I would say that all the TH-camrs who make content about phones and especially cameras, I say that they will not edit them, let them come out naturally or however they take it
If you go into the settings and go to camera and turn on preserve settings then you shouldn’t have to keep pressing heif. It should stay on same settings until you manually change a setting
The one place where it looked like the iPhone 15 Pro Max did better, to my eyes, was the pier shot at 16:19 where the 15 appears to be giving us some computational dynamic range expansion, compared to the 12. On the other hand, it seems to want to automatically switch lenses/cameras on you at other times - and that would make me mental.
@Pierretlambert If you go to "Camera" in settings then "Formats" then down to "Pro Default" you can select the file size and format to save as your default so you don't have to reselect every time you take a picture!!
OMG!. This is THE best iphone 15 pro camera review! You are a so good photography. Just by random walking on the street you could snap so many good photos!!
Kinda wanna see what it looks like in the dark. This is the perfect lighting and scenario for the camera. I have the non pro 12 and the camera is one of the worst ive had in a long time. Maybe worth the upgrade but for pics ill always stick with the DSLR
This is awesome to see, I love the dynamic range improvements on the 15 pro. I'd be curious to see if the standard 15 is improved over the 12 pro also, I really want that pink color but don't know if I can go without the 'better' cameras of the pro
Hi Pierre, I liked the APPLES set up in the beginning, Nice. This apple iphone 15 pro has a really cool look to it and the photos were nice. The Macro shot of the insects was a clear, close shot of the insects, exactly what you should expect from a Macro mode, good on you apple. Nice gentleman in the hat that stopped to take a photo, not everyone says yes for a photo. The No Vacancy Hotel was a great composition and the Red Neon sign No Vacancy really added a great look. Thanks Pierre for introducing us to the iphone 15 pro. 😃
Now the question is ... why bother with a Sony A1 or with another camera, for many situations, when you have this camera flexibility, level of editability, as well as the revised portrait mode, also applicable after taking the shot, with the 15 Pro?...
Hey man, need advice here, I thought to get standard Yellow iPhone 15 as pocket computer and Sony Xperia 1 V as pocketable camera but it won't be as good as dedicated camera and much better than iPhone but end up with one more phone to carry. I thought to get my get first camera with tele lens because closer can. covered with iPhone 15, 70-200mm f4 can shoot macro which is more capability, but APSC 70-350mm has more zoom, which should i choose? How about Rx100 Vii and RX10 iV, are they worth it, I hope ew version with Exmor T going to release tho. I thought to get 20-70mm F4 and pair with 70-200mm F4 but as I realoised closer can cover with iPhone 15, I also noot surre if A7Cii/A7CcR are worth it since the big lens wont get benefit from smaller camera body and the EVF experience isn't going to be as good as full size A7. I also.thought to get Hasselblad X2D with single 28mm (22mm FF eq.) because I love its image quality and color and I can crop in a lot too, I also thought to get Leica Q3 which is good overall in one package, also Leica D Lux 7 which is ggoodd enough in a small beautiful package but I hope fixed lens camera can start at ultrawide with good macro too. I focus on Sony because it has that unique ultrawide to tele 20-70mm F4 lens and I Love Sony more, but if I won't get it but a super tele, should I get other brand? Any other brands has small super tele that has macro too like Sony 70-200mm F4 and good in video with minimum rolling shutter? But I still not sure, any advices and suggestions?
For me, the fun of photography is the process of taking pictures. First, you have to ask yourself why you need a camera. If it's to be creative and have fun, then as Pierre said, go to a store, grab a camera with a prime lens and go outside. You're much less creative with a standard zoom lens and you'll quickly realize you're using the same focal length a lot. I would recommend an A7 II and a 50mm lens. Start with that, and after a while you'll realize what you need and don't need for your type of photography. Is it a smaller camera because it's too clunky for you, or a zoom because you like to shoot wildlife, or maybe a wide angle lens for landscapes.
Great video as always, Pierre :) Would be awesome to know battery performance! Like how % did you spend during the shooting? This year i'd really love to pick the smaller Pro, i dont care about the 120mm on the Pro Max, but battery life making phone dead at half of the day with regular Pro is worrying me 😅
Handling a phone and trying to adjust settings is annoying as hell. A compact M43 for daily use is way better since 48Mp on a phone is useless compared to a real prime lens with less Mp and real RAW.
Thanks for your honest opinion! This isn't paid - no one gave me the phone - I paid for it 😮 just sharing a day of testing it on my own just to show it's not "that groundbreaking" lol

It's just so motivating watching your video; I need to head out and take some pictures. Thank you for making videos
I would say that all the TH-camrs who make content about phones and especially cameras, I say that they will not edit them, let them come out naturally or however they take it
interesting! yeah I put the before/after so people can see ^^
With a simple edit it will make the photo much better
Lolz. The photos from the iPhone camera app are already HEAVILY edited by the software. So it wouldn’t even be a valid test anyway.
@@chrispoulsen_shut up 😂💀

You shoot a car but you missed the opportunity, the tree! The shape of tree is so gorgeous and the shadow! 🤣

yes it changes "automatically" with the macro mode - it switches to the 0,5x that surprised me at first hah
Absolutely insane. You gave me such motivation📸
I’ve waited for this one 🎉
the last photos were pretty great, even with the low light. neon was crisp but not blown out.

Much awaited episode finally out 😍
Thank you!
I'd love to see more in depth use of the macro mode .
I like that it’s a photo adventure and iPhone review combo 😊

Thank you!
i love your reviews on new product but can we also have the photography day and takes photo around the city
It was very inspiring im gonna get one of these very soon!
If you shoot in raw it won’t capture depth but if you shoot normal mode it will
Great video! There were times I thought Ray Romano was talking 😁
thx dude!!! u are the best!!! was planning to upgrade my iphone 12 this year and ur video as always was amazing!!! greetings from mexico!!!
You’re the best pierre❤
great pictures ! perhaps i missed it but what is your conclusion and advises ? I am currently interested with 15 pro max
Hey Pierre, what vlogging camera are you using?
Can you get your hands on canon eos r50 with 18-45mm lens kit , thankss

yeah don't know why the PRO don't get funky colors!
@@Pierretlambertconfused between pro and pro max, which one u preffer for normal use.

You can’t convert to portrait mode if the photo was shot in HEIF Max.
Don’t know how hygienic it is to place a phone amongst fresh apples. But it was funny nonetheless. Good video
Some bad light /night examples would be great to see.
check the last few seconds of the video :)
Any overheating issue ?
Sony experia 5 V request
Did you edit the photos on the phone?
And is it possible to use your presets on the phone?
Hey! These on my laptop but I also edit them with my phone straight in LR mobile with my presets - you can use them too on your phone :)
yeah
how did you like this compared to the xperia 1 v?
I love the xperia pro mode with all setiings
Did anyone else catch the audio at 6:31 ?
That one 4:03 is my favourite
Thanks ! Yes in my top 2 also!

If you need to ask this question, you obviously dont need them yeah.
different way of creating and some photos still require certain types of gear
Would there be a comparison with Xperia 1 V?

Ah yes I didn't check at the end of the day. Seems ok for a new phone but my 12 PRO battery is getting older - you can have it changed I think!
Imagine going shopping for fruit and you find a damn iphone
Plz try s24 ultra
Presets are all about personal taste, nothing more.
I don’t see any significant reason to upgrade. I’ll probably keep my 12 Pro one more year.
yes keep it :)
iPhone 15 pro max is 4x what the iPhone 12 is. Not only is it faster, the cameras are waaaaay better.
Handling a phone and trying to adjust settings is annoying as hell.

how about overheating?
gets hot but didnt push the video
Is this pro max or pro ?

@@Pierretlambert do you prefer the pro this year? have a 12 pro max but does feel quite big but not sure if the 5x zoom is worth getting the max
@@Pierretlambert You think is someone ONLY cares about photos, not video, the 15 Pro is better than an S23 plus or ultra?
Super 🎉
The only one this that i get from this video there is nothing interesting with the photos without presets ! 🤣
hahaha
you just sold this phone to me.

Sorry Pierre but this is one of your worst videos you ever made. Don’t accept such promo videos please. It ruins your reputation in my opinion.
