I used to sing this on my Walkman at 10 years old. I loved Robbie Williams. And watching boys on bikes. And mosher jeans with chains. And making up our own neighborhood watch to catch teenagers with cigarettes.
This is one of his most under rated songs. There are some people here saying this was their sad, break up song or it helped them at a certain time in life. Also remember that around this time, Robbie was fighting big demons himself, especially ones of self worth.
It also has Neil Hannon on it, from group The Divine Comedy. You can hear him say "goodbye!" in the background and then "no regrets, they don't work..." etc.
I could relate to this when he released it, I still can. I was so angry. I even wrote the lyrics in a notebook so I could feel better somehow and cope.
