If Alonzo and McNeil would start producing, the Mets would be DANGEROUS!
Mauricio will be huge upgrade over Mcneil next year and Alonso is not worth the money and years he's asking.They will both be gone next year. Alonzo has regressed terribly. He is a right version of Jay Bruce at this point.
@@robertday1598 Both might be gone by the trade deadline. And I agree that Pete isn't worth the money but they'll still have to replace the offense that he does provide.

I've been to a lot of mets games. I was at Santana's no hitter. I think this game was a top 5 game i've ever been at. LFGM!!!!!!!!
I love how Keith always has constant praise for the Mets young players (Vientos Alvarez and even Baty) if Keith wasn’t in the booth full time I could absolutely see him being a hitting coach for the Mets. LGM!
Totally agree. I was thinking the same thing when he says things like “Way to go young man…don’t give away at bats” I love our booth 😊 #LFGM
I know it’s early, but there are just a handful of players who turn a team into a contender simply because they’re in the lineup over the last 100 years, F Alvarez is one of those players. This keeps up, you hand him a blank check like the KNICKS did to OG Annunoby. 😊
@@michaelsherron5750 he’s insane. Even last season although he didn’t play the whole season. The amount of clutch hits and go ahead hits, the command he’s showing behind the plate, the fractured thumb and full recovery in such a short amount of time is just amazing. I know they’re afforded the best medical care you can get, but still worthy of noting.
Lindor is just abnormal. How can someone hit doubles all day
It's amazing what some of these guys are capable of when they stop trying to hit homeruns.
It makes no sense......he was basically non existent for the first two months..... nice to see him find his swing. They're a much different team when he is hitting the baseball well.
It's baseball. A guy gets the yips in his head and he needs to clear them out.
@@johncummings5350 He surprisingly called the players-only meeting which has been the spark for this team including himself. Also Mendoza switching him to the leadoff spot has worked wonders. What a turnaround!!
@@anthonyriche552 I recently told a friend of mine that Lindor cost this team wins for about 2 months due to his offensive deficiencies.......but that people with short memories will forget all about it because he will have his usual numbers by the end of the season. It's just too bad it takes him so long to find his stride. He can be so vital to this team when he's performing...... and really drag this team when he isn't hitting.

.500, yes, put it in the books. Alright, now this team's confidence is in high gear. There is nothing sweeter than beating the cross town rivals. I don't have cable and was forced to watch the game on Prime, and I can't stand the Yankees announcers. Bad enough, the rain delay came, and I had to go to work and watch the rest on my way in and at work. Hopefully, we can beat them in Yankee stadium and take the series, and win both of those games. The hitting is starting to arrive albeit bases loaded we couldn't score. The fact we stopped them in the 1st inning back to back games is amazing. Let's go, Mets!

@@Bredaxe I agree. He'd be a VERY expensive DH at this point because our RF would just eat him up. I like Bader not just on the field but the attitude he brings to the clubhouse.

I'll give you one stat that says the Mets are playing on an unsustainable level. Lindor has a 901 OPS for the month of June. AND he's 9th on the team.
That being said, the Mets have turned this season around and should be able to carry this momentum forward and actually play above 500 in the second half. Not a small accomplishment considering where they were in May.

Could you imagine if Pete could catch Fire!! He is definitely OFF. He is chasing sliders way too much. Mc Neil is becoming expendable (despite that he plays a good second base and offers other utilities in the field). If we can get Senga back right after the All Star Break, we could be a real Contender and make for lots of fun during the summer.

I said at the start of the year the Mets probably have one of the better lineups in baseball. Still worried about the pitching though, I think in the end that will be what will keep them from being a top contender this year… obviously I’m loving this recent streak though and am enjoying it while I can.

Alonso is majorly distracted by all the trade speculation talks. We could get a haul for him somewhere, he's just so inconsistent, reminds me of Lucas Duda, but a slightly better version. McNeil needs to be benched asap. Let Inglesias have the AB's. Trade Marte and retain JD Martinez.
