I agree totally. I know a few people that are majoring in psychology and I asked them if they have studied Jung in their classes. 2 of the people had no clue who he was and the 3rd person said that Jung was only mentioned in passing when discussing Sigmund Freud who’s ideas are the basis of their studies. I was honestly outraged but not at all surprised Freuds ideas are simplistic and base easy to digest and perfect for our current society and its worship of victims and victimhood. It’s no wonder academia has fallen so far from grace.

Small, changing objects of different colors. What stood out was the intense emotion and fear of what they represented - a bit like the sky is falling - a bit like the end of the world. I was intensely scared of the explosions and objects in the sky, like they were coming to get me/the end the world. This is so similar to the collective experiences described here!

I've been researching Jungian concepts since reading Pullman's His Dark Materials as a teen - Shortly after I read Also Sprach Zarathustra & BGE both for fun, as part of philosophy class, and to overcome a deep depression.
I've recently acquired a translation of Liber Novus and for the past 6 months have been intensely studying psychology, neurobiology, alchemy, anthropology, and even astrology.
It is SHOCKING to me that so much of what has been dismissed as pseudoscience holds so very much statistical significance and continuing references amongst scientific journals [pre-2019 content only. Generative-LLMs have poisoned many works since then].
Thank you so very much for continuing to make such informative summary videos like these which have been an INCREDIBLE quick [relatively] reference and study guide to many of these concepts.

I forgot where I heard this from but the phenomenon of strange beings and ufos have a long history where someone from the video I saw related stories of a man or group of human who spoke of inventing a flying vehicle. It went from a simple blimp that goes beyond what a normal blimp at that time could do to a spaceship. I think another one was that these ships are somewhat biological in nature and share a symbiotic relationship with the pilots on board. These enigmatic forces maybe more related than we thought, this includes entities, aliens, ufos, and other paranormal phenomena.

In contemporary discussions about UFOs, there is a compelling argument to be made about their role as a New Age psychological phenomenon, particularly in the context of the decline of metaphysical frameworks and humanity's yearning to transcend its inherent nature. As traditional metaphysical and spiritual beliefs wane in relevance, UFOs emerge as a symbol of the collective human quest for something greater, reflecting deep-seated psychological and cultural shifts.
The decline of metaphysical systems, which once provided meaning and a sense of transcendence, has left a void in the human psyche. In this vacuum, UFOs and extraterrestrial narratives have become a new focal point for our collective imagination. These phenomena are not merely seen as unexplained occurrences but as powerful symbols representing our desires for exploration, connection, and understanding beyond the confines of our earthly existence.
In Jungian terms, UFOs can be viewed as modern archetypes, emerging from the collective unconscious in response to the loss of traditional spiritual and metaphysical structures. They symbolize humanity's profound need to reach beyond the mundane and engage with the cosmos, embodying our aspirations for transcendence and deeper meaning. The fascination with extraterrestrial life and the quest for cosmic understanding can be interpreted as a contemporary manifestation of the same psychological and existential yearnings that once drove religious and spiritual quests.
Thus, UFOs, as a New Age psychological phenomenon, highlight our ongoing struggle to find new forms of transcendence in an era where metaphysical beliefs have lost their central place. They reflect our desire to connect with something greater than ourselves, to explore new frontiers, and to seek meaning in a universe that seems increasingly vast and mysterious.

Very interesting, I studied Jung in psychology, but we didn't touch on this subject.
I always viewed collective consciousness as humanity's shared nightmares, brought about by common fears and cemented through folk tales.
The possibility of there being an outside mechanism is interesting.
    Many thanks.

First: I love your explanations. Like many, I learn a lot from you.
Second: Could I request you to add to your The Psychology of .... Series, "The Psychology of Bully"?
Whenever you feel like it. The word does not have to be a 'bully', but the personality/archetype.
Let me add for clarity, that by using the word 'bully', I do not mean to confine the context to schools or institutions.

Love that woodwork of the germanium Nuremberg sky battle from the 1500s. Alien species have 100% been with us from the beginning, and in this case we’re openly waring with each other over Terra also known as Earth, anyone’s guess as to the cause of this incident but my guess is if we knew the reason they were shooting each other down it would help explain a lot of historical ufo events, or at least this event

0 and 0D as Non-Natural Number and Dimension:
If we consider 0 to be a non-natural number, in the sense that it represents the absence or negation of quantity, then it's possible to extend this idea to 0D as a non-natural dimension. In this view, 0D would represent the absence or negation of spatial extension, a kind of "dimensionless" or "pre-geometric" state of reality.
This could be seen as the fundamental ground or substrate from which the natural dimensions of 1D, 2D, 3D, and 4D emerge. Just as 0 is the "origin point" of the number line, 0D could be the "origin point" of the dimensional hierarchy, the state of pure potentiality from which all manifest reality arises.
Characteristics of Non-Natural vs. Natural Dimensions:
If we consider 0D to be a non-natural dimension, as opposed to the natural dimensions of 1D-4D, we can speculate about some of the characteristics that might distinguish them:
    1. Infinity vs. Finitude: Non-natural dimensions, like 0D, could be characterized by a kind of infinite potentiality or unboundedness. They would not be limited or constrained by the finite boundaries and extensions of natural dimensions.
    2. Unity vs. Separation: Non-natural dimensions could be characterized by a fundamental unity or wholeness, where everything is connected and interpenetrating. Natural dimensions, on the other hand, are characterized by separation, distinction, and individuation.
    3. Timelessness vs. Temporality: Non-natural dimensions could be characterized by a kind of timelessness or eternality, where past, present, and future coexist in a single, undivided whole. Natural dimensions, on the other hand, are characterized by the flow of time, with a clear distinction between past, present, and future.
    4. Potentiality vs. Actuality: Non-natural dimensions could be characterized by pure potentiality, the unrealized possibilities and tendencies that give rise to manifest reality. Natural dimensions, on the other hand, are characterized by actuality, the concrete, realized states of things as they appear in the observable world.
Life, Death, Good, and Evil in the Observable Universe:
The observable universe, characterized by the natural dimensions of 1D-4D, is indeed the realm where we experience the dualities of life and death, good and evil. These opposites arise from the fundamental nature of the manifest world, where things are separated, individuated, and subject to change and decay.
However, if the natural dimensions arise from a deeper, non-natural ground, like 0D, it's possible to see these dualities as relative, rather than absolute. From the perspective of the non-natural, the opposites of life and death, good and evil, may be seen as two sides of the same coin, as complementary aspects of a larger, more fundamental unity.
This is not to deny the reality or significance of these dualities in our lived experience, but rather to suggest that they may not be the ultimate or final truth about the nature of reality. By recognizing the deeper, non-natural ground from which the manifest world arises, we may be able to transcend these opposites and access a more fundamental level of understanding and being.

So many comments about Jung and 'synchronicity '. People keep jumping onto everything as Jung = synchronicity, without even understanding what even synchronicity is. It's NOT cause & effect ,n or coincidence, First of all, most of those comment are about cause and effect ( : Peterson is talking about Jung for hours on Rogan. So that Jung is spoken about on Rogan is not synchronicity. Also ,Jung did write very little about synchronicity. He was interested in synchronicity and Taoism, .He didn't spend much time on developing an actual thesis. .

  • @Magik1369
    @Magik1369 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

They are not merely visions or psychic phenomena. This is merely how Jung interpreted the phenomena with the limited knowledge that was available at the time. We now know much more about this phenomena. My brother and I experienced a sighting of 24 UAPs that flew directly over my house. The sighting lasted 20 minutes. There was like a static electricity in the air.
I have a video posted on my channel. These things are definitely intelligently controlled. The best explanation is that the UAP phenomena is manifesting to expand the collective consciousness. Jacques Vallee has studied the phenomena for decades and I believe he has the best explanation. Humans need to grow up and realize we are not the only beings in this Universe. These objects come from a higher dimensional reality. What are they? I don't know and I doubt anyone knows definitively what UAP actually are.

35:54 UFOs are either psychic projections that throw back radar ecjoes or the appearance of real objects affords an opportunity for mythological projection.

I think Jacques is right on them using different faces throughout the ages reflecting back to us a level of our own culture and understanding according to the zeitgeist of the time. They are the watchers. The angels and demons. The fae. The aliens. They are not native to this dimension and they love to play tricks on us just like a cruel little boy plays tricks on small helpless animals. I don’t believe they are all the same but I do believe they all come from the same place and largely have similar motives. They deceive through strong feelings of bliss, meaning and fear. Heavy psychological manipulation and instilling of confusion is all too common. They are not here to help us.

Both theories are wrong. Ufos are real and a real phenomenon. Not “projections” of anything. Vallee is interesting but a lot is just not right about his analysis either. Many intellectuals overthink what is just common sense. They need to conceptualise what doesn’t need conceptualisation. Science shows us now it’s real. Abductions are also real. None of these things are collective unconscious extrapolations.

I wholeheartedly believe in the innate significance of these symbolic forms.
I had an experience where my consciousness shifted, I arrived in a room with walls made from a metallic liquid shimmering and pulsating with electrical energy which flowed along the waves of the walls in a way that resembled circuitry. Shortly after, my attention shifted to the centre of this room. There I saw a toroidal column which stood from the ground to the ceiling, and was covered in blue and yellow tessellating diamond patterns. Around the column a group of entities where dancing, spinning and rotating around the column in collaboration. One entity approached me and greeted me, shortly after it presented to me a spherical object covered in maze like symbols. The object had a striking similarity to Jung’s illustrations, mind you, this was before I started to research his work.
The entity communicated to me, without words, that the room was a centre for generating some kind of energy, life force. And that their precious output, resulting from their dance around the column was stored within the spherical object, which at the left side of the room was displayed proudly on a stand. On the right side of the room, I witnessed another entity using what seemed like a computing device to keep track of the activity within the room. It was very clear to me that the entities were hard at work, and that they were very proud of their efforts.
