If you want the same 80x35in desk you can order or pick up a blank solid core door from Home Depot. Pick your stain and your legs and now you have a massive and very strong desk.
I also have the Uplift Commercial Grade 4 Leg Sit/Stand Desk.. with Butcher Block top... I really love the quality and stability of it.. Was expensive but well work it, its a tank, literally I got the 80x30 so its massive but love all the space. Also drew a lot of inspiration from this setup as I continue to build out my dark mode setup with Black/walnut color scheme with white/silver accents.
Any chance your friend takes orders on those desks? I had the same idea about copying the cable management from the magnus desk but really want a deep wooden desk.
Omg - "buy cheap by twice" - Legendary. Started off on this set up journey while back and cheaped out on everything looked nice but kept breaking or didnt work as expected. Just wait the extra time and pay the money. But that is the best saying.
Agreed. Good speakers are a must. Mine aren't as fancy but I'm using Polk Reserve R100 as my desktop speakers. Their sound suits me extremely well. Maybe I'll go with the small KEFs if I want something a bit smaller.
Same, I found it crazy how many people cheap on audio. Mine is probably a bit crazier because I isolated them with a floor stand and they're a couple of 3 way speakers (Wharfedale Evo 4.2). Even worse when they buy like 3-5k TVs and they buy a soundbar.
Ultrawideo is an amazing chromium extention that will properly scale video on ultrawides without cropping out any detail of a video! i highly suggest that its a huge qol upgrade and i cant go back after using it! other than that i love the setup!
I bought the 59 57" monitor after watching your Endgame Monitor video; I'm loving it and (for now) glad I didn't watch this video before I bought it! Fingers crossed. 🙂
ever thought of wall mounting the monitor? got my 75 inch 4k tv as my laptops monitor set to display 1 windows setting then you more or less have a desktop without the tower
I notice you weren't using the wrist rest during your typing demo, have you ever considered a low profile mechanical instead? I love the LoFree linear because of it. I switched over and really love typing with it.
I love this setup! One thing I'd love you to review is the Alienware 3225QF as a possible replacement for my dual monitors. I love glossy screens but finding a OLED 4K+ monitor for both gaming and productivity has been tricky. I think the higher pixel density of smaller screens for productivity and media but also still want to be able to game casually. Let me know what you think!
Also that is a sickk keyboard. Any tips on how to set it up? I was messing around on IQUNIX Super Zonex 75 - Especially the rose goal and aluminum key tabs but wasn't quite sure if i was doing it right.
Looks nice. Seems like the whole sit stand thing is a little old. Realistically, how often do you actually change your workspace elevation? I have an Uplift as well, super high quality frame and movement but if I'm honest, I rarely use it.
Some restfull classic music maybe ? For the rest it is a very neat setup ! But the problem is that i need to use two printers. Both are big. With that it is very difficult to get a neat and clean setup.
@jessechen can you please share what brand magnetic cable snack you're using and if you were to buy one again, would you buy the same one or explore a different brand/model? I see a few different brands on Amazon so curious which one you're using and how happy you are with it.
Why do such basic desk items like a dock and nice monitor stand have to be so much?!?!?! The Hexcal desk shelf is over $900 and the dock is $375! absolutely insane!
Great vid! I opened the same Grovemade desk pad for a couple years. While I liked how it looked initially, it began to show its age fairly quickly. I also had a custom desk top made, so I didn’t like that it was covering up that beautiful grain. I also didn’t like how my mouse felt on the deskpad - gritty (no matter how’s much I cleaned) and certainly not buttery smooth. So I tossed the Grovemade and ordered an Artisan mouse pad. I can’t speak highly enough about the pad, and I love having more of my desktop back.
Very nice video. I have the CalDigit TS3 (I think) and it's been fantastic. When I bought my M1 MacBook Air, I wasn't really stoked about dropping a huge chunk of change on a dock, but it's been SO WORTH IT. I also have one of the Grovemade matte desk pads, and I can't believe how much I like the thing. I've always been a soft cloth mousepad kind of guy, but thought I would try something different. I originally had their felt pad and just didn't enjoy the texture. The matte pad is just great though. Definitely the unsung hero of my desktop.
Looks like you have a peach wall behind your left shoulder and a sage green wall over your right shoulder. With a red neon sign, a walnut desk and a teal screen saver. I think the colours are waiting to be … cohesive
Its the KEF P1 Desk Pad, designed specifically for KEF LSX series speakers. Not cheap but its worth the money if u’re after quality, full aluminium stand at 10 degree angle.
You could of aways just bought a butcher block for your desk. Only downside is that its 1.5" thick and heavy. I went with a 96" x 25" Teak desktop about 450 for the block
Hi, how does the monitor handle scaling with the Mac, is text ok? With regards to photos, is adequate for photoshop. Looking at doing pretty much the same thing regarding photos. Looking to purchase the Mac mini studio m3 when it launches.
Great vid. What did you use to connect your Caldigit TS4 and the 57" G9 to get full resolution at 120hz? Or did you connect your G9 directly to mbp m3 via HDMI 2.1?
great video! how do you plug in your mac without the need to unlock it? do you have no lock at all or does it recognize that it’s your home docking station?
do you find that the crossmember right below the desk top effects how your legs fit under the desk? This has been the only issue that I have read about with the 4 legged desk, When you try to slide under the desk. That crossmember hits the top of your thighs>
now, I have just found your channel (and subbed right away). you (and your friend) should put that desk into production AND, if viable, patent all you can about it... I am tired of amazing desk taht suck at cable management or amazing cable management that fail miserably at being a desk... well done sir, very well done!
Have you a link for the casters? Also I was wondering whats the best standing desk on a budget under €400? I dont have a table top at the moment either so its probably better get the top with the legs rather than buying them seperately as im sure it would work out cheaper that way. The size Im after is approx 80cm by 160cm.
I noticed you have the tuks in white. I just purchased them and was debating between this and the kelfs you have. What’s your thoughts between the 2? Should I upgrade? It’s normally for edm music. Thanks
I regret buying cheap. But it gave me a chance to “test” stuff out before buying the expensive items. And on that thought too if the cheap stuff is actually decent might as well keep it 😂 im never gonna buy the govee lights though 😅😅
I recommend the Atlas headrest for the embody chair. Also I might have to scoop up that Tesla charger. Our setup is similar except I have the Ark Gen 2.
36 inch depth on the desk is was I did too. 78X36, however I ended up feeling too far away from everything (innocn 401C 40 inch flat 1440p) ended up cutting it to 32 and a half on the depth and now its perfect. Nice set up, what do you think about the Kwumsy K3 keyboard? it has a built in touch screen you can use on it, I think youd be able to get rid of your tablet. it is also hotswapable, AND has 4 USB AND has a NVME slot on it. Check it out, its 386 but I got mine on sale for 300, tell us if its "desk worthy". im interesting in your insight on this....rather odd keyboard screen dock..thing.
Are you using a MB Pro? If so what series, M1/M2/M3? Just wanted to know how you get full resolution on the display if using M1, since I guess that would require two cables and PBP mode on the monitor.
A year ago I started building my own setup, God, it's a never-ending story, there's always something new to buy... PS: it's great that you provided links...🤑
I got g9 49" Samsung and it died after 2 days. I waited for month for new one just to get question can they postpone fixing it for another 10 days. I gave up and got money back. Got LG 40" 5k2k few days ago. I will probably get LG dual up next to it since I need 2 monitors (combination of work laptop and second graphic card where I try to learn cad). I think for vertical size 32" is max (bigger size I think will strain my neck). I would prefer g9 57" but I gave up on Samsung because I heard its bad quality and I didn't want to experience again the same problem as with 49".
Next time, please, choose a song that wasn't used in commercial videos; it really triggered something in brain the second I heard that song. Video itself is on fire tho
The lack of timestamp of this video is just criminal.

Checkout uplift light bar, 32 inch sliding one…. It doesn’t attach to monitor, it has a desk clamp and is very bright
Finally, a setup with a decent pair of speakers
Agreed. Good speakers are a must. Mine aren't as fancy but I'm using Polk Reserve R100 as my desktop speakers. Their sound suits me extremely well. Maybe I'll go with the small KEFs if I want something a bit smaller.

Sound bars are the worst@@Frigobar_Ranamelonico
Agree, better with a sub but!
I have an uplift and a hexcal and I think they are invaluable to my setup!
Brilliant desk setup, really cool. Great video Jesse. I like how straight forward and transparent you are. Best of luck going forward.
The slight metal clink from the keyboard sounds amazing
Amazing setup. Will be interested in checking out our 3 in 1 charger and our magnetic ipad arm stand especially? thanks

That was actually the correct amount of detail I wanted to know.

Love the setup… can you post link to wallpaper?

Great setup!! Can you share the desk lift system, please?
@jessechen can you please share what brand magnetic cable snack you're using and if you were to buy one again, would you buy the same one or explore a different brand/model? I see a few different brands on Amazon so curious which one you're using and how happy you are with it.
Dagum bro.. you just BLEW my mind!! Whats the total cost of your sick setup?
Why do such basic desk items like a dock and nice monitor stand have to be so much?!?!?! The Hexcal desk shelf is over $900 and the dock is $375! absolutely insane!
Can you please leave a link for the switches and caps? Thank you. Great video.

Great video. Which Vivo Monitor Arm is that?
What iPad stand is that?, it looks amazing...
This is the endgame setup HOLYYYYYY
Yeah when i saw that hexcal (costing about my entire pc)in the thumbnail i know its something.
Looks like you have a peach wall behind your left shoulder and a sage green wall over your right shoulder. With a red neon sign, a walnut desk and a teal screen saver.
I think the colours are waiting to be … cohesive
Love the setup! I have the Kefs, and I couldn’t agree with you more. How did you get the speakers to sit at a tilt on the stands?
Its the KEF P1 Desk Pad, designed specifically for KEF LSX series speakers. Not cheap but its worth the money if u’re after quality, full aluminium stand at 10 degree angle.

3 words no more. out of words: YOU'RE THE BEST.
great video! how do you plug in your mac without the need to unlock it? do you have no lock at all or does it recognize that it’s your home docking station?
Dang this is awesome. Definitely cost me some money after watching this video!
Nice setup. I don't like the chair though, it has no resting space for the head.

Just watched a 13 minute video reminding me how broke I am
A common mistake

How I can get your desktop Picture?
Oooh! Nice choice on the Kef LSX II.
What was the chair that you recommend for best posture and back support ? I don't see a link, many thanks!
I just want to ask, i have a kef as well, how did you connect your KEF To your computer? Thru usb?
I noticed you have the tuks in white. I just purchased them and was debating between this and the kelfs you have. What’s your thoughts between the 2? Should I upgrade? It’s normally for edm music. Thanks

im rocking dual 42" lg c2's the seem is not perfect but not bad either.
Rlly dope my guy. Dreamy setup indeed.
Did you opt to delete the grommet holes from your desk?
i would definitely swap out the airpod maxes for something much better.
36 inch depth on the desk is was I did too. 78X36, however I ended up feeling too far away from everything (innocn 401C 40 inch flat 1440p) ended up cutting it to 32 and a half on the depth and now its perfect. Where are the time stamp chapters?! Lol either way, this makes me look at my set up and rework it.
Great video ! What is the tune used in the beginning of this video? Would appreciate if someone can share it
Have you experienced extremely annoying hiss coming from LSX II speakers? I bought one and had to return them because of that
when does the dark mode come in? in another video?
- awesome table top + legs
- awesome monitor
- awesome speakers + speaker stands.
GG
Can anyone suggest desk builds that don't face a wall?
How you able to use your mouse to main screen and iPad tablet? Cool setup. tq for sharing.
Are you using a MB Pro? If so what series, M1/M2/M3? Just wanted to know how you get full resolution on the display if using M1, since I guess that would require two cables and PBP mode on the monitor.
Do you use any split screen application ? Pls for advice or hints which one.
saw the intro and subscribed in 3 seconds lol
Does the dock allow you the full resolution and 240 Hz refresh of the monitor?
Did you have any quality issues with your Samsung OLED 49"
What stand do you use for the iPad? I like the lower profile it gives you. All of the ones I can find don't seem to give me that option.
NIce.
My Spidersense tells me the theme is WOOD ?
04:56 solo leveling 😁
Thanks Jesse, awesome setup mate. 🇦🇺😎👍🏻
Very nice set up congratulations 🎉
Does your friend have a video on how he made that desk top magnus pro mock?
A year ago I started building my own setup, God, it's a never-ending story, there's always something new to buy... PS: it's great that you provided links...🤑
@Jesse Chen could you provide the download link of your desktop wallpaper?
What mount do you use for your monitor? :)
I've heard 2 sayings about buying cheap stuff growing up:
"Buy once, Cry once" & "You get what you pay for"
What's the print frame size on your wall? Are those prints in 11x14? (looking at the options in your print shop)
These ones are 16x20 prints inside a 19x27 ribba frame from ikea
Yeahhhhh..thanks for the info. Won't be buying that anytime soon. Thanks, again.
how did you connect your speakers? is there an audio interface or an option to connect to the calldigit
went thru 2 of those samsung 57 both died in less than 3 weeks lol
What thunderbolt cable are you using from the Mac to the dock?
Does the light bar cause a glare on the curved display?
I got g9 49" Samsung and it died after 2 days. I waited for month for new one just to get question can they postpone fixing it for another 10 days. I gave up and got money back.

nice setup, 😍
Thanks! 😎
its a wonderful setup and the the way it is placed is the same as my room and i am also really working on it and tweaking it like you.
A very inspiring set up
would love to have a setup like that but not to be bummer
You're totally on in the background on my lower monitor.... so maybe it's not such a bad thing.
Could you pls tell me which wallpaper is the one with the green forest on a hill that (TH-cam thumbnail?)
What stand are you using for your speakers? Thanks
am i blind? i dont see the magnetic cable organizer in his links
The keyboard space bar sounds like placing stone
In minecraft
Great setup.
Stellar production. Thanks for sharing.
What Ipad stand are you using?
which hexagon game was that? interesting to see
Next time, please, choose a song that wasn't used in commercial videos; it really triggered something in brain the second I heard that song. Video itself is on fire tho
I can’t remember what commercial it was😭
Lofi music would be perfect for this
@@rayout5541I can’t remember either, but it sounds like every generic tech commercial ever.
I have to agree that song is terrible.... 😂 it ranks up there with the opening music for LAW and Order ...
Bro who cares
