Marie-Anne I do agree with you. I have a recent memory of my mother ( Jacky Kennedy fan from the UK) and my mother inlaw ( a tailoress and German) I was behind them they looked so elegant both in there 80s mum in black trousers and polo neck sweater with a silk scarf that was my grandmothers and a camel coat and mum in law in navy blue coat, trousers and a cream silk blouse and a silk scarf that she screen printed herself. Yes they still turned heads.
Another important style tip I have learned from you is to know your skin tone and what colors suit you best and base your makeup and wardrobe on these. Luckily the colors that suit me best are variations or include undertones of blue which are my favorites.
Bonjour Marie-Anne. I’ve always been aware of these style rules but what I love is when you show the difference between sticking to them or ignoring them. It really illustrates why they’re important and how they make a difference! I was looking at your thumbnail picture and thinking I really need to elongate my silhouette. Thank you Marie-Anne. Please stay isolated and safe at this time 😘
You are so right! I found while looking at old family group photos that the women wearing solid colors do not look dated even when the photo was years old. They were chic and timeless!
I have only just taken the plunge with made to measure garments. I spent my entire spring budget on just 6 pieces and I'm really excited about it! I have an hourglass figure (my waist is 2 sizes smaller than my bust and my hips) and also a long torso. Ready made clothing (even higher quality) tends to look either frumpy or salacious on me and tailoring tends to take away from some of the length so that I feel I am constantly tugging things to make them longer... I've been working with a smaller, wardrobe for 5 years now (I discovered Jennifer Scott's 10 item wardrobe and I haven't looked back) but this is the most I've ever spent in a season since then and I'm really excited to wear these items for years to come. ♡
Thanks for this comment. I am hourglass-shaped too, long torso as well. Struggled to find the right swimsuit because it never fits right. I just looked for Jennifer Scotts's 10 items and found a Ted Talk. So, thank you for that.
Yes!! This message resonates with my entire fashion philosophy. Simple, elegant lines. Dressing for my colouring, body shape. Having a curated wardrobe with classic items of exceptional quality. These items are the hardest working pieces in my wardrobe. I have long been a fan of Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn. They epitomised French elegance. My eye is always drawn to styles they emulated and were characterised by. I will say the exception would be a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress. When I first tried one on, I was blown away at what it did to my body. I now have over 20 DVF items (dresses, tops, shirts, jumpers). She is a fashion genius. What she did was revolutionise dressing. Thanks for sharing all your wisdom with us. I hope you are safe and well.
I used to work at a resale clothing store. So many women would pass by the wrap dresses, because they certainly don't look like much on the hanger. I used to convince our customers to try one on. Voila! What a difference! A wrap dress that looks sad & limp on the hanger can be gorgeous on a woman's body. That's a huge style tip/rule: try things on! Specially if you're at the beginning of creating a new wardrobe. Try it on and see. It's free to try it on & you're already in the dressing room, so take another few minutes and try on something a little unexpected. You may be pleasantly surprised. Even if you have a favorite brand, try it on. Sizes can vary within the same brand. Even shoes nowadays. I have been buying a size 7.5 in American shoes for years, but recently a 7.5 was too big, in two different brands. My feet haven't shrunk. But sizing is so inconsistent nowadays, trying everything on is a must.
I just purchased a jacket from Boden, a sale item. As soon as I took it off the hanger I could feel the quality of the fabric and what construction! Very pleased.
Marie-Anne, thank you for sharing this valuable information! KEEP IT SIMPLE, and LESS IS MORE resonated with me as I have already been thinking like that. I find myself tired of "fussy" clothing. 💐
Another great video Marie Anne. My mother always followed the quality over quantity rule. Sadly we could never wear each other's clothes since she was an inverted triangwe and I have an hourglass figure. I too must avoid skinny jeans since they are like tourniquets on my thighs yearning to breathe free. In an earlier video you mentioned the importance of buying a good bra. For anyone over a D cup, you can never compromise on this. No outfit will look good with saggy droopy boobs. Grace Kelly, Jackie Kennedy, and Audrey Hepburn were not busty. We need some hourglass fashion icons.
Thank you. These are good reminders. I am an apple shape, albeit a fit smaller version of one. I kind of look like a rectangle shape but I categorize myself as an apple because if I gain weight it tends to go to my midsection. I know the style rules for apple shape but I find it harder to hide a larger midsection. I love wearing fit and flare type dresses and skirts that are fitted at the waist and flare out to create ah hourglass silhouette. I also love monochromatic colors in my outfits.
Yes, please, Marie-Anne, as many rules of French chic as possible. I love it that the rules you give us are always so simple and easy to follow for everyone who wants to follow. All of them except organising the wardrobe but it's my fault because I'm so lazy.
Dear Marri ann , thank you very much for your wonderful advices, I use some of your rules without realizing they are chic rules, I simply followed them cause I liked to do so, now I know they are rules and I entened to follow them and advi e every one I know to follow them, thank you so much.
OMG!! I find your tip about knowing your body type to be soooo important. I'm pretty sure I'm an inverted triangle (and I'm busty) and find certain styles unflattering on me, like puffy sleeves, boat neck sweaters and skinny jeans. I wear a lot of of dark, solid colour v-neck tops with wide leg or bootcut pants and A-line skirts. While I try to keep an open mind about trying new things, overall I find knowing what works for my body shape helps cut down on trying on a ton of clothes and to forgo certain styles/trends because they're not going to work. I find it interesting when sales staff tell me complicated ways to wear a certain item to accommodate my body shape! I mean, why bother when there are better choices? One again, Marie-Anne, another helpful video!
I am an hour glass petite shape. I have a small waist so I like to wear clothes that are fitted at the waist. If I wear a standout piece everything else is neutral. I always buy the best quality I can afford. Sometimes an item last until I am very tired of it. Simple elegance is perfect for everyone. I think all of these style rules are of importance to looking nice. I do wish people in America would be concerned with at the very least looking decent. When I am in public a lady or man ( rarely} who is dressed nice truly stands out.I always notice how people are dressed. I loves styling beautiful clothes and your ideas are timeless.
I knew many of the French principles but I had no idea I was as a rectangle until I found you. Besides this I’m very tall (6,3) and very slim (thanks goodness!) so I stay away from skinny clothes, high waisted pants, and monochromatic clothes from top to bottom. Those need something to break the endless view effect like a coat, jacket, blazer on a different color or tone so I don’t look like a long snake! But with every mistake we make there’s a lesson we learn and therefore our knowledge and sense of style grows every day. Sharing it right away! Thanks to heaven we have you Marie-Anne!
I absolutely agree with buying quality and not quantity. I've always tried to stick to the three colour rule I have seen some perfectly decent outfits destroyed by being too fussy, it's much better to keep to clean lines. It's great that you remind us of these basic rules to keeping it simple and chic.
Thank you! I've been a fan of French fashion rules for decades. My fave is investing in a few, well-made pieces that are timeless. Also, I love your red lipstick. I wear it every day, even while I'm 'social distancing' at home.
Until a recent weight loss I was an apple shape putting on the weight around the middle , Now I'm back to hour glass but don't like anything clingy to the top half of the body . I love solid colour tailored clothes . Few prints can entice me at all but I sometimes admire them on others . I believe your rules boil down to - wear your clothes , don't let the clothes wear you .
KIS! I remember that one hehe. I've noticed that my French friends (I only have 2) aren't big fans of patterns.Very useful tips Marie-Anne! Merci. Hope you are keeping well x
What makes your videos very easy for me to follow is that our colouring is not dissimilar and I love she same colours as you do, our ages are very similar and like you, I am a rectangle!!! So all your advice makes sense to me. I have always always avoided boxy blazers and sought out the ones with a nipped in waist. My favourite one is a navy with a delicate pinstripe that is about 20 years old and I still wear it regularly!
I am an apple. I need wide leg jeans with a short jacket or a blazer to create a waist.😊 Oh, and V neck neck tops!! It is actually less expensive to buy better quality! You have to think if you really want/need it, it drapes better, and the closet is less cluttered. Yes, please more rules!! ❤❤❤
I would love to see more style rules! Being retired, I'm busy with projects that keep me at home, and it's easy to forget the fundamentals that guided my working days. Your videos remind me that there's no reason to not look my best all the time, except when I'm gardening, where I must dress for mud and compost. BTW, I love your books. Stay well, Marie-Anne.
You are so lovely in this video, your hair and makeup, eyes with just a mere touch of shine in the neutral pink eye color, show off your natural elegance. Comfortable in your own skin, you are truly beautiful.
More style rules would be good, but I'd like more than rules. Learning from you as you demonstrate outfits is wonderful too. As for quality over quantity, I do agree heartily.
Recently found your channel and am binge watching. I've also begun sewing during the covid, one of the biggest reasons is due to the quality over quantity. I dislike 'trends' and have always loved classics, but can never find items in the right cut, or colour, or fit (apple) so I thought, why don't I learn to sew my own clothes and make what I want. Thanks to TH-cam, thats exactly what i'm doing now. Now you and a couple of other french ladies are helping me achieve that classic style I've always admired. Keep up the great content!
My mother taught me these things when I was a child. She was not French, but very smart and stylish. Her style was understated elegance. She was a teenager during WW11. There were many shortages and people learned to make the most of what they had. She bought only a few but very well made classic pieces...and would wear one piece of jewelry...plus earrings. She kept her favorite clothes from the '40's and made some of them onto school clothes when we were little. So, she taught me to be very efficient and economical with fabrics and clothing. Even now, when I can no longer wear a garment, I start thinking of what else I can turn it into.... I love listening to you. You make perfect sense and of course, sound like how my mother did. Love to you and thank you for posting.
Bonjour Marie-Anne. Hope you're staying home and staying home. Here in Canada we're in self-isolation. Jackie Onnasis was American, however, her parents were French. Jacqueline Bouvier. Great tips. You didn't mention anything about colour. I adore when you speak French. It always sounds so much better. Merci and stay safe.
I am pear shaped and I completely agree that skinny jeans look terrible on my body type, and especially on a mature (overripe?) pear. It's so frustrating because these days they are pretty well the only jeans that are being made to fit "curvy" women, other than the frumpy kind of jeans that are very voluminous in the legs. I have to get my jeans tailored.
I love this video. I believe the care tag is very important. Following manufacturer's instructions to care for the garment. And not buy garments that one cannot care for properly. So in other words, my friends buy these expensive pieces and then they complain how expensive it is to clean them. And then they end up throwing the expensive pieces in their washer. And ruining them. And then they say they will never buy expensive pieces again because they don't last. When it was the washing machine that ruined it! So for some people maybe buying more of less quality items is better because they don't have the money to take care of the expensive items.
Hello Marie Anne love this I think finding your Body shape is key . Today there is so much influence from social media ,TV and magazines that many times we purchase things that we see but might not work for us . Always admired Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn and one of my recent favorites the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy Thiss was so helpful thank you 🤩
Great advice. After watching your videos I’m getting the ideas imprinted in my head. Less is more, no more than three colours, smaller prints, better quality over quantity. I’m sorting my wardrobe out and putting outfits together.
I hate flilly clothing and skinny jeans. I love prints but when they are quite buzzy I tone it down with a basic neutral piece. I totaly agree with these rules!
Marie-Anne, you are a blessing in these days that we need to stay home, thank you from my heart! All your ideas are great, and what is the most important very easy to apply once you keep in mind the rules, you start thinking diffrent. Today we have so many things to choose, which is good and bad in the same time. Good because you have many options, and bad because some of us loose themselves in so many options. Three colours rule, yes, I learned it from my aunt, she was a very chic lady in communist Romania, which in that time was difficult. I always admired her, wanted to be like her. She teach me some of the rules that you are also speaking here. Now I value her more, even though she is not with me any more. I am grateful that I can watch you and we must all be grateful for the opportunity that we have to know each other and also ourselves more in this time, good luck and all the best!
I am an hourglass, but my waist is not as narrow or well defined as I would like, so I like to add belts and such to give more of a waistline silhouette. I love your videos! Abiento!
I would love to know more about french chic essentials! Your exercise from this video will be fun to try, especially since I have a lovely book about style icons. It will be fun to view these icons with a different perspective. Have a wonderful day everyone and stay safe!🤩🥰💖
Yes, more style rules please. last night I was looking online for a dress to wear at my daughter's wedding and I saw some I might like to wear; however, after listening to this video I'm glad I did not order any dresses yet. What I was looking at was the exact opposite of your advise, so thank you. My problem is I'm still searching for my style as I never wear dresses at all. Thank you for another great video. I hope all is taking its course toward good health in your country.
These are wonderful tips! Two tips i've learned for sure is to dress for my shape (hourglass), and keep it simple, i'm not a fan of busy prints, I'm very much into buy less but better.
Hi Marie-Anne. Another fantastic video. I was really shocked with the picture before the video started. I had to look several times. Your on the left and the right. WOW!!!!! What a difference. You are truly a beautiful and elegant woman. The picture on the left....your wearing a skirt....if that is you.....what a difference. Take care and stay safe🌹x
Great video and great advice as always Marie-Anne. I've always known I was pear shaped, but it's only since watching your videos that I've begun to understand how to make the most of it. I'm still learning, but your simple style rules are pointing me in the right direction to find my own style. Merci beaucoup! 💕
I have an hour glass shape with a large bust, full hips but a large stomach (I am currently in the process of trying to lose this by exercising). I tend to go for simplicity, A line shapes. This is flattering to my shape and hides my stomach. If I wear a top and skirt, I tend to make sure they are the same colour - this way it makes me look slimmer and doesn't cut me in half. I tend to go for simple, fitted tops which are cut low but show little or no cleavage. I find this works for me.
Hello Marie-Annie, your lessons come at the right time👍😀 in this situation women tend to go emo shopping, now its the time to reshape and re evolve looove it 🍀🍀❤️
I am an hourglass. I have to be very careful with thick fabrics, big prints, ruffles and bulky siluettes. A lot of things make me look bigger than I am. With my bigger bust I can't wear spagetti strap tops, or anything strapless and I also don't like mini skirts because they make my legs look thicker. I loooove flowy midi skirt, A-line or a little bit tighter than that, also, fitted V neck tops, shirts, belts, straigth leg trousers and dresses which are fitted at the waist and not too wide at the bottom. (And I really like to show off my nice ankles, I wear high heels a lot because they make me feel confident.) I love the style of the 50's basically. My style icons are Grace Kelly and Carolina Herrera.
Marie-Anne, I love all of your conseils. The one that struck me in this video is the "not more than three colours" in one outfit. You are 100% spot on. Wow. You're so elegant, feminine and chic, but you're strong and tough at the same time. I don't know how to explain it. Thank you, so much for your advice. Marie-Anne, do you have any advice on perfume?
Great tipps 👍🏻 I am a petite and hourglass, i love wearing white and black and look terrible with graphics and big patterns. A big mistake in my opinion is wearing to much jewellery and make up, too.
This was fabulous! I'm always looking for a capsule that I can take with me for traveling. With those ten pieces you have created so many looks, too. I love the classic color ways, especially the red ballet flats and the scarf. Wow! Merci beauoup, Marie-Anne!
I’ve recently discovered your channel and now I’m working through all your videos! You are very chic and your advice is fantastic. I’m very jealous of your dressing room. Having such a nice space must really help put you in a good frame of mind
Another great video, Marie, although I have more pressing things on my mind at present, during UK C-19 lockdown, than fashion and style. Survival, and keeping healthy, for instance! As it is, I have been following these style rules (a) dress for body shape (b) dress in right colours (c) better quality over quantity for years now. The only rule I have learned most recently, from you too, is the three colour rule. I'm surprised that you didn't mention (b) though, in this video (although you have stressed it in other videos).. No point in wearing three colours if they are the wrong three colours, surely! You are a Winter, so you have a lot of choice. For Summers, like me, I have to be careful that i don't wear the kind of colour palette that looks good on you. I'm a pastels kind of gal. I actually like very good in busy small flowery prints too. So I tend to wear these. My first ever style book was by a female fashion Journalist called Leslie Field. She wrote a book in the 1970s, which I bought in the 1980s, called 'Dress Like a Million.' I still have it on my shelf to this day.
Thanks for explaining your style. I find as a "summer" that I can throw any two or three colors together, and they blend like magic. My downfall is how I love jean skirts which don't flatter my heavy legs. I'll try jean dresses (prairie) and jumpers next! Not very chic, however!
I agree with everything!!!!! : ) BUT: almost always (not for occasions) I love to have 1 tricky patterned thing on me, this is my crazy hipster or FUNKY side :D :) good night Marie!
Marie-Anne Lecoeur Hi Marie-Anne, I have just done my body shape and came out as a ‘Pear’ which I have been all my life. I was going to sort my wardrobe out but got busy doing other things. I desperately want to change my whole wardrobe including clothes, shoes , accessories etc as my style seems to have got lost somewhere. In the past I always dressed in elegant and classy clothes but when I met my husband he sort of changed me and since he died 11years ago I have really let myself go as I don’t go out much. I am now thinking of doing a style journal as I now know how I want to look and this will make me feel more like the old Judith. I am also looking to change my skin care, makeup and hair style . This maybe a lot to do but needs to be done now. Love your TH-cam channel, and love all your advice 💕
Thank you so much, dear Marie- Anne .You make lots of sense. We wish for a dressmaker bc too many uniforms around during the Holidays. Greetings from far away, yes...from over here Wisconsin🙏💕🌷
Hi Mary÷Anne. Yes, I've been.noticing audrey's style rules in old movies and it's TRUE about simplicity and 3 colors or less. I am something between.hourflass and pear, about a size 4 us . So I will try your course s to see which I am more. My young daughter always tells me I look.best in straight leg vs. Skinny Jean's. Thank you for this video you are great.
Hello! I didn't mean to be rude-I didn't want to offend you-i love your channel-it's just that having lived in France I feel all French women may know the "rules" but they might not always follow them@@MarieAnneLecoeur
Bonjour Marie-Anne, I think a lot of people go along the clothes rails, or look at what the maniquin has on and say to themselves, "I like that" and decide to buy. It took me a good few year's not to fall into that trap. I have my icons and they are my guide Audrey Hepburn JK and of course you 😄💄🍰🍷😘😘
I’m a rectangle. I’m going to start going through my clothes and remove items. I definitely never learned to dress stylish. I also need a full length mirror!
Marie all of these rules I followed all my life. I live in Canada and I wish every women to watch your videos.
It took me 46 years to learn about quality over quantity. It makes all the difference!
Still learning but I’ve made a commitment to adopt that asap!
Dear Marie-Anne, thank you for your videos. I have to admit: I've lived all my life in frump. I am now hoping to change my ways with your advice.
This hairstyle is your most flattering! It softens 🥰
Thank you! Merci! You are so stylish and kind, sharing your knowledge with us. 🙋🏻♀️
You are very welcome Bernadette x

How about Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Vergara?
Monica Bellucci, à mon avis.
Marilyn Monroe.
Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren
wonderful tips and your face is just beautiful from such close up Marie- Anne

"do not dress like a Christmas Tree or a clown" I love that :)
The French must have found the 1980s a challenge. All those bright colours, patterns and oversized accessories. 🤢😖

I’m a petite pear with a long torso and short legs. High waisted pants are my friends as well as cropped top and thick belts. Changes my shape. Magic.
Thank you! I've been a fan of French fashion rules for decades. My fave is investing in a few, well-made pieces that are timeless. Also, I love your red lipstick. I wear it every day, even while I'm 'social distancing' at home.
Julia Gray, you look stunning ❤😊
I'm an American,i really like your videos,on how to dress for your body shape,i enjoyed your video.
Glad you like them 🤗

I'm an hourglass, too. I love sweaters and knits, but I buy them at least one size larger than the size charts say. Otherwise they look a bit R-rated!
Barbara Christie, you're absolutely gorgeous 💓💓💓❤and I will be glad to know you

so true, good quality shows you off. silk, cotton, leather, wool

My favourite one is a navy with a delicate pinstripe that is about 20 years old and I still wear it regularly!
Vera McGrath, you look stunning ❤💓😊
I love the 3 color rule. You are so helpful! I love watching and learning from your Videos!
You are very welcome Susan x
Such wonderful advice....thanking youxxx
Thank you. Your advice and suggestions have truly changed me life❤
You are so lovely in this video, your hair and makeup, eyes with just a mere touch of shine in the neutral pink eye color, show off your natural elegance. Comfortable in your own skin, you are truly beautiful.
Thank you so much and I hope you and your family healthy!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur You're welcome, and merci for sharing yours as well.
I hear you and feel your pain. I am in the same boat. I love boot cut. I am tired of frumpy..
That is a very interesting point Flip Macz - merci 😘
Hello Marie Anne love this I think finding your Body shape is key . Today there is so much influence from social media ,TV and magazines that many times we purchase things that we see but might not work for us .
Always admired Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn and one of my recent favorites the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy Thiss was so helpful thank you 🤩
The boot cut jean tip was a good one.
Great advice. After watching your videos I’m getting the ideas imprinted in my head. Less is more, no more than three colours, smaller prints, better quality over quantity. I’m sorting my wardrobe out and putting outfits together.
Always like the down to earth concepts in your videos. Any tips you can give for petite women would be greatly appreciated.
I hate flilly clothing and skinny jeans.
I love prints but when they are quite buzzy I tone it down with a basic neutral piece.
I totaly agree with these rules!
I'm going to save this video. But the thing that I'm taking away at the moment is that I want to speak French! :-)
I am also studing French because of you (too)
C. C. Something to do in the lock down time
I reccomend the free language app duolingo ,I have been using it for a while and find it a fun way to learn the beautiful french language.
Very good video. My body is inverted triangle. I think is a very dificult body shape. But is the only I have. So, let's be happy.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Thanks for listening.
As a 65 old English male - your advice is excellent for both female and male
I have learned that I am a pear and have been trying to dress for my form. Thank you, Marie-Anne!
Maria Sorial,I love your pretty smile ☺ ❤
Yes, would like to know more of the style rules French women follow every day, with examples if possible. The pillars make so much sense!
I am an hourglass, but my waist is not as narrow or well defined as I would like, so I like to add belts and such to give more of a waistline silhouette. I love your videos! Abiento!
Bonjour Marie Anne, yes definitely I would love more french style tips videos. Merci 😊🌹
@@MarieAnneLecoeur 👏👍😊😘🌹Merci
Bonjour marie Anne, sooo good to see you looking well and sounding happy!!! Lots of great tips for the ladies, as always Paula x
Bonjour Marie Anne.I love your elegant and beautiful style.Merci.❤😊
Merci 🤗
I would love to know more about french chic essentials! Your exercise from this video will be fun to try, especially since I have a lovely book about style icons. It will be fun to view these icons with a different perspective. Have a wonderful day everyone and stay safe!🤩🥰💖
Linda Wescott, you look great with your kid ❤😊
Yes, more style rules please. last night I was looking online for a dress to wear at my daughter's wedding and I saw some I might like to wear; however, after listening to this video I'm glad I did not order any dresses yet. What I was looking at was the exact opposite of your advise, so thank you. My problem is I'm still searching for my style as I never wear dresses at all. Thank you for another great video. I hope all is taking its course toward good health in your country.
Sharon Kay, you're so beautiful 💓😊and I will be glad to know you
These are wonderful tips!
Marie-Ann I love your videos, thank your for teach us French style.
So logical and focused! Easy to remember and apply. Many thanks.
So classic and classy, Marie-Anne. Thank you!
Hello Marie-Annie, your lessons come at the right time👍😀 in this situation women tend to go emo shopping, now its the time to reshape and re evolve looove it 🍀🍀❤️
Quality over quantity is a good idea, one I am learning after years of doing the opposite!
I lived in France and so love the style!
Beth Bluet, How is France
Wonderful advice and consistant with what you've taught us all along.
And LOVE LOVE LOVE your wispy bangs-fringe!
Great tipps 👍🏻
I am a petite and hourglass, i love wearing white and black and look terrible with graphics and big patterns.
You are very welcome Karen x
I have your book, How to be Chic & Elegant, and have practically memorized it. Thank you, Marie-Anne👍
Besides the great, and wonderful content, I come to this channel to hear Marie-Anne’s French accent!♥️♥️
Once again I "Thank You" .. What good rules and advice to follow. Chic and classic. Glad I found you Marie-Anne.🗼...CeeCee🧑
BRAVO! Vos piliers sont superbes!!! J'approuve! Merci beaucoup Mme Marie-Anne!!
I’ve recently discovered your channel and now I’m working through all your videos! You are very chic and your advice is fantastic. I’m very jealous of your dressing room. Having such a nice space must really help put you in a good frame of mind
Merci Amy - I do love my studio 🤗 and spend a lot of time in there working and getting inspiration 😃
Marie-Ann you always look great and your short hair is so pretty and sassy😘
Hi Marie-Anne would be interesting a video on wich you analize style mystake made by people maybe with pictures
Ssaby Vi, you look gorgeous ❤❤
Great pillars and love the fruit.
Great rules! I couldn't agree more.
Great advice, as usual! I recently purchased How to be Chic and Elegant, and will read it during this quarantine.
BUT: almost always (not for occasions) I love to have 1 tricky patterned thing on me, this is my crazy hipster or FUNKY side :D :) good night Marie!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur okay! :D good! I can dress too much sometimes as a little girl! I love crazy socks for example....:D
I found myself wondering if some traditional English patterns would find a home in a French closet. Some plaids are nice, maybe on tweed. Etc.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur good to hear!! ;) and fake glasses, crazy hats...:)
I agree with all this advice and now off to sort my wardrobe out
Marie-Anne Lecoeur Hi Marie-Anne, I have just done my body shape and came out as a ‘Pear’ which I have been all my life.
Your skin looks very young and beautiful
Merci Marie~Anne pour vos bons conseils 🦩Mais oui, Jacqueline O fut une inspiration pour nous toutes 🌾🎀🛍🥂🍾👛👠👒
She was a great Francophile
Skinny jeans. Ugh! I will be so happy when this trend is gone. I think we all forget what we look like from the back. Thank you Marie-Anne!
Skinny jeans are not considered a trend. They’re here to stay.
Susan Yakus, you look stunning ❤😊and I will be glad to know you
French women never make style mistakes? That's a bold statement!!!!
Hello! I didn't mean to be rude-I didn't want to offend you-i love your channel-it's just that having lived in France I feel all French women may know the "rules" but they might not always follow them@@MarieAnneLecoeur

@@MarieAnneLecoeur De rien, mon amie.
I’m on a binge..watching all your vids! Love your style 👌
Bonjour Marie-Anne, I think a lot of people go along the clothes rails, or look at what the maniquin has on and say to themselves, "I like that" and decide to buy. It took me a good few year's not to fall into that trap. I have my icons and they are my guide Audrey Hepburn JK and of course you 😄💄🍰🍷😘😘
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Yes you do!!!💄👠👗xx
