    On the PGP-ADJ heads there is a nozzle tree that comes with it. My question is what's the application for the square hole vs the round hole nozzle?

    • @Nypsie98
      @Nypsie98 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the square hole (a grey nozzle) is a low angle nozzel.

    Help does the i-20 i-40 shut off cap work for the pgg ultra?

    Is there any advantage of using PGP over PGJ? I am planing to use these for lawn mostly.

      I think the pgp is for lager areas and the pgj is for small areas

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@harisguhdija9734 The PGP is more durable and has a larger stronger body with a 3/4" inlet then the PGJ which uses a 1/2" inlet.

      PGJ's are junk and won't last or give you good coverage. As a technician I often replace those with either a PGP or an MP rotary spray head and nozzle.

      @PhuryousOne I've installed mine on one of my zones, and it works well. It covers the area perfectly.

      @@coler156 And I 100% believe you. It's just, over time, they don't last as long as other options. They are notorious for not rotating. The dispersal isn't great and there's hardly any arc on the spray so when they lean over even just a little bit, the spray aims towards the ground. I personally hate them. I just started up a system today that had a tree lawn full of them. Regular sized rotors or MP rotary pop-ups would have been so much better.

    Can you use the base of a PGP-ADJ with the head/insert of an I-20?

    What sprinklers would you recommend for pond water? I know I read online that their gear driven PGP-ADJ is good because it has large dirty water screens but then I read on forums that they are also problematic with pond water.

    Can someone post a link to the spec sheet of the PGP ultras? I can find it for the I 20s and the PGP adjustable but not the PGP Ultras

    If I am watering a lawn, what depends on the height of the sprinkler? How the deep the pipe is? What is needed to determine what sprinkler height I need to water a lawn?

    • @ktmkilljoy
      @ktmkilljoy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      foliage height usually. 4 inch pop-ups are pretty much standard for lawns.

    How do you set the PGP Ultra head to 360 degrees, non reversing?

      Just set it to 360 degrees and it will be non reversing.

    Hi
    Can somebody tell me, what is the difference between hunter pgj and srm?

    • @SprinklerWarehouse
      @SprinklerWarehouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The SRM is an economical short-range rotor that offers an alternative to spray heads and rotory nozzles in the form of a Rotor sprinkler. Their longest spray distances are equal to the shortest distances of the pgj. They are also a bit smaller in size. I do not recommend using them with flowers. Normal spary nozzles or Rotory nozzles are better for using with flowers as the spray coming out of a Rotor is still pretty strong and will knock off most petals.

    I have got a troubleshoot for Orbit. I have a sprinkler spray nozzle too close to a 4" sidewalk. I have chiseled concrete to try to install a swing joint, but it is just not happening. Any advice????
    Either the pipe was cut too short OR the sidewalk has shifted. HELP????????

    hello, I have a plot of 35521 sqft, I put 17 sprinklers in a rectangle 23 ft inside the perimeter. I have a 2 HP pump (I do not remember the brand) and I put Hunter PGP Ultra sprinklers, but they have very little pressure in some places. What do you recommend me to do, divide the irrigation in two zones or put a bigger pump, for example 5.5 HP? Thanks

    • @PhuryousOne
      @PhuryousOne ปีที่แล้ว

      Do all 17 run at the same time?

    • @roberbonox
      @roberbonox ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhuryousOne yes!, currently i have all 17 running at the same time, i managed to adjust the sprinklers nozzle and is better but not what i was expecting at first

    • @PhuryousOne
      @PhuryousOne ปีที่แล้ว

      @@roberbonox The reason it looked a little better after reducing the nozzle sizes tells me it's a flow issue. Although you have plenty of pressure with your pump, if the water is moving too fast through the lateral line then it won't be efficient. 17 rotors is a bit much. You're probably spraying too close to the same rate as it's feeding. You should consider splitting it into 2 or maybe even 3 zones. What nozzle sizes are you currently using?

    Can I replace an I20 with a PGP? The lawn mower tore off the top casing of one of the sprinkler heads

    • @PhuryousOne
      @PhuryousOne ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Although nozzles sizes are different between the two. A 5 nozzle on an I-20 is much larger than a 5 nozzle on a PGP. You can match them close just by looking at the hole size and not paying attention to the numbers.

      I’d like to know if I can use the base of a PGP-AdJ and put the I20 head/insert in the PGP base and tighten it down. I want the option to shut it off without having to replace the entire sprinkler base.

  • @jeffmucha

    The PGP-ADJ and PGP-Ultra have a thin washer type riser seal where the I-20 has a three piece tapered riser seal. The I-20 has a more rugged casing and more threads on the top cap. The ADJ and Ultra have a single thread and a weaker spring.
