Cheapest DeWALT vs most expensive Makita impact driver

Since I own both tools (the DCF885 as backup), I wonder how the run time between the cheapest DeWALT DCF885 and the most expensive Makita XDT16 really is. Both models are still in production.
    No endorsement/sponsorship.
    I bought the kit:
DEWALT 20V Max Impact Driver Kit, 1/4-Inch (DCF885C1)
    amzn.to/3h39Wam
Bare tool only. Like I ordered here.
Makita XDT16Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Quick-Shift Mode 4-Speed Impact Driver, Tool Only
    amzn.to/3h5bznV
One of my trusty impact socket sets as seen:
DEWALT Impact Socket Set, 23-Piece, 3/8" Drive Metric/SAE
    (DWMT74738)

Here in Brazil, DeWalt sells other versions of their tools, (tools with reduced production cost and quality) when compared to versions for the North American and European market versions. Makita, on the other hand, sells international versions that are sold all over the world, and Makita's technical assistance is much easier and less complicated than DeWalt's. That is, it depends on which country we are in, to decide the best brand of tools.

Both are outstanding. I will say Dewalt makes servicing and purchasing parts pretty easy though. Milwaukee is also makes a great impact gun. Great video. Great film work.

Hi, you said you would do this video and you did, very informative and helpful, both impacts are very strong for the size, I’m going to try the Mikita, this 885 is like the 902, looks the same power being 20v it’s stronger, excellently quality video ty so much, Bob,

Thank you, Bob. Makita should come up with a new impact driver (replacement for the XDT16). It's available in Japan already. DeWALT will come up with a new ultra compact 20v impact driver according to some trustworthy sources.

@@Itstartedwithsawdust hi, your very welcome, Dewalt’s 902 is already very strong and very tiny it’s awesome I can’t imagine another driver even more powerful, give Mikita time they heard you lol, ty for your reply, Bob,

@@robertfrate9738 Indeed. My DCF902 video is doing a decent job on views. Makita eventually launched the 40v line in the U.S.. 18v will be stuck with the old battery cells. In case you are into multitools, I plan some videos for late September.

I'm glad you clarified about best and worst...usually have people post makitas worst and compare it to other best not mentioning

    • @Itstartedwithsawdust
      @Itstartedwithsawdust  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Actually, it the cheapest and most expensive. Other channels can do what they believe is best for the viewers. I do my style and leave the bs for others.

I have a old black and decker firestorm impact driver that does the job as my new dewalt 850 does, don't go by these TH-cam comparisons, impact drivers are driving in screws not lags, and brushless is better in nonsense a brushed tool will outlast a brushless tool any day of the week
