Best Lawn Advice I've Ever Gotten! I applied the Empero Sedgehammer exactly as the video described, including the surfactant and dye. What a great success! For the ultimate feeling of satisfaction, I go the extra mile, or inches anyway. I use a cheap water jet nozzle, like 1/4 inch. It doesn't have to be a powerful jet, just enough to blast the dirt away. I grab the stem with one hand and shoot the water jet down with the other along the stem and down to the nut and root ball. They vary in depth, some a 1 to 2 inches deep, but others are 4 to 5. It's easy to follow the stem down with your fingers and pluck them out with the nut and roots. Most of the dirt will just settle back into the hole, it may need a little help. But usually there are 4 or 5 plants in a group so just get all of them then just spray the dirt back but it mostly levels itself. It's a little messy but very satisfying knowing you got that sucker nut and all. You don't need a powerful stream, it's just slower but neater.
I find that if you just have a few it’s better to just pull them up versus spraying chemicals. When it gets hot out and dry most all of the chemicals I’ve tried burned the grass and might even kill it. Nutsedge is tiger nuts. Pick them and sell them or eat them.
Good luck. Nuts aren't easy to find and get out in my experience.
@ akbananachucker Because alot of folks love having and maintaining a prestine lawn, your obviously not one of them do why are you watching karen? Dont you have better things to do? Oh and im pretty sure his property is miles away from the farm that grows your food lol Thanks for your input Karen 👌
Damn easy dude, just another opinion.
I’ve had ppl stop and ask what I do to keep the grass so nice and lush? I mow every 7 - 10 days, never fertilize, and never use weed killer because all I have is what Mother Nature provides like nutsedge. I love that I’m not putting forever chemicals on my soil that leaches down to our well and ground water. Plus I save a ton of money.
Why are you here? 🤷🏾♂️
@@BigTex00 I’m here to tell ppl you don’t have to pollute the ground and water you and your neighbors drink to get a nice green patch of grass. It’s called environmental EDUCATION.. something you obviously lack and never taught growing up.
@@adriankap2978 I’m pretty sure the folks who came to this channel for advice to get rid of the sedge in their yards could care less. You want to EDUCATE folks on your way of weed management create your own channel.
@@BigTex00he's like a vegan. He just wants to make sure everybody knows how virtuous he is
Depending on where you live. In my zone with a hot summer of triple digits temperature, grass is struggling while weeds are growing lush. Just mow the lawn for now. Reseed in the winter after weeds are gone.
