Still love my 2010 t-bird with hogslayer exhaust. Handling is fantastic when you get used to her weight. Gets compliments everywhere I go. A lot of people never knew triumph made these beasts.

I bought one in 2012, with a mileage of 7,000 miles. Beautiful and powerful.

I owned a 2010 model of this bike, here in the UK, fitted with the short pipes and was a real joy to own and ride. Sadly, following an operation to my lower back, I had to sell it because I had difficulty moving it around in my garage but it was one of the best bikes I owned.

Now you need to ride a 1700 Tbird. I have a 2014 Tbird Commander 1700 and it's a beast. 92hp, 103ci, 111ft lbs. I've put on around 6,500 miles in a year and a half, and it does get easy to ride and maneuver when you're used to it. Very well balanced for a 750lb bike.

I have a 2011 T-Bird and it’s a fantastic bike, I live in the UK and in quite a rural area, so lots of tight narrow country lanes and she handles superbly. That button on the left is for the highway/fog lights that are an option from the factory and can be retrofitted.

A great bike which I’ve ridden. Sad it never got the attention it deserved.

The 2nd switch is for driving lights if you add them, they have a picture of headlights on the switch

Looks nice where you are riding,no traffic at all. Where I am ( just outside of Philly) its like rush hour all day long . No fun riding around here .

Our traffic on its worst day is probably better than your traffic on its best. I can't imagine the traffic you all have out that way. Wahoo!

Hello down there, love your vids ! you seem like someone knowledgeable and loyal. I bought a 2000 Thunderbird 900 and when i was riding on the freeway and downshifted from 4th to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd, the bike shut off. Any idea what it could be? the owner said it could be the ignition coil. The mechanic drove it and said theres no problem with it and i should only pull in the clutch half way when changing gears and not fully pulled in. But...if the bike did shut off because of the clutch, why was it so hard to start after i pulled over to the side of the road ? i had to wait 1 minute and when i tried starting it, it just wouldnt catch. With a prayer, i went full throttle while starting it and it worked but it happened to me 3 more times on the way home. Thanks !

The crank position sensor is a known issue on the Triumph 900 triples. It will fail when it gets hot, let it cool down for a bit, and it will be fine until it heats up again, then it shuts down again. This is located behind the engine cover on the right side of the engine. Used to be a fairly inexpensive part, think they're a bit pricier nowadays. Easy replacement, basically getting the air gap correct is the only thing you need to worry about.

Was it a hot day? Do those bikes have any trouble with vapor lock? I would try some fuel system cleaner. I like to add ATF to the tank. I believe it to be a useful cleaner and it should be good for everything . It shouldn't hurt anything.
