Im excited to see more revolvers come out! Cant wait to see what kind of .22 revolver Henry is going to make. Hope more companies make 9 and 10 shot revolvers because .22s are too much fun to have to reload after 6.
I have one of these. A local gunsmith did a perfect trigger job for me in lighten the double action pull. I didn`t ask him how but it looks like the factory one is still there so maybe he just cut one or two coils off of the spring but still able to fire the primer at the rim.
I have one as well, and just yesterday at the range the double action got markedly better. I'm somewhere over a thousand rounds. It became much lighter and had a definite wall. But it occasionally reverted to the stiff pull for a few rounds. I do not baby or clean it because it shoots anything reliably. Mostly I shoot cheap dirty Winchester ammo, and worse, I have various types all mixed up in my bag. It shoots so reliably that I stopped paying much attention to ammo though I can definitely feel the differences. I always shoot double action until my finger wears out, then go single. I figured it would get better if I kept using it and it did. This is my only gun, I do not need anything else, but I do not carry, and think this would be too large if I did. I am sold on revolvers for the range, even the loading process is a pleasant flow. Loading my friends' magazines I do not consider to be fun.
800 + rounds through mine and counting...Reliable little pistol. Double action trigger pull is very heavy at first, but gets lighter after a few hundred rounds break in. Definitely picking up another one.
all double-action rimfire revolver triggers are heavy, by design. altho im a revolver guy i way prefer my rimfire handguns to be sao or semiauto. please don’t fall into the trap of casually dismissing the carry of a rimfire handgun. it may be all that someone can afford, physically and financially, to get lots of essential practice with. a rimfire handgun makes an excellent hiking piece, and a small one is easier to carry, and more socially acceptable in “karen-zones.” you neglected to mention the one huge improvement of this gen2 model: the detent spring controlling the cylinder is now captured and incapable of flying away. the db sidekick gen2 msrp still seems high. i wish that ruger would bring a $250ish bearcat wrangler model to the market. cheers,
when the Sidekick first came out I really wanted it because of the swing-out cylinder but then I heard nothing but OK to bad reviews of the gun. not even worth the, then $250 it retailed for and with you still having issues with the double action, I still question it.
I like the this revolver, it almost looks like an 1877 Colt from 10ft away. I will probably pick one up when they offer a longer barrel on the birdshead grip.
Why does this thing still have such lousy DA action? It also needs better sites. Fix those things and they’ll have a winner. A plinker should be fun to shoot. Not interested until then.
Video good. Gun is junk. Mine is going back to Diamondback for the second time. Absolutely junk. Will not eject 22 lr rounds. New cylinder, still not ejecting properly. Please do not buy one of these guns. Heritage is 5 x better than the Diamondback Sidekick. I have both.

The sidekicks have a relief that makes them safe to dry fire without a snap cap.
Diamondback changed that in the documentation, you will void your warranty now if you dry fire a sidekick revolver.
Thanks you rarely see reviews of the Birdshead grip.
No problem!

A unique firearm design looking like a single action but operated like a double action and in action and ejection.
Thanks for the review. It helped me to make a decision.
I think it’s just a tool for me to practice on a 22 is great ammo cheap aiming is good for my other calibers helps me a lot. Thank you for the review.
Awsome

Are these CA compliant?
Good information brother I'm picking up mine on the 19th. BUT WHERE CAN I BUY A HOLSTER FOR IT I W B OR. O W B PLEASE LET ME KNOW 👍🏿THANKS 👍🏿
Buy the desantis holster for the heritage arms revolver
if DB can make DA revolver for cheap bigger manufacturer have no excluses
the DA on it to be fair is pretty horrible though haha
It’s a zinc frame. Ruger would get nuked online for doing that.
bring out a Sidekick in 32magnum 😊
Competition with the lcrx
Just what I want for these damn snakes with CCI shotshells I can fish early morning again and if I see another snake buy buy Mr postman 😅😅
