I enjoyed this video and really appreciate your insights into social media. It’s refreshing to hear a young person not be obsessed with it. I think your English is VERY good! That clarinervium is a beauty! I just got a very small four leaf (now three leaves 😢) seedling. I hope it grows to be as pretty as yours.
@@shimmy2708 thank you so much! Seedlings are very fragile, but I hope she will pull through 🥰 I find that once they mature a little bit they are a lot more resilient. Good luck!!
Gorgeous anthurium! It’s very inspiring to me that you quit social media completely. I do have an active planty Instagram and I really do enjoy connecting with other planty friends on there. But I hate the doomscrolling part of it as well. And TikTok is in my opinion the most toxic social media ever, worst thing you can do for your brain.. your attention span gets ruined so fast!
As for the Queen: have you considered cutting the pole in the middle? Anthuriums climb veeeery slowly and I suspect many many years will go by until it reaches the top. Risking accidentally underwatering or overwatering the plant. I have cut plastic back poles in the past and it really is no biggy. You can still extend it back, with an overlap of a few centimeters and some cable ties. Maybe worth a try 😉 Lots of love, judith
@@judithkrmrs8533 i actually did think about that, just haven't committed to it yet haha but definitely a good advice! Thank you Judith!! Sending lots of love and hugs back 🤗🥰
Hi Matt, I first want to tell you that I really enjoy your videos, I really like your personality. 😊 I think it is really courageous to speak out about social media! I totally agree, I can't handle it either.. 🙈 I never had an active facebook for which I am really greatfull because I already compare myself to others on a daily basis, I don't want to know how it would be if I had facebook and instagram.. 😬 For creative inspiration I made a pinterest profile, soon I had dozens of categories with dozens of videos each, without actually creating any of it! It felt like I was only one video away from finding something even better to make and I didn't want to regret going into action without considering EVERY option..! 😵💫This is when I discovered doomscrolling and how toxic it is for me. When bored I watch the same plant content again and again, which also is not the best choice. But I dont feel as depleted, restless and overwhelmed as with other social media. Lots of love and please keep doing what you do 😊
@@judithkrmrs8533 i totally agree! It can be sooo draining without even realizing it 🫠 Pinterest can also be such a rabbit hole. I mostly use it for inspiration, but nowadays with all the AI imagines I'm so not interested in it haha
I waste a lot of time scrolling Instagram reels. Appreciate your videos. Your English is great, your use of expressions and catch phrases are complex. When you say ya’ll I wonder where you picked that up. I lived in the Carolinas and even I haven’t picked up saying ya’ll. In daily life what percentage of your conversations are in English and at what age did you learn it?
Thank you so much! I probably picked up y'all from some youtuber 😆 i learned English mostly through watching TV shows back in my teen years. I don't use it much in my daily life, only if we have work meetings with clients from different countries, but I consume english media daily
Hi. New Subbie from Charlotte, NC. I really like your videos they are very relaxing. I devour planty content as I am an avid collector. I have really enjoyed hearing other planty influencers do videos on their wish list plants for 2025. I would love to hear what yours are in long form content. I appreciate you considering my request in advance.
You are right in so many ways! I totally agree with you about social media.
By the way your clarinervium is just beautiful ❤️
