We all have had rough spots. Yiur husbnd could not have picked a better song to convey his feelings. Wonderfi\ul you could go the distance. Marriage is a marathon, not a sprint. My wife and I have had our problems .........52 years late we are still here and I still listen to the love songs.
I saw Cheap Trick last night 10/20/23 in Modesto Ca, for the first time they were amazing for 1 1/2 hours, people danced, sang it didn’t matter on the age everybody was so joyous we all forgot about the world problems that surrounded us it was so good people my age 70 to young kids having the time of their lives is a beautiful sight to see thank you again Cheap Trick.
Know what you are talking about. I saw them in 1977 at the Long Beach arena and I'm 59 now and remember it like it was yesterday. This song didn't come out til years later but they were absolutely amazing live in concert.
Saw them on a beautiful Summer night here in Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦!!! They were amazing!!! Love ♥️love ♥️Cheap Trick.. especially Robin Zander!!!😘🔥♥️😍 It was a very beautiful night 🌙✨ and time that I will never forget!!! Happy Happy Birthday Robin!!!🎈🎂🎉🥳 Love ♥️you forever!!!
A dear friend of mine passed away and this was his favorite band. He could play all their songs on guitar and drums. Knew every lyric. Rest in peace Kevin
I remember when CNN was the only choice for cable news back in the early 90s and I could not believe Rockford, Illinois was on the list of one of the worst places to live in America, being from Illinois and the list consisted of only probably 6 cities/ towns. I cannot recall the others in the list.
Give me one day of life in the 1980s and I would willingly give up 100 days of life in these times. I remember that song, can I get emotional enough ? Those were better days. The turntables . The approachability of human beings. Paper maps that we knew we could find our way. Phones were available when we needed them. People were not walking around like zombies staring at these things in their hands.
I remember the summer of 1979. I was 16. And I remember this live album that had the song I want you to want me. It was a very big hit. But the biggest hit of all was Blondie's heart of glass. I remember a pack of cigarettes was about $ 1.00 , then we could buy them in machines. The stores did not ask for id either. I could buy beer at 17. And there were not surveillance cameras everywhere like these times.
Had the opportunity to see them a couple of times over the years. Always a great show, even with anticipating each song they never get old and always deliver. Robin's voice is timeless. They are one of the great bands that are always fun. Listening to them brings back a lot of fond memories from the past.
Ever since Live at The Budokan I've followed CT. I saw them open for Peter Frampton and the y rocked. This song was well produced and played... a real hit!
I waited on their table one night when they stopped to eat in TX. I was just 17 (back in 1979), and have followed them since. Didn’t tip worth a crap 🤪, but still love their music.
I don’t know about that. . . . I might give him like the 4th or 5th spot though perhaps. . . I feel like Geoff Tate around the same time period was untouchable.
oh god, this takes me back. back to a time with a special young lady, we were young and love was new. it never lasted and i accepted it but i never gave up. 30 years later and this song brought back some strong feelings, to bad thats all we have now. cindy durose, i still think of you often and miss you, hope youre well.
I was fortunate enough to get to see this band live, when this song was released..... They are a world class act....i saw them in Atlanta, GA..... At Six Flags Over GA..... Around this time in space, i got to see many , many bands live pretty much at their peak.... If you liked concerts, it was one of the best times to be alive..... And everybody went, a lot of them were held in Macon and Atlanta..... The concert's were straight up, non stop party's.... There would be so much weed smoke in there, you just about needed a respirator to breathe and it would burn your eyes red like they were through..... I was very fortunate to have been there for the ride..... It was sweet.......
My baby sisters favorite...born 12/24/66 died 5/1/11. Pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed by her on her birthday. Took her own CT scan. Ignored abdominal pain as a surgical RN. Miss her bad. Talk to her every day. Hard to listen to but love this song.
Man, this song has power! I can't believe this is the first time I've heard this despite the 80s and 90s being my era. The bonus is that I've got the rest of their catalogue to discover. Awesome!
I attended his concert with my late brother. He will mark 15 years of his death. We had fun in our teens. I miss him forever. RIP Art. I love you too 😢❤🪶💖 4:52
saw them play in Allentown Pa in the late 70s. They came out for 4 encores. The last time they came out they said they didnt know what to play, but they still played a 4th encore. What a concert,
Preciosa canción en letra y música, me atrevo a decir que es el tema más lindo de esta banda, no me canso de oírla tanto por ellos como los cover de otras bandas.
This song brings back memories of the late 80s. I remember Navy boot camp, particularly with this song and. “Don’t know what you got till it’s gone “ by Cinderella.
Great band that doesn’t need auto tune ruining a great performance. Aside from that I don’t know how the band changed apparel and instruments at about 2:05 into the video. Zander ditched his Fender for another six string.
My favourite American band who love roy wood and his song's. Caught them in Australia long time ago. Pity here in the UK they don't mean a lot..but I love them and Rick's guitars are brilliant
Does Robin Zander have pipes or what? Another singer like that is Getty Lee from Rush. I can rock with them, but I confess this will always be my favorite. Saw Cheap Trick in Bezerkley in the early 80s. Then again first concert after COVID restrictions drop at Reno's Atlantis Casino Showroom😎
Everytime i watched this i had a teary eyes coz its so very emotional..full of heart when i listened ..very nice powerful voice of arnel.always said arnel is arnel & perry is perry .they are both respected..gifted voice from our Lord..both great performers.. Thank God..we are all brothers for journey go. Go..journey❤❤❤
Great song. Number 1. Fantastic "version"? This is the original version. Like the pill... I'm 98% sure. Do you agree? Rockford, IL home grown I believe!
My husband played this for me in a rough spot in our marriage, I had never heard it before…it speaks to me of his love for me…31 years now.
We all have had rough spots. Yiur husbnd could not have picked a better song to convey his feelings. Wonderfi\ul you could go the distance. Marriage is a marathon, not a sprint. My wife and I have had our problems .........52 years late we are still here and I still listen to the love songs.
When I see this video & see the emotion that Robin has it must be just as real.

Tremenda canción. Que bella época fueron los 80.
Most of the best music at least in my life came out in the late 70's all the way thru the 80s. I love music from that era.
💯
Rock is now essentially dead
Referring to new groups songs etc
Only memories of old songs
Exactly 💯..80s were the prime time these unforgettable songs came through and hit the air waves 🎸🙏🏼
Really Love this song!!!! I saw them at Merced County Fair. The
Best Ever!!!
This version is the studio recording. Played over live performances. There's a really good live version.
Agreed, it's the studio recording and not a live version.
I thought someone kept sneaking on stage and changing their hats....
Just a beautiful song.. The words of growing up in my teenage years... So many feelings came to me.... My first love...❤❤❤❤...
