I live vicariously through your "in the wild hunts". There are no stores around me that have anything like this. Even Barnes and Noble only have small sections of mostly things I already own.
I have to drive to find the good stuff... still havent been to 2nd and Charles because it is an hour or more away! This book nook is closing too! but the CD Warehouses are GREAT!
I'm a big fan of Superman myself. I have the Donner cut DVD myself and the Blu-ray. It's a rather interesting watch. The best version of the movie, in my mind, would have been somewhere in between the Donner cut and Lester version. Lester loved to put goofy/ odd comedy bits in his films that to me never belonged in the Chris Reeve Superman. For example...( The guy that is talking in the phone booth while being blown away, and he's not even connected to a line.) Great pickup, Chase.
Ha ha, Supernatural is an absolute gem! I named my youngest son Jensen Jared so that should tell you how I feel about Supernatural! :) Appreciate the video my friend! Awesome pickups!
I was at the Book Nook just today. Everything in there is half off so $6.00 movies ring up $3.00. I bought a good amount of 4ks from them this past year before the building was purchased and they announced they were closing. Sad to see them go, they were instrumental in building my movie collection.
They do have a lot of DVDs. 😊 Two I saw that I would have bought would be Aeon Flux (if it's in 4k) and the Donnie Darko (if it's the Director's Cut in Blu-ray). I don't own either of those. Also, True Blood was such a great show!
Chase, I have my physical media collection set down to a science. I'll have 5 groups for whatever I buy (because there's A LOT I have no interest in ever owning). There's three main genres of Horror, Western, and Sci-Fi, while there will be two other categories of pre Hays Code films and Roger Corman films (even though Roger made a lot movies that also fit into my genres, I'll keep his separate since he did so many). That's it...nice and tight. I want films for a cinematic experience, rather than a fun story. If I'm investing in building a home theatre for the first time ever, it'll be for specific films. And I'm also pretty picky about what I actually would buy on 4k vs Blu-ray or simply DVD. Again, there's a ton of movies I have no interest in owning. Thanks for your help in getting me to understand physical media better. 😊🎥💀🤠👽🎥💯
You really have alot of stores to choose from. My ”in the wild” would be very different. Lol. From my office chair. Hope you had a great christmas! Realm of souls is a must have! Creature Feature and all your makings actually. I will write Vinegar and demand releases! Cheers!
I do a lot from my office chair too! lol!!! I had a great Christmas! I hope you did too!! and thank you! Id LOVE to see my movies get the VS treatment! all of them!
there are two 2nd and charles near me BUT they are both over an hour away...supposedly they have a great selection though...and something they have that is cool is a box with filled with like 50 dvd, blu ray and 4k movies for $30 ...that could be a fun thing to do and see what we get lol
2nd and Charles in recommend checking out the disc's before buying picked up 101 Dalmatians on bluray for $9 in Flordia just got home and no store around to return it and no disc's in it
Some great pick up, I have the Brewster Million BluRay with the slip myself love that movie, I am also going to post my second video of 15 underrated/unseen films I own will hopefully get that out either tomorrow morning or sometime this weekend, but yeah congrats on the great pickups
The Donner's cut is serious like the original annnnnd gives us exactly how he receives his power back and solidifies the Jesus narrative! I actually got chills watching it!!..... tiktoker G.A.TURKS 💪🏾
I was also wondering if you could do a video about shows that DO or DON'T hold their weight over the years? I saw Downton Abbey and True Blood and Supernatural and I thought "Downton Abbey kinda sucks, regarding the storyline, meaning it hasn't aged well...wheras, I think True Blood has held its weight over time. Supernatural I don't really know, but you probably would. I think this of Roseanne nowadays, it was hilarious back in the day but I don't really see it like that anymore. Cheers seems to have held up. Anyways, I was just wondering. 😊 BTW, something I recently noticed about some movies I used to really love is that they're actually Sappy AF. Like, they're too sentimental for me now. 😅
I picked up that same DVD set for Friday a few months ago for 5 bucks. There is a 4K for the first Friday film as I have considered getting it too. I just got Appollo 13 on 4K from Gruv today and it only cost ten dollars. The same goes for the regular Blu-rays for Over the Top, Tango and Cash, and Demolition Man. I couldn't see getting that 4K for so much more when I'm happy with the regular Bluray and my DVD copy of Tango and Cash, which was stolen years ago has now been replaced with a better quality copy.
Hey everyone! I am out hunting again and you wont believe what I found! Pop that tape in I got you let's go do this
I found 10 seasons of Big Bang Theory on Blu-ray for a buck per season at the pawn shop. I just had to complete the set off Ebay.

I feel your pain.

I went out this morning and found the arrow 4K box of crimson peak for $15 at half price books. I consider that a score.

Yeah I hadn't seen donnie darko on dvd recently but I have the 4k!!
@AVAPopCulture I don't own any version of it, but the director's cut is much better IMO. The special features and the "Number 1 Fan" video. 😃😅
Any Comments on Paramount No Longer putting out Blu Rays?
You really have alot of stores to choose from. My ”in the wild” would be very different. Lol. From my office chair.

Priest is a terrible film. You should have gotten Dom Hemingway. Underrated gangster film and Jude Law plays a major degenerate. Very cool flick!
