Any archive footage of anybody's home town must evoke memories, and I wonder if anybody recognises themselves in this footage, especially the youngsters, now in the 50s, or somebodies grandparents and evokes childhood memories

Would love to use this footage - what is the source/who owns the footage?

I can't honestly remember where these clips came from, Shauna. But if I do remember I'll get back to you.

Derry, simply a City besieged by the British armed invaders

And the sound effects are so silly. Howling wind against a little girl playing? Absurd. Creggan in the 1960s was brilliant.

Don’t make out that Derry was an awful dump before the troubles. It wasn’t. I know because I was born in the Creggan in 1961. What a wonderful community. I can still remember - literally - the names of every member of every family in our street. Of course there was dreadful discrimination against Catholics in our community, but it was IRA fascists who wrecked Derry.

Brit soldier walking alone saluting two other brits in Waterloo place, this had definitely got to before Bloody Sunday happened , as it was all change after that

Jock, it's a mixture of clips that seem to be around about Christmas 1971 and on into 1972. I just titled it circa 1972 for brevities sake.
