Even better value for sure then and got 2 guys in the group with z1000sx that run the road 6 also so defo works nice with that bike for sure, there getting about the same milage too
@@PureEvolution Thanks for the response. I got 10k miles from my Pirelli Angel GT2 (check out my views on that on my channel) and they still have just under 2mm of tread so normally I'd push then a bit longer. However, I'm getting ready for a trip to Scotland in June so new rubber is needed now.

Nice bike! I almost bought one, but got a Ducati V4 Pikes Peak instead. It came with Pirelli Rosso Corsa IV tires and they wore out at 4500 miles. I decided to go with the Road 6 tires and holy cow, do they ride SMOOTH!!! Makes my bike 20% better to ride! For me, the dry traction is also a 10 as I ride hard in the canyons every weekend. The Pirelli's have a very stiff sidewall and come with not much tread on them, so the Road 6 is a FAR SUPERIOR tire overall.
Not just their road 6's their power 6's also have great mileage too I got a little over 11K out of my set. Michelin really hit it out of the park with these tires.
Got them on my gsxr 1100 slab side done 10500 miles! still good and they stick Love them Guessing your getting a BMW s1000rr older model got one they are mental 😊
Should be the go to tyre for anyone for normal road riding. They amazing for mileage. But some just want the slick look.... so their mates dont take the piss.
I’m genuinely surprised on the mileage, ,my previous bike (V Strom 1000) only managed around 5k on the rears that was on 5’s so maybe the 6’s have improved? Everything else yup I agree great tyre, sadly not available (size) for my current ride Tiger 1200.
@@PureEvolution Ah my Tiger 1200 is the GT Pro so only a 19” front 18” rear it’s 100% road focused so I’m looking at Dunlop Roadsmart 4’s to replace the appalling OEM tyres
Just getting 4,000 miles on my Suzuki Bking and the Metal bands are showing. I'm either riding too hard or these are not anywhere near the longevity that was claimed.
Hmm, I put a set of these on my KTM 1090 and had a different experience, could be the weight of the adventure bike though, squared off and done within 3k miles, no tread at all.
Yea i ripped mine up to the wear bar only and didnt help as for a bit of a test i turned TCS off see waht the wear would be like and wow it went fast then turned it back onto 1 and got little more out of tyre so guess its how much power it puts to the wheel at times of load maybe and yea GT version would of been better for that bike
Same here. Flat middle and now, metal bands showing. 4K miles on my 08 Suzuki Bking, 585lb, 104ft lb torque. I'm guessing my heavy torque bike is too much for these tires.
@@matthewtrinh4872 yea most tyres wont stand to that kind of drag strip type ripping with that kinda weight defo need the GT versions and do you ride with TCS off by chance
Thing is, I got the GT version due to the weight of my bike. I have a raw(no electronic riding aid) bike. I do admit I take off hard every now and then.
I’ve honestly no idea how you can get that many miles out of the tyre..I know it’s all about the bike, riding style etc but after having metzler 01 se on my bike (ninja 1000sx) and only getting 3,000 miles out of them when a lot said they would do 8,000 I decided to get Michelin road 6..I’ve got to say there an amazing tyre and I’ve had no issues,I can give it stick on the twisties and never had them let go.i mainly do A road and B road riding but a few motorway miles aswell but I’ve never had a rear last over 5,000 miles and I only got 7,000 out of the front..lasted better than the metzler so I’m sticking with the road 6 but I wish I could get that many miles out of them..just put a new pair on 4 days ago so I’ll see how these go,they better last me the year
If I think correct the ninja sx is about 230 ish kg so you might find that your chewing up tyres more as you need the GT versions that are better suited for heavier bikes also you rip.rear tyres up no.matter what if your TCS is off or on very low settings on sum bikes with that kinda power maybe try some next time round and let me know how you go would he very interested in the mileage differance
I’m curious how much I’d get out of a set of these? I have around 10k miles on my rear tire of s22’s. The OEM s22 barely made it 3k miles and I almost didn’t go with them for replacement but for the price I figured it’s worth a shot. For how much I’m on the highway and doing wheelies. I’m actually shocked at how well they held up. So maybe 15k or more on the road 6?
i normal run when i was touring around 35psi front and back seemed a nice medium and just never change them all tho my machanic noticed my front was little low at 26psi but not been out on bike much since winter times
The road 5’s on my MT09 SP felt terrible. No feedback, felt like a knobby tire on transition. Not confidence inspiring at all. Throwing them away to go back to the S22’s.
@@PureEvolution That makes sense. I was hoping for a lot more longevity with Road 6's over stock but I really only got a few more thousand Km's before squaring off. Still an improvement and no noticeable loss of grip on the road.

Look at your profile, it points to each other. Thats a mistake that Michelin made. All front tires have the wrong ride direction. And everyone is mounting them wrong. I try to contact Michelin bud no luck. Look and let me know what you think. Every other tire brand dont have this.
Hi there i always thought this was mounted the wrong way also, So i looked it up and its got somthing to do with how hydroplaining works from what i understand of it this lets the water get ejected out by force (sucked out almost) with the rotation of the tyre which helps clear water from the contact patch, In a way its so when the water go into the syps and spread into the lardge tread blocks it has no way of filling them up to the point the tyre wants to lift with water Volume. I might be a little off but this is from what i understand of flow dynamics
Thats correct answer. Bud thats when the tire is mounted good. Michelin drive marker on the tire is wrong on almost all tires. On motorcycles And on cars there are also alot off problems like no drive marker at all. Take a look at a set off Bridgestone tires and hold them beside your bike and look at the profile. @@florisnr11 The front tyre does different jobs to the rear this is why some companys choose to switch the pattern on the front as it gives better water clearing and support when trying to turn also this is why the parttern is looking like its going the wrong way but this is intentional
