I’ve literally watched this series three times already. It’s surprisingly incredible and the animation is so flawless, I LOVE it!!!! The frame by frame reminds me of how Disney used to animate and it just brings me so much joy to see this animation style again. 🥰
"...Traditional Animation..." "... costs 5.6 kashmillion dollars to produce 1 ep..." Sorry I can't hear you over how much I need to watch this right now bye
They need to make more shows like this. Frame by frame like the good ol days. Wonderful worth the money, and the time. This show was wonderful and I watched ever episode in one day and rewatched it the next. I cant wait for a second season does anyone else agree?
wAIT this is traditional animation?? Frame by frame??? Holy shit, how did I not realize that on my own!? I didn't recognize it! I've gotten so used to never seeing frame-by-frame animation nowadays that I've forgotten what it looks like! I... I'm stunned and disappointed in myself.
Irrelevant Person It might be because it was digital traditional. The look and feel of digital is a bit different from pencil animation, a bit.. smoother or polished I think. Both are wonderful though, it’s so exciting to see traditional animation~ Fun fact: The makers of the game Cuphead actually tested to see if digital traditional would give them the feeling they wanted, as it is slightly easier, but found it just not quite right compared to what Pencil animation gave them. So it’s not a surprise you couldn’t quite tell it was traditional, as the feel is a bit different from what one might expect!
Well, good thing traditional animation isn't obsolete but I think the cel animation never exist anymore since Ed, Edd, and Eddy will be the last and the new and all improved digital ink and paint becomes more improved nowadays.
Considering it is getting more seasons and what the ending implied. There could be chances of Guy and Sam entering "other books" and meeting the various throughout the world of Seuss.
Hearing you rhyme makes me cry, My ears are begging "let us die!" Not everyone is Dr. Suess, Making rhymes so sweet like Chocolate Mousse. I am a big animation fan, So I look forward to watching this when I can.
Rhyming on TH-cam is quite the surprise... sometimes in the comments or even the replies! But I should expect as much if it's pertaining to Dr. Suess. Still, I better post this comment before my phone runs out of juice.
@DYLAN Plays There is no finish around the bend, No solid line to signal the end! Even though you swerve, around every curve, Rhymes continue to Infinity, Far beyond The limits of Eternity!
I just finished the show today and oh my goodness is it fantastic. As a fan of hand drawn animation, you'd bet I adored the gorgeous animation but there were other elements that kept me watching obviously. The writing was witty, heartfelt, had strong messages about family and I'll admit I even cried at one point (The scene in the tent where we find out why Sam loves green eggs and ham broke me) I thought the characters were all very likable and cute, my favorite one being Guy who goes through great character development as the show went on. I think the only issue I had with it is that the main villain was kind of weak to me and I definitely prefer the goat as an antagonist but aside from that, I loved this freaking show.
effort is put into ALL animation, some just takes more effort than others. like this. a loooooot of effort. flash still takes work, but it's traditionally used to cut corners.
I thought it would be a standard little kiddie show, but it had enjoyable characters, a surprisingly well-written narrative with a pretty good twist, and a nice theme of never giving up that they managed to never make corny or generic. Props to creators. 8/10.
OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS I literally just finished the series half an hour ago and I love it with my heart and soul The animation and pacing and the lovable characters and sad moments are just so beautiful ;^;
I’ll give you that, I haven’t seen the show yet. It is true that the more money you have, the more power you have to do either good or evil, on a grander scale. And I’ll admit that it makes an easy villain. It just feels a bit overused at times.
This exactly. It's also why Mary Poppins Returns' plot (when it actually cared to exist) galled me so much that I didn't even bother finishing the movie.
My favorite part of the whole series was the "Bromance" Sam and Guy, I found it very nice and really enjoy every moment on screen they had together. By the way, Why doesn't anyone talk about the scene where Sam takes out a guy-shaped doll from him suitcase and kisses him?
I honestly loved this with all my heart. The animation was smooth and colorful. It brought back my childhood in an interesting, modern, and giggly way. It was a 10/10.
He praised Hazbin Hotel to hell and back (heh). My only problem with that was he didn't actually say what the weak parts were, so it felt a bit exaggerated.
@@crispycreations6508 Apparently yeah. I heard Steven Spielberg's helping out with it too but all I know has been from rumours and hearsay so it may or may not be true.
Another reason you should watch this show if you haven't: They have _AMAZING_ voice actors. One of the episodes, Mouse, has a mouse(duh), who's French. The mouse is voiced by no other than Daveed Diggs, the actor of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton. And he sings a little song, which is cute and wholesome, before going dark(that's this show for you). So, the voice actors are definitely well-chosen.
You know what's amazing? Netflix confirmed that Green Eggs and Ham is getting renewed for season 2 (called, Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving) :DD
I watched the first few episodes. It’s pretty good! A bit more cliche-spy-movie ish, but really good! (Animation is as stunning as ever) **spoilers ahead** We get to see Sam’s mom, and that’s fun! Hope she gets more development, she seems really cold. Really excited to see her backstory
Can pray that WB goes with the animation style they used for the Green Eggs and Ham series for any film adaptations they make, like the Cat in the Hat remake.
If it's $6.5 million per episode as their 13 episodes in the show, then that means the first season cost $84.5 million. Damn Overall I love this show along with the fact that Green Eggs and Ham is my favorite Dr. Seuss book.
"Sam I am, Sam I am, I do not like that Sam I am!" "Would you like Green Eggs and Ham?" "No, I would not like Green Eggs and Ham! I do not like them Sam I am!" "Would you like them here or there?" "No I would not like them here or there, I would not like them anywhere! I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I am!" "Would you like them in a house? Would you like them with a mouse?" "I would not like them in a house, I would not like them with a mouse! I would not like them here or there, I would not like them anywhere! I've watched it at least 11 or 12 times and I haven't gotten bored of it!

They need to make more shows like this. Frame by frame like the good ol days. Wonderful worth the money, and the time. This show was wonderful and I watched ever episode in one day and rewatched it the next. I cant wait for a second season does anyone else agree?
What do they do instead?
Flash animation
It's finally out, took so long but great stuff too!
wAIT this is traditional animation?? Frame by frame??? Holy shit, how did I not realize that on my own!? I didn't recognize it! I've gotten so used to never seeing frame-by-frame animation nowadays that I've forgotten what it looks like! I... I'm stunned and disappointed in myself.
I now have hopes that traditional animation isn't dead!
Not cel Animation but stilp
Irrelevant Person It might be because it was digital traditional. The look and feel of digital is a bit different from pencil animation, a bit.. smoother or polished I think. Both are wonderful though, it’s so exciting to see traditional animation~
Fun fact: The makers of the game Cuphead actually tested to see if digital traditional would give them the feeling they wanted, as it is slightly easier, but found it just not quite right compared to what Pencil animation gave them. So it’s not a surprise you couldn’t quite tell it was traditional, as the feel is a bit different from what one might expect!
CupHead got that good treatment too
Well, good thing traditional animation isn't obsolete but I think the cel animation never exist anymore since Ed, Edd, and Eddy will be the last and the new and all improved digital ink and paint becomes more improved nowadays.
I hope we get other stories done in this style, a whole connected universe.
Considering it is getting more seasons and what the ending implied. There could be chances of Guy and Sam entering "other books" and meeting the various throughout the world of Seuss.
I hope so
theres a cuphead show coming aswell and its gonna be hand drawn too so... yee

The tent scene made me tear up, it was sad
That tent scene was just sad and at the end i can't wait for season 2 too see the mother
The sketch animation with all the scale bars shows the level of detail put in.
Just binge watched it, I loved it, i was so glad it wasn’t horrendous like I expected
This show Is good!?
Shut the front door!

I'm glad to see that there's still effort put into cartoons : D
effort is put into ALL animation, some just takes more effort than others. like this. a loooooot of effort. flash still takes work, but it's traditionally used to cut corners.
I thought it would be a standard little kiddie show, but it had enjoyable characters, a surprisingly well-written narrative with a pretty good twist, and a nice theme of never giving up that they managed to never make corny or generic. Props to creators.
8/10.
OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS

“Evil billionaires, amirite?”
-Every major Hollywood company
This show looks awesome, though.
To be fair it's not the cliche if your rich your evil, but more abusing your power and harming animals for your own pleasure.
I’ll give you that, I haven’t seen the show yet. It is true that the more money you have, the more power you have to do either good or evil, on a grander scale. And I’ll admit that it makes an easy villain. It just feels a bit overused at times.
typhoon 89 Counterpoint: Billionaires exist.
This exactly. It's also why Mary Poppins Returns' plot (when it actually cared to exist) galled me so much that I didn't even bother finishing the movie.
It's called projection. All the people making these horrible Hollywood movies are evil billionaires.
My favorite part of the whole series was the "Bromance" Sam and Guy, I found it very nice and really enjoy every moment on screen they had together. By the way, Why doesn't anyone talk about the scene where Sam takes out a guy-shaped doll from him suitcase and kisses him?

The animation is what really captured me. Fluent, nice little details and everything.
Also, saber doing a positive review?
He praised Hazbin Hotel to hell and back (heh). My only problem with that was he didn't actually say what the weak parts were, so it felt a bit exaggerated.

Another reason you should watch this show if you haven't:
They have _AMAZING_ voice actors.

**spoilers ahead**
We get to see Sam’s mom, and that’s fun! Hope she gets more development, she seems really cold. Really excited to see her backstory
I've been curious about this, and now that Saber speaks so highly? I'm gonna watch it, too! Thanks, man! Awesome review, as always!
If you only knew.
Man the animation in this is top notch. They should've animated the dr.suess movies like this instead of using cg.
Can pray that WB goes with the animation style they used for the Green Eggs and Ham series for any film adaptations they make, like the Cat in the Hat remake.
“A Stern Talking To” as a company name, I can’t help but smile at.
If they can spend so much money on Green Eggs and Ham, they can surely spend a good chunk of money on animating Berserk or Vagabond.
Those are Japanese anime though and this is a Western property
