You should have tightened the set skrews and then tighten the knob hard and then loostsn set skrews and re-align for added distance because of the more torque you have exerted on the job via hand .
Hardest part for me was separating the boot from the knob. The metal clamp was easy, but the plastic one was a bitch. Ended up taking a hacksaw to the knob, just above the edge that holds the top clamp to the boot. The plastic cuts easily and then it comes apart without any trouble. Can always buy another stock knob if I wanted to reverse the process. And you may dispense with the horrible music. Nothing is more unnecessary or annoying in "how-to" videos.
mine doe not come with screws to screw in, i just slide and screw the shift knob onto the gear stick, is that how’s it’s supposed to be or am i missing somthing?
Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial 😊
Where can we purchase just the adapter you used in the video?

What type of shift knob is in the beginning of the video? With the R on it
I just bought the sphere for my vw. Is the shift boot supposed to go to the bottom of the knob or will the shift be showing?
Shaft*
It'd help if you showed how to loosen the metal clamp
Grab with pliers and twist until it breaks.

There should have been small set screws in the baggie with the adaptor. Please email if they were not included. Thanks!
Does this add any length to the shifter
Is it the same on a manual 2015 skoda octavia vrs?

The silver insert is included when purchasing a Billetworkz shift knob.
@@Billetworkz name
@@Billetworkz what is the thread on the adapter? I’m looking to get another knob but don’t necessarily need another adapter
Will this fit on a Seat Ibiza’s as they use vw parts
If your current knob installs the same way, then yes, our adapter will work.
Ok thank you, can you also make shift boots to fit Seat models?

@@DPowerModz we manufacture the insert. We include it with all VW shift knobs.
