I pile it in 5' diameter wire round cribs. Your tubular pallet cribs look great. I bought a Toptes meter but going to return it as it seems to only work well for moisture content above 14% such as drying or wet firewood. Anything below 14% doesn't seem to show percentage and just stays green with the LO reference. I got it for woods under 14% such as hardwood flooring so I am returning mine. I see it will only register the hardwood above 6.8% and similar reviews show it working and registering 10-14% and others running into the same problem as mine with not reading the percentage under 14%. Possibly I got a bad one. Perhaps they should have designed it to bypass the 3 Moisture reading segments with colors for LO MED and HI and just give a straight percentage reading for woods under 14%. Anything over 14% it responds quickly and shows the percentage readout as well as the orange or red background. For my purposes I would recommend you buy a different brand meter if you are trying to measure woods under 14%. But for firewood it seems to be a good buy for the price.

I would really like to do alittle more research on them moisture meters.....which I am not familiar with. I really like the color display and being able to lock in the moisture percent. I really wish I could make it over to KNL's but don't think I will. Stay safe my friend
So far in the couple weeks I have had to use the Toptes I do like it! The prongs are a little hard to press into the hardwoods. I guess that keeps them from bending. As far as promoting products, we trust your judgement or we wouldn't be here. GP Outdoors did a review with 2 other meters. Generic, $100 top shelf meter and Toptes. For $25 the Toptes compared almost identical to the $100 meter readings. Solid product in my opinion Todd. Thanks for sharing.

For the most part i use the caveman technique as well Stan🤣 When you have enough firewood cut it’s not as important because you’re well ahead of the seasoning game. There was a time when we were moisture checking because we were running out of seasoned wood! We have not been having that problem here lately 🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting Stan👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain to be honest I’m not a fan of close is good. The standard has grown to 20 or so % from 15 over the years. I see lots of wood being sold in the wood hound community too early too fast and it appears to be ok because people are likable. Get ahead stay ahead is an art but needs to the rule. 5 or 6 % makes a huge difference in my burning and I do know most don’t need it to be at 15% but for the money shouldn’t you get low moisture % just for more bang for the buck! Sorry for the rant have a great night!
@@stannelson2582 I agree Stan. That’s the very reason I refused to sell in bulk the first 2 years! I wanted to get well ahead and it was hard enough selling smalls out of the firewood stand! I believe if you sell it green once you lose a customer! Especially in our market. Like I said, in the video people want to buy it today and burn it today when they’re buying it from us.
