    In this video, Coach Dan will run you through 3 exercises that will help you get a harder shot on the ice.
    If you want to shoot harder you need to train away from the rink (and that doesn't mean just shooting pucks). Work these 3 exercises into your off-season program and goalies are going to start fearing your shot!

    Hello, Dan! thank's a lot for this video. Could you say, please, how often it's nesessairy to do it? 1 time per week etc...?

      Like I said in the video, this depends A LOT on where you are at in your current periodization and what type of training methodology you're using within that phase. Generally speaking, you would want a variation of each movement to be present 2x per week. Is there a workout video I can do to improve shot power without needing equipment?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shot power is tough to train without at least some basic equipment. Getting a door mountable pull up bar as well as an 8lb medicine ball is VERY cheap and yet will take you a long ways towards improving your shot power 👍

    Hey choach Garner do pushups increase shot power?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Push ups do not have a big role in shot power. They are better moreso for upper body stability and staying strong on the puck. Stick to more pulling and rotational movements for shot power 💪

    How much should the medicine ball weight?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      6-8lbs is almost perfect for all hockey players 👍

      There are many examples of genetic anomalies we could discuss in all sports. We don't make rules based on the exceptions, especially when it comes to our viewers who are looking for every competitive advantage they can get to become a better hockey player.

      Really good point, Carson. Generating stick blade speed is pretty key.
