So sad to hear. Eggs carry the DNA of the person who would be the mother and because this treats people like commodities or merchandise it will rob that unique individual from knowing their genetic history and their very personal lineage. They will want to know these things as they get older. This is so insensitive to the person who will come from these displaced eggs. How sad.

IVF husband here. The trigger shot can be really tough leading to nausea and dizziness for 1-2 hours after injecting. A comforting thing to do is to start a movie and drink 1-2 bottles of a full sugar Gatorade or better Pedialyte as opposed to trying to sleep. Was a game changer for me and my wife.

This is such a well thought out video. I Really appreciate the time that you have put into all of this to explain to people who are interested in this type of thing. Personally it would not have been for me in my younger years and I am in my 50s now. But I think it’s a beautiful thing that you are doing for other people. In general, I have always wondered if some of the potential mothers who choose you have wanted to know how to contact you with the hope of one day being able to meet you and have you meet their child? And if you would ever agree to that? I wonder if that is even a “thing” with egg donations?
Whoever gets your eggs are very lucky 🍀! All the best to you!

Are interested in van living and 2. Donating their eggs! I’m the person where if I get an idea... Hey girl! This is great! I donated my eggs to, 3 years ago. Really nice gesture! Not easy on the body at all! I knew the couple I was giving my eggs to. They got 6 eggs, 2 were fertilized / 4 didn't. The first one was lost 5 weeks in and the second one didn't stay at all. Unfortunatly, no baby was born from my donation . Now that I've been through the poncture once, I don't think I would do it again. I found it tough after the treatment! Also, here in Canada we do not get payed at all and it's actually illegal to be payed for donating eggs.

I also was awake for the retrieval, it was quite painful (cramping) and I felt like I was drunk after. I had a little more to do as I was also going through an insemination as well. I am glad they are making things a bit easier. Oh and I have a almost 15 and an 8 year old...it worked!!

But I don't know if you are ever informed if the baby is born it not. Was taught to wipe the vial tops with alcohol swab before sticking needles into the vial to mix your meds up. Only need to do it once and it's good to go. Just one GOOD SWIPE, or can contaminate going back over it. They should be sterile because there are caps on them. However just something I was taught in a medical course years ago. BUT I will say it as well do what your physician tells you and does you to do.

How many eggs do they usually take? Does the agency follow up with you and tell you if it was a successful implant and pregnancy? If it wasn’t successful could they potentially ask you to donate to the same family again? In the first video you mentioned the family gets to see your profile and pick you, do you know anything about the family? I always assumed the eggs were released from your ovaries and taken from your Fallopian tubes or uterus but from the diagram it looks like the needle takes them straight out of your ovaries, which is interesting to know! Great video I was always curious about egg donation!

@@emilydean4309 no worries! I don’t really have any lows to be perfectly honest! I guess the only thing I can think of was the actual procedure recovery was a bit harder than I expected and a bit more painful than I had anticipated. They told me that it was similar to period cramps and I should be okay to go back to resuming activities within a couple of days but it was more sharp and took me a a few days to feel better and walk around. And I have a high pain tolerance! But I really like the agency I worked with they made sure I was comfortable and put me in a nice hotel room where I can rest . I also wasn’t expecting to feel so bloated the days leading up to the egg retrieval. I felt like I was 6 months pregnant, especially after taking the trigger shot. I couldn’t move around the way I was used to and my clothes weren’t fitting lol but that was very temporary. Personally, over all, it was such an easy experience. But I understand it’s different for everyone one :-)

Once I started down the rabbit hole of tampons, how their made, what their made with, and possible adverse reactions to years of tampon use I turned to period underwear and have never looked back. I use Thinx because their the best I've come across yet; if anyone has other period underwear brand suggestions I'm more than willing to try them but I will never put anything up inside me that's not supposed to be there in the first place i.e. reproductive reasons. My daughter will only be allowed to use external means to manage her cycle until she of mature enough mind to understand all the facts about her own body and decide for herself what she chooses to use. I hope she will never use a tampon in her life but her body is her own and I will openly encourage her to learn for herself her own preferences.
Watching you make your own path and take power of your own body Hanna makes me SOOOOOOO proud of you. You are such a ray of light in this darkening world. I greatly respect your willingness to fully welcome us into your private life in with the goal/intention to inform any and everyone of the full process. I only wish I'd actually looked into it myself when I was young enough, I just assumed they'd never pick me because I'm mediocre possibly even slightly below average with a couple cases of cancer in my family history, I never should have assumed they'd simply write me off with one glance.
I deeply hope I'm not over stepping any personal privacy line here (if so please forgive me) but I hope one day you become a mother if thats something you'd want because any child would be endlessly blessed to have you for a mother. You are such a humble, brave, and passionate individual and this world needs more of you out there. go invade the world with little mini Hannaleeduggan's.

Bee Bee if you recap a needle, you have a chance or poking yourself even if you are wearing gloves! This is important especially for nurses or those in healthcare so they don’t contract any diseases. Even though she is doing her own shots, it would hurt to accidentally poke yourself on the fingers or hand.

For my egg retrieval I was put just under a little, made me sleepy, not a complete anesthesia. Interesting how the US operates different from the Netherlands/Belgium.
I had a couple of unsuccessful IVF/Icsi tries, so I’m very appreciative of women going through this, to help others.
Over here and in many other countries, if’s illegally to get paid more than just the expenses. Which I sort of get, but it at the same time means getting a donated egg is much smaller (and more expensive). 3 tries per successful pregnancy is covered by the most basic insurance here in the Netherlands. But when it became obvious that my eggies were quite frankly depleted, the gyno suggested a Spanish egg donation, success rate 60% and it’d cost € 10.000 in 2016. Which we decided not to do, because with our luck, it was a stupid high chance of just losing that money literally down the drain.

Totally off topic here, but it had been bugging me since I first saw you on YT who you reminded me of. As a film noir buff living in W. Hollywood, it hit me this morning when I saw her on an old classic tv network. You are the 21st Century version of Audrey Totter, considered one of the best film noir actresses of all time. Her classic beauty and subtle Midwest toughness remind me so much of you. There is a striking resemblance. BTW, I met her 20 years ago when she was about 80, and she still was strikingly beautiful just like you will be.
