is your car balanced? lipo vs esc servo motor. are the shocks the same or balanced? each wheel has its own weight/pressure.

How can you add preload without altering the collars? Aren't they what change ride height? Thanks.

do you think you should be checking tweak on off road racing buggies and trucks?

Do you use this in conjunction with a tweak rod?

Yes, you can. However, when I made this video "tweak rods" were not available.. I think.. correct me if I am wrong. ;)

+Edward Pickering do like using the digital scales better then the tweak station

      Good question!
I like using the digital scale when initially setting up my car, because it give me a visual of the weight balance between the front and rear. Ideally you want to achieve a 50/50 weight balance between the front and rear. Once I've set that I use the tweak station from there on out. However, you can sometimes get away without having a weight balance system, because the chassis layout is usually setup to have a relatively close 50/50 weight balance. Keep in mind that each chassis and its design is different. Usually adding 10-20 grams in total will get you close to a 50/50 weight balance. Test and try it out ;)
      Hope that helps.

would you just use scales instead of a tweak station? Seems like they do the same thing...

Digital scales would do one of two things 1)identify each corner weight balance, 2) left to right, front to rear weight distribution. The tweak station is a quick and easy way to identify if the suspension is set correctly.

Mike you are correct, if you calculate the cross weights on the scales you can de tweak this way.
This video is wrong anyway, adding pre-load to the front right is incorrect. With these tweak stations you adjust the diagonal opposite. The front end is pivoting, makes zero sense to adjust the front colar. The rear is what is tweaking the car. You could take the front shocks off and still see the same tweak. He said tighten the front right, the actual requirement is loosen the rear right.
