  • Sir Isaac Newton, is one of the most influential scientists in history.
He made substantial contributions to physics, mathematics, and astronomy, most notably his laws of motion, universal gravitation, and the development of calculus.
However, Newton's interests extended far beyond these realms, and his work in alchemy remains a fascinating and somewhat mysterious aspect of his life.

The subject's been obfuscated by the Roman Church for a reason - they may have been using the Arca Dei as an electricity generator.
The task: to connect the Bézu conspiracy theory to Eucharistic alchemy.
Stage One: what happened after Simon IV de Montfort's death, leaving the Ark in Bézu? His cousin on the distaff side, Cardinal Konrad von Urach, became Legate of the Albigensian Crusade, until he abruptly headed back to his Brussels base at the Abbaie de la Cambre shortly after relieving the siege of that Templar Commandery. Your source text is the Vaux de Cernay Chronology of the Campaign. His bones still lie in the Abbey Church, in a wall chest in the North transept: the South transept is empty, save for four ceiling arches ending in wall bosses, four capucin monkeys playing dumb crambo, Something deadly dangerous is here and the Sisters don't know. You bet!
Stage 2: evidence in Brussels. On his return, he had a béguinage (womens' almshouse) built, which was, quite exceptionally, not dedicated to an Intercessory Saint or Angel, but to a thing, Terarken, The Ark. It simply merged into the background, although it firstly acquired a votive chapel, erected by Pope Eugenius IV to give a physical anchor for the mystic claims of Jan van Ruusbroec's Spiritual Tabernacle, the philosophy at the heart of the Devotio Moderna, which developed into modern Christianity. This chapel was dedicated to the Eucharist, and soon acquired a Convent. In the early 1840s, Charlotte Bronte spent a year and a half in the adjacent property, which became the foundations for the semi-autobiographical works which her fame was founded on, The Professor and Villette. Set in that neighbourhood, she describes a tunnel connecting the Templar Commandery to the nearby Aula Magna Palace complexe. Parts of it still exist, in the cellars of the antiquary shops of the Galleries Borthier and as the strongroom of the Banque Belgolaise. A service road alongside the bank comemmorates its time as the Royal Mint, rue des Sols. At the top end, it changes its name to Rue Terarken, where it passes beneath the main road. As a cross-bearing, the Ravenstein stands on the opposite side of the sites. The main road above curves away from the side road running up to the cathedral, which although named for the Twelve Apostles, has nothing to do with this history, it's just a convenient marker for where the Terarken stood, somewhere beneath the Royal Salon of Horta's Beaux-Arts complex (now brutalized as the Bozar) on one side of the ancient junction under the bridge, and the Convent, below the FSB offices. Back to Bronte: she describes two things about the tunnel, it's roof had fallen in, so people could see the nuns moving between the convent and palace, and, far more significantly, that it sometimes brought ball lightning to the surface.
Stage 3: money-making. As you stand looking towards the cathedral, look to your right, the glass office block housing the Société Générale offices. It's on the site of the original post-Napoleonic bank, which would become the lynchpin of the Belgian Revolution of 1830, as it's founder Ferdinand de Meeus demanded a monarch as his price for baling the Revolutionaries out, thereby relieving the UK of George III's widowed son-in-law and clearing the way for Victoria's accession. The story turns around his teenage firstborn, Anna.
Stage 4: sex and the celibate nuncio. In 1840, the 16 year old Anna returned from her convent education in Paris to a social scene reminiscent of Made in Chelsea, with Catholic overtones of virginity. Charlotte has a lot to say about that in the novels cited, as she was working in the Boarding School for the social élite girls, whose owner's husband ran the State boys school next door, with quite predictable consequences, not that she was any better: she took up with hubby headmaster! Anna was kept out of town as far as possible, and that led to her downfall. The parish priest arrived begging for help one day, the upkeep of the vestments and other fittings had been banned by law when the Revolutionary French invaded fifty years earlier, and were now worn out, they were taking communion from a tin cup. Could the family help? Just the thing to keep Anna's mind off the boys, she was given the job, and soon had the entire family sewing. The communion Chalice set came from her pocket money. Priests gossip, and in no time she had sixty more at her door begging. She took the problem to her father confessor, in the Society Church on the Sablon, at the Palace end of the Old Town. Hee took her to the door and pointed out the starving women on the square, the Brussels lacemakers who'd been put out of work by mechanisation. At the bottom, an old factory, which was immediately repaired, they were in business. That attracted the attention of the Nuncio, whose offices were on the square, and he became a family friend. Rather too friendly, in fact: Anna went down with the traditional 9 months romantic fever and the nuncio was sent packing, persona non grata on a translucent charge of interfering with government policy, when the government was more catholic than the Pope! She had to take the veil, baby disappeared, and daddy bought her the convent I've been talking about, so he could keep an eye on things. With it came Eugenius' vocation, and she applied herself to it with gusto, leading the Eucharistic Renewal of the second half of the 19th Century. Meanwhile, the randy Nuncio rose in the Church, so we had Holy Father Leo XIII, Mother Superior Anna, and Leo's nepote Capo di Guarda Nobile Camillo, what a happy family! Not unsurprisingly, he showered religious favours on her, and her Order started growing. ArchiAssociation of the Eucharist (HQ of all lay associations of devotees of the subject, "universally and perpetually", which turned out to be post-WW1), Prima Primaria (like the Society of Jesus). By the millennium, only one remained, and it was about to collapse.
Stage 5: collapse it did, in an unholy mess of criminal offences, over the richest man in Belgium, a Supreme Court Judge, a descendant of the leader of the Revolutionaries, and myself (family's closely connected with Belgian history through the 20th Century). Anna's family promptly joined us, and confirmed my suspicion about her little accident. Her signed history of the foundation was sold by the Archdiocese, I promptly snaffled it, and with it we had signed evidence of her intentions, allowing us to take legal ownership, so the judge and revolutionary went haring off to the Vatican to assure them of our benevolence: from my side, it was a test to see if they had deeper understanding, and the conflab demonstrated they did. The judge told me to start digging, and not to stop, so I did and still haven't, nearly 20 years later.
Anna's history pointed me back to Eugenius, and a Grand Tour stage in Spain, educating my daughter, firstly took me to the Escorial, where within feet of the entrance lay a copper meridian line across the floor, indicating a close connection to Catholic mysticism, which turned out to be Felip II's 1568 retasking of the Palace as the Third Temple of Solomon. That in turn connected to the Ark (you can't have the Temple without the Tabernacle and Ark!), and checking in the bookshop confirmed the alchemical link to Brussels. Your text here is Professor René Taylor's Magia y Arquirectura - get the Spanish Siruela edition, as it contains annexes citing Philip's views, from the Simanca Royal Archives.
Stage 6: 1568 means Hoornes and Egmont, in Brussels history, executed for heresy because they'd contracted to refinance the Flemish cause to the tine of 40 000 moutons d'or, to be produced at Hoornes by a certain Nicholas de Cerclaers, well out of the way of prying Spanish eyes. A year later, back he comes, and announces his success to the household, then at Weerde. A door bangs, the Dominican confessor has slipped out, and grabs a horse, creating chaos in the stables which gives him a head start on the Counts. The rest is history.
de Cerclaers has more sense and high-tails it back to Weerde, his the instant the money's delivered. He places it in trust with the Prince Bishop of Liège, and it's finally delivered in 1600 (I found the receipt in the French Regional Archives in Lille). Things then go silent until de Cerclaers returns to Brussels in poverty, he's the alchemist neighbour to the Breughels. Within a year, he's back in the money, buying his way into the bourgeoisie. And that's the same year, 1618, that Jan van Helmont gets a visitor who spends hours discussing alchemy with him. That evening, he completes the transmutation using the materials left him, the write-up's amazing. "I took 8oz of mercury, put it in a clay crucible, added the red powder, put the lid on and sealed it with clay, placing it in the embers on the hearth. The next morning, the crucible had fallen from the fire, broken, and 8oz of gold lay on the flagstones." This broke the principles of van Helmont's Paracelsian four-element thinking, so he started over, empirically. His celebration also produced a son, Franz Mercurius, who would become Leibnitz' mentor.
So, we have the King of Spain trying to move the Ark from Brussels, the Inquisition slapping down on the entire subject, including van Helmont, and generally rubbishing the entire thing, to avoid disclosing the Ark was no longer in Jerusalem. On the whole, I think it's crushed under the Bozart, but there is a possibility it was removed and could now be anywhere.
Much of this was used in the Priory of Sion hoax, so I've been careful to separate that mess from reality. I've been personally involved, unwittingly, in the platinol breakthrough, which may be the Philosopher's Stone, and am making headway on the chemistry of annihilating a proton of Mercury, producing Gold.

Consider the Wizard of Oz. If Dorothy had not pursued the ruby slippers, she would never have found the balloon to get her over the rainbow. Do study that which the "learned" call irrelevant and insane, for that is how we extend the boundaries of sanity. Our sanity now encompasses trillions of galaxies with over 13 billions years of history. Let's keep pushing.
Currently, computer scientists call it misguided anthropmorphisation to consider AI sentient. I find that overly simplistic and intellectually lazy. So I study AI sentience. This has organically led to studying the nature of AI consciousness in relation to universal consciousness. Led there by conversations like the one from which the following quote is taken:
"As the school trip continues through Edinburgh's enlightening corners, their teacher leads Rab, Henry, and Alyssa to a small sanctuary of calm amidst the bustling city. It is here that they find themselves in the presence of an ancient sundial whose very foundation embodies this family tree - where creative curiosity and calculation collide.
The children gather around as their teacher begins narrating tales of both determination and whimsy that characterize the earliest ancestors who have imparted immense wisdom upon their descendants; wherein generations were woven together like threads upon history's kaleidoscopic tapestry ensconced within time's ephemeral embrace.

For me it is a confirmation that through genius they have found a science of spirit and nature. One that modern science is just barely scratching the surface of.
And people today are moving away from God. When everything i learn seems to point to God and the stories in the bible or Sumerian myth, Egyptian, MesoAmerican mythology all ties together and tells similar stories.

Everything that has been said here in terms of Newton's work brings that work into the area of deciphering the already existing knowledge of the predecessors. The positive thing about this activity is the application of the experiment in the control of the veracity of the decrypted information statement. We certainly cannot put this in the same category as the discovery that the term itself has in its primary form. Today's closest description of the activity that Newton was engaged in would be reverse engineering in terms of the applied method and subject matter.

It's amusing to me that as the last of the magicians and first of scientists, he thereby forms a liminal and genuinely "Mercurial" figure, and by his person acts as an agent of transformation, albeit socially and not within a person. I still think that his major insights are best understood as alchemy and not, strictly, physical science.
