Thanks to the family and what they do for a living and especially to George and his amazing crew and how lucky they were that the dangers were found and fixed.
George, time to mention the awesomeness of OUR American flag. Many, many thanks for the display of America. Oh yeah, you and your crew are always awesome in all ways possible. Thanks!
This kitchen transformation is awesome! Thank you so much George and the team who helped in the realization of dreams of a teacher and a firefighter! You were all wonderful people like angels from above! From Guimba, Nueva Ecija Philippines! A subscriber here!
Because when a dishwasher is put in, generally there's not a need for a large double bowl sink. One that has a single bowl lets the space around it be put to better use--think more counter top space--and it's really only needed to draw water from the tap, and maybe wash just a few items by hand.
@@jb6712 I have a dishwasher and still require a large sink as I have large soup pots, roasters, canning equipment, etc that do not go in the dishwasher. If a person is only using the sink to " draw water" and only have an occasional bowl to wash then they must eat take out or microwave a frozen meal or nuke a can of something off the shelf. If a person is not cooking needing a large sink why would they need more counter space or even a dishwasher?
I love what they did to this place. I am, however, a little concerned about having their home address shown on the blueprints in the video. Should probably be blurred out.
Only been watching 2 mins and I love this couple already! Edit: I want to know what happened to that huge dresser. Was it relocated inside the house or was it given to goodwill?

The very idea of needing permission (permits) to do work inside your own home is alien to me. I fail to see how anyone has any right to tell me what to do inside my own home, this is the government that is way too big and inside peoples homes as long as it is safe to do so you should be able to do as you wish.
When you are a licensed contractor and plumber and electrician you have to have permits to do the work ultimately they could cause a ton of damage water, fire, or foundation and those permits also hold those people liable if anything should happen. If you are doing a DIY renovation it's a little different depending on your city codes, you can't just add on a whole other room for example. I'm taking real estate classes right now and this kind of stuff was in my first few lessons. Example: if we are neighbors and I want to add a room onto the side of my house and it's on the same side as your house I would have to go to the courthouse and find out where our property lines are so I'm not encroaching on your property and adding different levels depends on the city codes so that your not interfering with anyone's air space and natural light there's a whole lot that goes into these types of projects
@@tinamayhle3512 In the UK we do not need permits to make changes inside our homes and very few problems arise. As for the courts, why on earth did you not get that fully wrangled out befoe you brought the place. planning permission may be needed for large external changes but certainly not all and lastly, WHY does the STATE make the assumption that it can tell me what to do on and with my property, NO they can PISS OFF.
Teacher and firefighter are Important jobs but not high-paying jobs and with how expensive real estate is where they live, they were probably doing well to afford the house. But it’s definitely a mess - design aside, fixing the wiring and the plumbing was a rescue.
But you know what? The remodeled kitchen and dining room are infinitely better than what they had--I mean, everything was falling apart (did you not see that????), there was dangerous knob-and-tube wiring (nasty stuff!), the floor was buckling and peeling--and THE COUPLE IS HAPPY with their new kitchen. THE COUPLE IS HAPPY---end of story, that's it, period, DONE.
I love the whole 'ok, this is a mess, how do we start the job?' brainstorm at the beginning. Every time.
Walter ❤️❤️❤️! Great parents!

I’ve watched like 7 of the kitchen renos by George and it’s a tiny sink EVERY. TIME.

It's a much nicer kitchen. For once, somebody knows enough about cooking to understand that it's necessary to have pot holders.
I don't think so! The kitchen is very crowded!
When does George get time to eat or sleep?
Jack shut the pantry door ....he was about to get a start on his family
Who sold them that death trap of A house!!!
If they encountered electrical and plumbing problems in the kitchen, were there plans to update these issues in the rest of the home?

I've noticed in these rescue shows the "designers" trash any vintage furnishings. Oh, and they all want to use white sofas. LOL

What part does Coldwell Banker play in the rescues? Are the homeowners taking out loans for the materials? Just curious.
