I tend to use up some of the spare pages by writing a letter to myself reflecting on the year. This can include major life changes, small things I am proud of or even bigger local/national/global news or events that took place during the year. I always start the letter of by writing "Dear Maria, this year was challenging/great/filled with oportunities to grow/other" ❤😊
Something I have done through my professional (and personal) life is a Review/Preview. In other words, a summary of the past year: what worked, what didn’t, highlights and lowlights; followed by a vision for the upcoming year separate from specific goals. The Preview for the next year is more of a 50k foot level vision. I also like to keep a few pages in the rear for doodling and just randomness like odd-ball lists and notes.
Psssst! I'm an ultra wizard. Sometimes I end up with A LOT of pages left. But, I still really want to start a new bujo for a new year. So, I have used pages up with doodle practice, lettering practice, long form journaling, trying out a different type of journal that I'm not quite ready to devote a full notebook to, or a place to write down notes while working on a mystery box.
I’m currently using the rest of the pages in my first journal to plan out 2023 journals for myself, husband, and oldest son. I’ve been sketching out page layout and font ideas to test them out. Thanks again for another great video Jess!
When I start a bujo I plan it according to how many pages I have per month after my yearly pages. That way I am left with only 3-4 free pages at the end of the journal. I use those as a reflection on the past year, a kind of introspection. I manage to fit a whole year in a bujo. I use the Yop and Tom 160 gsm bujo. I think this is possible because I tend to work by week not by days, don't have enough happening :) my life is quiet.
Psst, I‘m a wizard as well 😂 I‘m so excited for vlogmas & all the great stuff you share with us! I actually had some leftover pages in my last bujo & some plans how to fill them (guess who inspired me 😉) but as I finished it in October it still felt a bit weird to use it for yearly collections… so I decided to let them be and might use them for tip-ins etc. in another one ☺️ if I won’t need them, I‘d see myself using some of them for the personality tests 😄 (whenever I do the Myers-Briggs - it’s (almost) always the same 😂 only my level of intro/extroverted changes depending on stuff like anxiety 🙈 So I‘m either I/ENFP but rather troubled 🤣)
Psst I'm a wizard! I completely understand how you feel about sickness. I've been out of work for 3 weeks because I have the stomach flu and it's hard to feel normal
Psst, I'm also a wizard... Excited for you and your goals for 2023! And vlogmas! And Spotify Wrapped 2022 just came out so your spread is going to help me plan mine out for the end of my current journal
.........homies.... I just use my journals until they're done. Calendar dates are a bit arbitrary. But these do seem like fun activities to do regardless :)
I decided to use my spare pages for my next year's bullet journal entries. I used the leuchtturm1917 and it was too expensive (for my liking) in my country. I normally don't do fancy pages in it but your Spotify page idea interests me. So what music listener personality did you get? Mine's the Nomad.
I don't have extra space at the back of my journal - I budgeted too well lol - but I do have some unused pages at the beginning because I didn't do much with the year-long pages 😅
Whenever I do one of those Myers-Briggs things, I always seem to get a different result! The only thing they have in common is that the first letter is always I for Introvert, but the others change, lol!
Lately it's been very Me: thinks about sth BuJo related Me: randomly browses TH-cam JashiiCorrin: new, pretty and engaging video about that exact topic 😃

Maybe it’s bad, but I’m just so excited to start my new journal that I don’t feel guilty about any empty pages in my old journal!
Haha I'm right there with you 😝
Crikey Jess, we're being spoilt with all the content :) Thank you :)
I actually do the theme page because of you already, but I also have a space for the font I use (if using Dafont)
Haha happy to spoil you! 😄💜
