    First time irrigation installer, couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get the water flowing the right direction. This video helped BIG time as I didn’t realise you could rotate the pop up section. Thank you!

    Finally after 10 years of occasional use, I'm repairing and upgrading my Hunter spray nozzles, so this video was really helpful for me. Recently purchased quite a variety of underground riser parts and nozzles for the unknown and damage caused by moles and their tunneling along the patios and underground piping. Now I feel comfortable in getting a bit wet knowing how to adjust this efficient irrigation system.

    Great video. Just one thing. When I was adjusting distance it changed my right stop too I think. Do I need to hold nozzle when adjusting screw for distance? You do in the video but did not mention it so I am not sure whether it is necessary.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks, glad you liked it! The distance screw on top should adjust independently of the right stop (which is adjusted with the silver outer ring). What might be happening is that the rotator nozzle itself might not be twisted on tightly so any pressure is moving it slightly. But if the nozzle is on tight and the distance screw is still changing the right stop, that would be something we actually haven't come across and would be interested in hearing more about it!

    Thank you for the useful instructions! I have a question for you. When I wanted to decrease the radius by using the orange tool (and tried the flat head screwdriver) it didn’t seem to reduce the radius. When it reaches the maximum of 25% reduction, does the screw stop turning when I turned it to clockwise?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you liked the video! The distance adjustment screw on top doesn't actually stop turning once you've hit your max reduction, it will just keep turning clockwise but with no further reduction in distance. So if you've turned it about 4 twists clockwise, that is the shortest distance you'll get out of that head with the given water pressure. One way of reducing the distance further is to swap out the spray body with a PRS30 head, which reducing the distance about another 20% compared to the 40 psi input pressure these rotators are designed for.

    Have a question, when setting a left stop position, can I turn/operate with MP rotator both sides?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, when setting the left stop, you can turn the riser/stem in either direction until the left stop us where you want it. Then you can use the dial silver ring to adjust the right stop

    If I have a regular Hunter popup body and stem with a 12A nozzle, can I simply remove that nozzle and replace with a MP1000-90?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching, and yes, you can simply swap a spray-style nozzle with a MP Rotator nozzle!

    The contractor that built my house just used the regular black spray bodies for the MP rotators instead of the one with the gray head for 40 PSI. What is the PSI for this head? Will changing to the right body make my stream spray further?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The regular black heads aren't pressure regulated, so the pressure is just what your system happens to have (many many factors affect this). With the black being unregulated, that would mean if your system had 50+ psi, your rotators might actually spray further with the black head rather than the grey head. Changing to a 40PRS head will reduce the distance if your system has pressure over 40 psi, or won't change the pressure if your system already is running at or below 40 psi. Hopefully that helps

      The seting you set 1st on this nozzle. Where the water sprays on the left.

    What are the color tops indicating on the sprinkler heads?
    Is it just psi flow allowed and art ankle?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Each color on the top shows the radius (distance) the spray is designed to shoot. You can check out our article on spray nozzle selection on smartirrigation.com for a run down of the different colors and distances

    Is it possible to reduce the distance of left strip or right strip mp rotator sprinkler head

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching! And yes, you can use the same distance adjustment shown in this video (we used an MP1000 90-210) on the strip-type MP rotators and you will get roughly the same 25% distance reduction

    My MP Rotator is misting, it seems like the red section is spinning very fast. If i put my finger on it it slows down and acts normally but if i let go it starts to mist... what would cause this? defective head? I have 6 total same style on this zone, none others have this issue.

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching! Yes, your MP Rotator is defective. We have found that this seems to happen most often on systems with high water pressure (over 50 psi to the heads), so installing the rotators on pressuring regulating spray bodies (like the hunter PRS40) can help. But sometimes they just break as well. Simply replacing it should have you back to new!

    How many mp3000 210-270 do you think i can run with 74 PSI? 3 maybe 4?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How many will mostly be based on how much flow you can support at 40 dynamic psi. On a 3/4 line, I'd say probably 3-4 but hard to know without being there

    @alessiotius283 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi
    I have both the MP rotator 3000 and MP 2000, but I notice that the radius of the MP 2000 is not up to spec.
    I use them at 3 Bar and they should do 6.1 meters but they don't even reach 5 meters
    I don't have this problem with the 3000 series.
    I don't understand what it could be?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmmm that's strange. It could be that the 2000s are turned down with the adjustment screw at the top. Also, you could build a guage system to measure dynamic pressure (pressure with flow coming out of rotators) at the spray head to make sure the pressure there is 40 psi. Otherwise, there might be more complicated trouble shooting needed. Check out our patreon if you are interested in supporting us and more in depth levels of help! www.patreon.com/SmartIrrigation

      @@SmartIrrigation1 Thanks for the reply. I already did the tests and I'm at almost 50 psi.
      The only thing that comes to my mind is that having put them in a line of 4 sprinklers I wouldn't want the pump inverter to struggle to keep the pressure constant for a small flow rate (about 13 litres/minute) in fact the motor modulates a lot .

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the 3000s use a lot more water than the 2000s, if the 3000s work at specd distances it is likely an issue with the 200p heads themselves

    how do i reset the spray distance to factory setting?

    • @SmartIrrigation1
      @SmartIrrigation1  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching! Using the orange tool on the distance adjustment screw on the top, simply turn the tool counter clockwise 4 or so turns (you can't over turn it, don't worry) and when the distance stops increasing it will now be back to the factory distance.
