I'm so glad she kept trying to talk, because it shows how quickly a stroke can affect your speech. This is nothing to play with.

It could have been so much worse.
When I was 60, I would have random dizzy spells, and a few seconds of "tunnel vision", however I am on several medications, whose side effects are short dizzy spells. So I ignored the symptoms I was experiencing. I was also still riding my motor cycle,.....and I had a couple of episodes, while out for a ride. I pulled into a parking lot until the symptoms went away and continued my ride. Then a few weeks later, I rode my motor cycle to an annual medical exam. The doctor listened to the blood flow in my carotid arteries, and became alarmed. He wanted me to go directly to the hospital emergency room, I told him I was fine and wanted to ride back to my house, which was only 3 miles away. I got home, felt fine, and had my girlfriend drive me to an emergency room. They performed an outpatient exam, and determined I had been experiencing "mini", strokes. Which I had recalled had occurred, at least 8 random times over a years time. I also figured I was probably dehydrated, which can cause some of those same symptoms. I had to have surgery to unclog one of my carotid arteries and have a "stent" installed in the other one. (YIKES),.....Typical male behavior: ignore any symptoms of illness.

Just over a month ago, my 77 yr old mom had some symptoms that my sisters and I thought indicated possible stroke. C-T scan showed evidence of stroke but neurologist was more concerned that a mass almost 4cm by 4cm & swelling were the source of her problems. A few says later, she had a craniotomy at MHR & we are thrilled to report she us doing great despite the mass size & likely pathology. Mom is alive & there was no lasting damaging symptoms such as difficulty with her right side foot drag, right hand & arm loss of control & difficulty with speech & confusion. Thank GOD she did not have a massive stroke or seizure. Thank GOD for all the medical staff & especially her surgeon that has given us more quality time with our Mom that we might not have had if this wasn't caught & acted upon so quickly & skillfully.
So glad she made it! I hope she continues to recover!

I am glad that you are ok now.
I remembered when my wife got mild stroke, she cannot straightend her walk and her right side face starting to collapse.
Luckily she was rushed to hospital and she was saved. I was not her side that time because i was working in Saudi Arabia and she was in the Philippines.
Now, my wife is fine and well.
We always have regular check up to make sure we are always ok.

Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca were all granted legal immunity from lawsuits. Nah, it was just a stroke.
I agree those could've caused this, but I am pretty sure its because she is quite overweight.

Julie Chin I'm so glad you got the help you needed and that your prognosis is great my husband Robert Bittner had a stroke at 47 years of age he was seemingly the picture of health it just came out of nowhere thankfully he too is okay and even back to work here in Tulsa he's a Stone Mason who's beautiful work can be seen all over the Tulsa area I'm so blessed that he got help and I'm praying for you it is a process for sure God Bless you and your coworkers!!

Julie is lucky,i think it's because she was talking that prevented a full stroke.

It sounds like she had a TIA or mini stroke. My husband had one at the age of 34 (18 years ago), no family history of strokes either. Thankfully all the symptoms resolved themselves just like hers have but it is often a warning sign of a possibly major stroke in the future. My husband has had regular checkups since then and preventative medications to prevent any major strokes. Even with these measures he has still ended up having 2 small strokes. The first one was a "silent stroke", we didn't find out that it had happened until he had a 2nd one and they found scarring in the brain to show it had occured previously. Now he is on blood thinners where previously he had only been on Plavix to help keep the platelets from sticking together too much. Sadly, my father recently died from a stroke. He may have had warning signs (he was having some blurred vision and headaches a few days before the massive stroke) but he blew it off in his usual way and just got on with life, until it was ended suddenly by the stroke. He had just turned 65 and was in seemly good health.
Anyone who reads this; please learn to recognize the various signs for a stroke. It does not always present the way you think it does from TV & movies. My husband's TIA presented as numbness in one side of his face and difficulty speaking (slurred and sounding like he just got out of the dentists office after having teeth pulled). His 2nd stroke was numbness in one side of his body in the arm & leg, but otherwise seemed fine. We can really only guess at my dad's, but weakness, dizziness, and a major headache were noted before he lost the ability to talk coherently. In the end my dad was unable to even keep his eyes open or move half of his body. They were unable to remove the clot(s) that caused his stroke(s) and we had to say our goodbyes 2 days later as his brain was swelling so badly and the doctors said there was nothing they could do for him.

I agree. When I first heard about this and saw a photo of her, I thought she looks so young. So, I wondered how this could happen to someone at a younger age. And then I saw how she is overweight and then I realized why this happened. This is a lesson telling her it may be time to make some lifestyle changes and get active and lose weight.

Yeah millions of people get vaccinated - you don't know anyone who had any problem with the vaccine other than a couple of days of flu symptoms, neither do I, out of the thousands and thousands of Doctors in this country, none of them are coming forward to say the vaccine is harming their patients - but it must be "the jab". Please get mental help and stop spreading misinformation that gets people killed. You're going to have to explain yourself to God one day. I wouldn't want to be you.
