Wow you have top notch equipment & set up...very high quality equipment...very professional & very elegant set up...just those yahama speakers alone, cost a fortune...great video 👍!
very sleek setup! I love the elegant scrim look, it hurts my eyes every time I see DJs use the event tables or the truss totems without, i dont like the barebones look. As far as my wishlist for the year hopefully the addition of the Rockville totems, a couple of moving heads or mini kintas, and working on getting a projector to use for monograms, I was gonna buy the chauvet gobo usb but figured a projector is more versatile, as i am able to design my own monograms and can also design animated monograms, plus im an avid movie fanatic!
Hey Dash, Yes its the look I always wanted to achive, I do at Birthday parties and outdoor events miss the scrims off as I want them to be a 'Wedding Setup bonus' You will love totems on your setup when you get them. We really don't do the monogram stuff in the UK but having seen a couple of videos I think your making the right choice going with a projector! 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ Yes its quite common here in the states for brides to want to have the monogram and for sweet 16s and I figured it would be an easy upsell, or sell it all inclusive in a "best value" all in one package. I also do have a large music video library and always wanted to play with a screen like that.I own an older projector but it isnt bright enough. Thinking of also Freejaying for nearby apartment complex swimming pools and projecting a promo flyer or video on the wall to possibly land some gigs.
Do you use any sort of power conditioning unit or any other power safety device? I’d like to know a little bit more about how the power is wired up, as someone who is looking to upgrade my Mobile DJ setup.
Thank you brother for sharing! Love your set up! I use the same booth as well. Going to purchase the scrims black and white. I like the idea have the light on speaker. Sending you positive vibes from San Jose, California
Nice dj setup. Congratulations. For me is very important the love and good taste you put in your job and definitely you got it. I'm trying to get mine. Sorry for my English. Un abrazo desde México.
very clean set up enjoyable Entertaining gig logs, I strive to achieve the simple but elegant wedding package. you seem to have it masters. keep spinning
Thank you for your comment, really apprichiated. It's nice when others doing the same work apprichiate what you do! Next Wedding GigLog out Tuesday! 😎🎧👍🏻
Excellent polished setup and always great dj content on this channel 🙂👍Any chance of adding links in the description for the items used in the is video?
Looks good my man. You should consider getting the eliminator disco ball hook and adding a disco ball. It goes along way and people really love it, it’s classic, other than that you look clean and streamlined
Nice clean setup. I am not a fan of box truss, but scrimming them does give it a nicer effect. One suggestion... If I were you I may consider replacing the box trusses with 1 gravity stand and putting to behind you. (You could stack your twin movers) It would also make less gear to take and speed up setup time. I only utilize my Box trusses for 250 people plus parties.
Thanks Like you I only use this setup at bigger events or is specificly requested otehr waise I use a smaller more compact setup, thanks for watching and commenting its apprechiated 🎧😎👍🏻
They are absolutely amazing speakers, most of the time I don’t need the subs they are that good. Thanks for watching and commenting it’s appreciated 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ I sold my DXS15 subs and bought the new DXSMK2 12 inch subs and run them with the DXR10 tops. They are a lot lighter and sound amazing! The 15 inch subs were a bit much for most events and very heavy to move around. Always had to turn back the volume on them because of the earth shattering bass. lol.. Anyhow, nice set up you have there.
Nice set up clean and professional. The only small thing I see I'd maybe try to clean up your cables on your speakers a bit mate. I use bungi balls to tie them down with. Easy on easy off don't have to worry about tape residue or taking the time to remove gaffes tape everytime.
Looks SWEET AND NEAT. Recently started with lights n bolts to top of my speakers too.. Looks great n wish had done it years ago. Think would look 100 % better matching each side up.. Looks unlevel to me personally, only a thought. Sm58.. What a 🎤 an a personal fave. Enjoy your vidz /channel
Steve Rice Is that your OCD? 😎😂👍🏻 I understand but to be honest the Chauvet Wash FX2 are so bright I’m not sure it would be too much be I see what your saying 👍🏻 Yes great 🎤 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 😎🎧👍🏻
Not sure of ocd but deffo like uniformity lol.. Won't even buy cars with 1 rear fog /reversing lite so sort it out out with maybe lesser bright lights 😅😂😅😂
Late to your video but your setup looks very clean. I'd love to hear what you think about the Alto wireless. They have worked for me well since new as long as the transmitters and antennas are line of sight.
hi,i need those lights stands and the dj table and those covers too.tell me how pls.i have that pioneer cdjrx2 and the speakers and id love to do that kind of bussiness in kenya now.i love your setup bro
Hey ! Lovely set up , I would add another chauvate DJ wash fx 2 on the other side to give the dynamic look ! Also what size Yamaha subs dxs are you using ?
Nicely done, been doing the light on the speakers for ages to and think it adds to that clean, neat and compact look to customers etc. I Thoughts - Is it ADJ that emulates EQUINOX or is it the other way around?
This is the link, you will see the image on their site is wrong but if you read the description of the product it’s correct. Hope this helps www.simplysoundandlighting.co.uk/quad-1-5m-truss-cover-scrim-sox-sleeve-white-cover/ 😎🎧👍🏻
Sorry but must say I dont understand the lack off lights! This is nothing against you as I see so many set ups the same. I also understand that the dj makes the night before I get attacked!! I just feel there should be truss behind with moving heads on and a bigger front? Anyway love your channel and keep up the good work 👍
Phil Stoner thanks for your thoughts, personally I think there is enough lights, there seems to be a big move in the wedding market away from lights that put dots on people and instead they want lights that provide an immersive experience. I do offer different setups as options depending on what the Bride and Groom want and this is the most popular by a long way currently. Never know might change next year and I will dig my truss out and all the other lights! Glad you like the channel and appreciate the feedback 😎🎧👍🏻
Hi, The moving heads are set sound to light and then master and slave, I can cover this in a future video if you would like more details? Thanks for watching and commenting it’s appreciated 😎🎧👍🏻
as a new D.J. i am really struggling to buy equipment, as everything cost an arm and a leg, i'm not getting much work to cover the cost of buying new equipment as there are D,J.'s out there that have been around a lot longer than me, so really struggling to find a way to evolve as a business, any tips and ideas would be great
It’s not easy when starting out, you might want to consider concentrating on a type of event or party. Maybe try and get lots of teenage ones where there is less requirements on large setup and systems. Good luck and keep persevering 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ thank you for the information, i do have a half decent set up but always want everything today instead of being patient, thanks again, any advice is always welcome..
Rent what gear you want to use until you can make purchases. The rental company here in Atlantic Canada is Long and Mcquade. Their rental prices are very low.
Very nice setup and simple - not overloaded. Where do you have your mics? Are your moving heads working off of dmx? With the scrim on your table you cover that logo. You could find another way to do that and keep your logo.
Thank you, I lke to try and make it clutterless from the dance floor view. My microphone I use to speak in is locacated next to my Pioneer XDJ RX2 on the right, the micrphone for the camera is the built in camera one. Both moving heads are linked via Donna wireless set on sound to light / master and slave on one of the pre set shows with one in mirror mode opposed to matching exactly. Because its a Wedding setup I dont want any advertising showing. Thank you for watching and commenting 😎🎧👍🏻
Great setup. Good quality equipment. Only very minor pet peeve. Lose the stickers on your equipment. I saw two decals on your sub. It kind of detracts from the clean pro look you've got going on. Also when shooting a vlog and introducing yourself don't wear sunglasses. It makes you look cheesy. Like a stereotypical used car salesman. Later on you took them off and the viewers can see you. Stickers and sunglasses off.
Hi Guy, Thanks for your feedback, glad you like the equipment. Unfortunatly the stickers have to stay as they stop people putting drinks on my Subs! I used to have people put drinks on the subs all the time and then I added the stickers saying no food and no drinks! These days drinks are hardly ever put on them. If you subscribe to my channel you will find the glasses come and go with the seasons all depends on time of year and how bright its been. Thanks for watching 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ yes, some people can try to place drinks on gear and I've had times when i needed to move the odd one or two but rarely on subs, luckily. It was usually on the table when I used one. Not so much anymore.

Most of my 80’s and 90’s music is from CD’s I did a video about how to get older music
Good video, clean look but would recommend removing the stickers from the speakers, makes it look slightly cheap.
