- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!✨🎉This is gonna be a relaxed, cozy, chatty video discussing some planty goals I have for 2025. I hope you will enjoy and if you have any planty goals of your own for the upcoming year I would love to hear about them in the comment section below!!
Hi, my name is Matt and I'm just a silly lil guy who likes to do funny voices, drawing and taking care of his plants. Join me on this journey of self discovery, planty things and general nonsense 🌿🙌🏽

I agree with what you’re saying. Plants are alive. Like they have personalities and they communicate with us. They’re more than just houseplants but green friends they live with us.
Yes exactly ☺️💕
You need to look into sempervivum as outdoor plants. They are the easiest plants to keep. They grow and spread. They are cold and frost hardy. They look pretty all four seasons. You can let them be completely rain fed. They adore full sun. Their blooms are super pretty. And the only real work you need to do for them is repotting and cleaning them when they’re done blooming. They’re a once a year maintence plant.
@@aaronfrondorf9380 oh they really are gorgeous! Thank you for the recommendation 🤩
"If there is a door I have to open to water my plants - I'm not going to do it" 🤣 Totally agree! During summer all my indoor plants were cared for, but in order to water my balcony plants I had to put away a Philo on a moss pole, open the door and also a mosquito screen door..! Guess what happened..? Well I won't be growing plants on my balcony again! 😂 however who did survive my massive neglect and full sun were my crassula ovata and arborescens! They did much better than indoors! 🌱🤩
Have a great new year, Matt! 😊🎉
Haha i feel ya 😂 but happy to hear you had some success as well 🤩
Thank you so much and have a great new year yourself!! 💓🎉
Definitely try some variegated/ghost cacti! Depending on how dry your summers are even some hibiscus or Egyptian star flowers could do well in blasting sunshine!
Oh those would be great options! Thank you for the suggestion ❤️
I’ve been growing plant collections for 45 years. Until this collection, my plants have always lived on my lanai under a screen. I prefer being outdoors. If you could hang a shade cloth you could put any plant you want on your balcony.
I thought about it, but unfortunately there is no easy (or pretty) way to create shade 😭 but it's not a bad idea, maybe I'll be able to figure something out once spring comes 🤔
@ I’ll bet you can. Hooks maybe? I have to have plants outside too because I spend so much time outside. Keep us informed.
@GreenWitch1 oh hooks might be a good option! There is definitely gonna be some outdoor content once it gets warm 🤗
@ Yay 😀
I like your observations about patience... I am not a patient bunny but my new hoyas sure are trying to teach me some! So my goal is also to take a breath and wait for them to do what they're going to do when they decide to do it. Thanks for the reflections.
Thank you for the kind comment ☺️ Patience is something we all can work on
So many good points in this video 💚
Thank you! ❤️
Try Crown of thorns or desert roses. They handle full sun here in Texas where we can get to 107 degrees F. They also flower so they are beautiful.
Oh good to know! I'll keep them in mind once spring come around! Thank you 🌞
I also struggle with outdoor plants because I don't water everyday like they need. And I also need to re-assess my moss poles and decide how I want to move forward with them!
@@natjoy22 it's all about building a habit out of it I guess... easier said than done tho 😂😂
@@thecozyplantco exactly!
snake plants are dracaena now fyi! my plant goal for 2025 is to size up my anthuriums
Yes, you're correct, I'm just stuck in my old ways haha 😆 and I hope you will have lots of success with your anthuriums 🤩
