I’m Lucy, nice to meet you.
I’m a creative living in a little house in the Netherlands with my husband.
On this channel I take you along in my creative endeavors; whether that's sewing a dress, renovating a room or trying out historical hairstyles.

I think your own instinct has driven you much more successfully than this recent style analysis. You just naturally know what looks good on you, and you look great!
15:50 I love this outfit. It's second only to the black turtleneck+belt combo imo
Yes to letting the kids stuff take over the living room! It's chaos sometimes, but it's wonderful at the end of the day to see house much enjoyment there has been 😊
The taupe pants are a great choice; they should go with a lot (they look good with the beige, blue marble, pink, and black sweaters and your black print wrap). You could crochet some coordinating sash belts. The good and bad news is that your son will too quickly outgrow the penned in area, so it's presence won't be around too long. Your soft knitted sweater looks amazing wadded in your hands, so it should look fantastic on you too. Hope y'all are over your colds; we've been sick here too. YUK!
I would love to know how you care for all your knit clothing pieces. Undershirts, laundry routine, storage, pilling and all that kind of thing
Some ideas for styling the light taupe pants would be either to combine them with an oversized, chunky and loose sweater in a light colour in order to repeat the vertical line you have naturally whilst compromising your best colours (deep and cool), but keep your hair down with the light and light combo! - Or you could compromise the vertical line by wearing a sweater in a deeper colour (still oversized) which will enhance your beautiful colouring since the sweater is closest to your face. 🥰
With your height and frame I believe you would look gorgeous with wider pants and an oversized sweater, and you could do a french tuck in the front if you want! Flamboyant naturals can definitely get away with oversized in tops and bottoms simultaneously without getting overwhelmed.
If you want to honor your vertical line it's so easy as a deep winter, since you look gorgeous with dark + dark colour-combinations.
Loved today's video and this is just my opinion, best of luck! 😇💖
It's funny, I'm a fairly new mom too and for my alone time to refresh myself I usually throw on one of your videos along with crocheting or something and I feel like I have a best friend along with me 🥰
If you have any light soft-white cotton fabric, you could cut out a "large" square and hem the edges. . . a scarf. Also, get a soft pink top for those pants. It'd make a good layering piece.
I love taupe and black together. It is a very nice basic. You can then accessorize with jewelry or scarves. Taupe is a great neutral and other jewel colors would also look good, such as burgundy (in a more fitted sweater), dark teal, forest green, etc. I do like pink with taupe, also. Many possibilities for these very versatile pants!
Your videos are always so soothing.
Thank you, from an overwhelmed US citizen.
Have you enjoyed watching your husband become a daddy? It's the BEST! HAving the "falling asleep on daddy's chest" pictures. And having our big, strong men show their tender side with baby is so precious.
I love seeing you knitting, I do it a lot and I like that you are picking that up during the few moments you have for yourself
I love the new trousers, I think they look classy and elegant on you…and comfortable, which is the most importantly thing!
Put the turtleneck on with the cape. It will look great!
Love the cabled sweater, but that is a lot of cables ha ha! Highly recommend learning to knit cables without a cable needle, it's so much easier and faster for me!
I agree with your sentiments on the French tuck!
I don't know why but knitting icords annoys the heck out of me. Probably because i knit an octopus once and the 8 long icords in a row was boooring
Also, I create projects on Ravelry when I start a new project and input the date. Then input the date when I finish. It gives a good idea of how long things take me
the try on part felt like i was on a video call with my best friend talking about what are we wearing when we go out :)
I think a fitted linen or denim vest would look great on you with those trousers. Also maybe experiment with wider belts in different colors for a pop. ✨
I just want to share, I because of loads of time in child care before I had my son. I threw myself into motherhood. Why? Because those moments of early childhood with your little one go so very fast. And you cannot get them back. Once they don't need you so much, then you can have time for yourself. And it comes much sooner than you think. And when they are small, they are so much easier to teach, like little sponges ready for new exciting ideas. My son was always about at least 4 months ahead in all the childhood growth steps, sometimes more. And be patient when they are fussy, new ways are always opening in their little brains. And get flooded with new things to try and understand. Mother hood is a treasure that flows too fast for some. So cherish all the tiny moments now before they are gone, time enough for yourself later.
Yes! Join the the Sophie Scarf girlies! Make sure you pick a wool that isn't going to itch. I follow Jente's (Mijn Wolden) recommendation of rubbing the skein on your neck to check if its tolerable. Can't wait to see what you make
The outfit try on part was so fun! I loved the pink cardigan and the brown kimono
Mamas underestimate just how important alone time is. Love you girlie, also being a mama means not being able to sit in the same spot for a long while lol constantly up and down with the growing baby. ❤ much love to you and your family.
Buy or knit a dark taupe sweater because taupe is a grey-brown. Black is gorgeous; I go by what looks good on me, colors that look good with my skin tone, and black works on you. 🤗
I nice rich chocolate brown accessory for the mint jumper 👌 scarf, or cropped cardigan
If you like these pants so much, and it seems you do. Then you should have more than one pair, in maybe the same color or more colors. Before you can't find more of the same fit. I find that if you find something you love get as many as you can. Never mind the style, these are a classic that remains. I like the oatmeal color sweater and the pink sweater the best, with the black turtle -neck you need to break up the black, maybe something tan over it like a sweater vest. Or a scarf in a fun color. Draped over your shoulders. Just tips though, you should always do what makes you the most comfortable.
Your hair is so beautiful 😍
Can’t wait to see the result of your next sweater! The pattern looks so great and interesting 😊
Lovely chill time hanging out with you!
You could also try a long necklace instead of a scarf
That skein of variegated brights would make a great tiny scarf to style with a top that matches your trousers.
Loepsie!💙
Most attractive pair of slacks since the days of Katherine Hepburn!
Cropping the cable pattern would really compliment your trousers and your waist.
Fun fact, the “i” in “i-cord” stands for “idiot,” because it’s what would happen if you forgot to turn your work! Kinda mean, but also funny.
I think the tousers would be great with a fit and flare cardi
You might take enjoy the style videos from Hannah Louise Poston. I feel like you would appreciate her analytical, poetic frameworks
You are an Autumn. I don't know what the analysis said but you are an Autumn,
❤
Hi loepsie ~~ do you still keep a life binder? If so can you do an updated video on it? And if not what kind of scheduling or notes do you use now? :)
Nope, haven't used the life binder in years! I just schedule in Google Calendar now
De spa klinkt geweldig! Naar welke ben je geweest? Mijn baby is nu 4 weken en ben ook wel toe aan een dagje spa 😅
Thermen Berendonck! Echt next level 😄✨️
