That is a reasonable question: The doctor in the video explained that rather than focusing on the woman egg donors health they focus on compensating her well. In other words by selling your eggs and reducing your own fertility you will get money. Conclussion: if you do not want children at any point in your life there is potential money to earn if you're in serious financial problems. If you do want children undergoing these procedures is taking a risk you may very well regret.
@@misakichan8181 Not an expert but read a scientific study that concluded that the current procedure will increase a lot of serious risks for your health. But again why would anyone donate their eggs for a few thousand dollars. Do you sell your labour for less than 10% of the value of your labour?
Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome (OHSS) Ovarian torsion (requiring surgery) Kidney disease Ovarian cysts Loss of fertility Stroke Premature menopause Cancer These are some possible effects! Some are immediate during the egg retrieval and some are the long term effects. Unfortunately they all downplay these consequences because of the money !
I just had a fever and mood swings after the donation. It should hurt awful. I was anesthetized but when I woke up, I just felt my whole body wanted to jump out of the chair.
If egg donations are bad for you, then IVF itself is as well. They are basically the same procedure but the egg donation doednt go through the embryo transfer process.
@holyempressw8531sometimes it's not easy with our own eggs for some reason... Her prayers for her donor say how genuine this recipient is... Please pray for me too to get success in my donor egg journey..
Pretty strange comments on here. Each case is particular as well as a body. For somebody, it is a simple process, and for someone, it is very hard with many life-tests. It's not right to judge other people, not knowing all the details of the matter.
I'm not a blonde but I'm 5'7" and scored 1600 on the SAT 😊 my mom is a model and my dad has an IQ of 140. I had genetic testing done and I'm not a carrier to any diseases. And 2 of my great grandparents lived to 100. I have to loose weight before I can donate though.
I think it’s something to do with the hormone protocol. Unnatural hormones/hormone levels are tightly linked with many cancers and a variety of other problems. Hormones need to be stable and nearly perfect/natural throughout life for nothing to go awry in your body. I’m not positive but I think the egg donation process includes manipulating your hormones synthetically and dramatically
Dr. Levy referred to IVF women when asked about the risks to egg donors. Are the processes quite similar? Or the hormone protocols identical? I know woman who, after IVF her health was never the same and she deeply regretted it. One reason is after IVF, she started having horrible migraines. They never went away, even years and years after the IVF attempts. She feels like she paid so much, just to ruin her health and vitality
WARNING: DEATH BY CANCER. There are SEVERE AND FATAL RISKS when donating your eggs! Anyone considering this MUST look further into it. LOOK UP THE STORY OF Jessica Wing, and there are countless other stories that ended in death exactly like Jessica's did at only 39 years old. These stories are sooo sad, & it's a result of the lack of research that has been done of the long term effects on women's health after donating their eggs. PLEASE for the sake of your own life, reconsider this option & warn your loved ones!
They are adults that know what they are doing so she can only live with her regret instead of trying to blame someone else for her decisions of donating eggs THREE TIMES! WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING LADY?
I agree with you. Why does anyone feel they are owed anything in life? Let alone a child from scratch. I mean, kids existing already are homeless/family-less and their hearts would break with happiness just to be adopted
“bc they’re broke” damn u didn’t have to call me out like that 😭😭

Exactly!

But what’s the difference between egg donation vs doing IVF with your own eggs as well?
None, it is the same process for IVF and for Egg freezing

No registry? Hah. Great medical research, not. Why cap the money they make? That sounds like bs
Ok but why does she wish she never did it. This seems sensationalized.
Well there is not difference with egg freezing and IVF!!!

Egg and sperm donation should be illegal. That would be the best. It is unethical and bad anyways. Also confusing for the child.
