Robbie helped me to express my anger from the past in his words through this song. It's amazing the impact that he has had on my mental health. I love all of his songs. His songs mean a lot to me, and listening to him is really good for my mental health.
This is one of my (if not the) favorite Robbie Williams song, I don't understand why it did not chart better. The backing vocals are also fantastic. When I was a kid, I thought "That background singer has a voice like the frontman of Pet Shop Boys" I just learned this year that it IS actually him.

One of the most powerful songs ever, sounds upbeat… but is one of the saddest LOVE songs ever, yes the obvious love Robbie had for his band mates, @1.14 “No regrets now… they only hurt!” you can see in his face how it had crushed him, thank god they made up…so happy for them all.
This is one of his most under rated songs. There are some people here saying this was their sad, break up song or it helped them at a certain time in life. Also remember that around this time, Robbie was fighting big demons himself, especially ones of self worth.

He wrote this song about his ex band, i have ever read the reason of robbie from one of entertaiment news why got out from take that, this song was revealing of it, it was really hurt him. However, I heard him reunited with all members of take that, but i did not know, i just read the news about him 5 years ago, it was so long. Might be by this, he become the great singer, work so hard with his idealism then it worked.
I watch this video with sadness knowing what trauma he was going through. I wish he had of had better support around him. I am so glad he was able to grow strong and survive that industry.

He worked with a musician called Guy Chambers, who wrote the music, while he wrote the lyrics and melodies. Guy worked with other people and his work was never as good, Robbie likewise. Robbie wrote some catchy nonsense at times, Rock DJ being an example, but how many times did he bare his soul and just capture that feeling we couldn't quite nail? This song is all that and more. He earned those Ivor Novellos.

true, Americans prefer Americans. foreign musicians might be able to get a song or two over here, but that's about it. Very very few stick around. bums me out. I'm am American that lived in Germany in my teens and all of our radio stations and tv channels were from the uk. now I have to seek out the music I want because it's not available here.

However, I heard him reunited with all members of take that, but i did not know, i just read the news about him 5 years ago, it was so long. Might be by this, he become the great singer, work so hard with his idealism then it worked.
