I never get tired of this video. Puts a lump in my throat every time. I have always liked Richie much much better than JBJ. Interesting note about his guitar. It's a Matthias Jabs Gold Mastercaster that Richie bought from M.J. back in 2008 at his Munich, Germany store. MJ Guitars. The two have a friendship that dates back way back when both Bon Jovi and Scorpions toured together. When M.J. started designing his own label of guitars, many rock stars would visit him and buy from him. The world of rock and roll is such a small one. BTW: Richie has new music out and a tour coming up. So I'm glad he hasn't stopped for his fans.
Charlotte Moreau I saw them live when Jon left stage Richie took the lead vocals for I’ll be there for you backed by David, and then they did in these arms with David on lead vocals and Richie backing. I’ve seen David do lead vocals on in these arms maybe 3 times in 20odd gigs
Not on a whole new level, but probably just on a different level. However, and for me, the original, Jon Bon Jovi's is still THE BEST and of course most iconic.

Oh my dearest Carol...I just turned 60 myself. My heart broke reading your note. If I had a teleport machine, I would send you back into the 90's to see Bon Jovi in concert. It is with a heavy heart that I tell you I've lost count on the amount of times I saw them live. The first time I saw them was September 9, 1989 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California. At that time, I was coming to terms with the departure of Steve Perry from Journey. Through HS & College, Journey was my band. Without Steve, Journey was dead to me. I have heard this song performed by Jon soooo many times, it's lovely but coming from Richie it is so much warmer, true, heart-melting. I am crying. I absolutely can not wrap my head around how can there be a bon jovi band without THE Richie Sambora.
There's no coincidence IBTFY or ITA weren't played on this tour. Nobody can sing those songs like Rich did (or still does as a solo act). Miss them together, though :(
Richie was the soul of Bon Jovi. Jon may be the front singer but Richie sings with more heart. What they had together was unique and I don't like Bon Jovi without Richie.
The voice & guitar that have made me swoon since I was 17. Standing on the guard rail in my high heeled black granny boots right in front of you all nite at the Slippery When Wet Tour w/ Cinderella. I flashed you & you smiled. Good times 😊😆
Richie has the MSG audience in his hands. He was the backbone of Bon Jovi and wouldn't Jon like to have Richie's amazing voice now as his voice is gone.
@@stephanusjohannes422 when his recovery will be finished he will sound a lot better I believe. But I know a fantastic Coverband called Bounce from Germany and the leadsinger sounds Like Jon in Bon Jovi's biggest hits.
My favorite part of soooo many of BJ songs is when I hear Richie voice doing back up vocals. His voice gives me chills. To hear him doing this is amazing. It's almost like a completely different song. Country feel to it. Absolutely love it !!!! Miss him.
The band is a band and will forever be bon Jovi. The bottom line is every one of them is talented all the backup players David is amazing Tico is amazing Jon bon Jovi is amazing. To pull a band together with a man named David x and still have the unbelievable following speaks volumes and they all sing volumes. As I said before Richie chose to lose the band never showed up never called Miss 88 shows and could have ruined hundreds of Korea's of all the Roadies so as much as I love him and I miss seeing him he did this to the band the band did not do this to him. So let's get real here Richie sambora split without any explanation
Richie Sambora é(foi) sem dúvida um dos maiores guitarrista do mundo ! Se tem um cara que o Jon deve e muito é ao Sambora ! Sem dúvida a alma da banda.… Seus solos e rifs se eternizaram

Jon just doesnt sound the same without his partner in crime. They sound perfect together
Jon was front man but not the soul, clearly Sambora was, proved it in this performance
I have heard this song performed by Jon soooo many times, it's lovely but coming from Richie it is so much warmer, true, heart-melting. I am crying. I absolutely can not wrap my head around how can there be a bon jovi band without THE Richie Sambora.
I attended Richie last week, and Jon a few years ago. Richie version is indeed way better, this music was made for his voice

Richie wow... what a fkg legend!!! Amazing!!!
im so glad richies coming back .the band hasnt been the same without him
When is he coming back?
@@TheCatholicPreacher when Jon gets his health and voice together
@@johnstecich7990 Jon Bon Jovi is ok he’ll make it
This is the first time I've seen Richie being a lead vocal for while and it's wow...
The voice & guitar that have made me swoon since I was 17. Standing on the guard rail in my high heeled black granny boots right in front of you all nite at the Slippery When Wet Tour w/ Cinderella. I flashed you & you smiled. Good times 😊😆
Nice 🙌🏻😂❤😎🎸
Bon jovi the band wouldn't have made it big without Rich Sambora.
Hello Vickie
How are you doing?
It's nice meeting you here!
He’s been gone for years lol
@@jamesholden7000 the 30 + years with Richie were the best.
it was ALL of them together
*Underrated Guitar Player!*
Now i want him to sing every song. Damn what a performance
Don't know how I got here in July of 2022, but sure glad I did. What a performance... WOW.
Richie has the MSG audience in his hands. He was the backbone of Bon Jovi and wouldn't Jon like to have Richie's amazing voice now as his voice is gone.
His voice isn't gone at all, he had a surgery and his voice will come back or just came back.
@@BJKDMoni its gone.... tribute bands sound better!!
@@stephanusjohannes422 when his recovery will be finished he will sound a lot better I believe. But I know a fantastic Coverband called Bounce from Germany and the leadsinger sounds Like Jon in Bon Jovi's biggest hits.
@@BJKDMoniJon is washed up as a singer..he's retired

The guy is pure talent and pure soul, my hero, the cowboy himself, he’s seen a million faces and he’s rocked them all 🤘🏻😎🎸❤️
My favorite part of soooo many of BJ songs is when I hear Richie voice doing back up vocals. His voice gives me chills. To hear him doing this is amazing. It's almost like a completely different song. Country feel to it. Absolutely love it !!!! Miss him.
Richie is the soul of Bon Jovi. Him and Jon are dynamic duo. They belong together. Please forgive and reunite. Life is to short
It was his choice to leave he made the band change
The band is a band and will forever be bon Jovi. The bottom line is every one of them is talented all the backup players David is amazing Tico is amazing Jon bon Jovi is amazing. To pull a band together with a man named David x and still have the unbelievable following speaks volumes and they all sing volumes. As I said before Richie chose to lose the band never showed up never called Miss 88 shows and could have ruined hundreds of Korea's of all the Roadies so as much as I love him and I miss seeing him he did this to the band the band did not do this to him. So let's get real here Richie sambora split without any explanation
Did something happen
@@helenellsworth4713 agree Got to forgive or you’re not Gods He said we had to forgive one another can’t hold a grudge and get to heaven
Hats to David, fu***ng hell he did such a good job as backing vocals in this song Jesus Christ!!
Richie Sambora é(foi) sem dúvida um dos maiores guitarrista do mundo ! Se tem um cara que o Jon deve e muito é ao Sambora ! Sem dúvida a alma da banda.… Seus solos e rifs se eternizaram
Richie is so underrated!!! pure gold talent!
