Big Trouble in Little Backyard

  • This backyard may be small but boy did it need some TLC (no not waterfalls). It had been left during Melbourne's second lockdown (early 2020) and then forgotten about. Luckily, that's what I'm here for. Really enjoyed this one and the clients were over the moon.

    Bless you for not killing the roses. I know it's hard work to weed by hand but it just bothers me when yard guys just whack everything down. Good job!

    I was SHOCKED to see potted plants where one could not see them at all until you cleared away all of those over-grown weeds and grass!! Just amazing and astonishing!! What a wonderful transformation! Great job!! Beautiful!!

    With all the other lawn/garden care videos, I don't know how I missed yours. You did a great job and this was just the "fix" I needed while waiting on the weather to warm up enough to go work in my yard.

    What a transformation!!! You really had your work cut out for you here! Hand weeding garden planters, trimming, raking, blowing off the cement, mowing, as well as rearranging all of those pots! I hope you were paid well for all your efforts!!! Nice job, man!

    I’m so happy you didn’t just tear everything out. Someone had really loved and collected that gardens’ contents and I’m hopeful new owners will try to keep some of the beautiful plants. It could really be a sort of fairyland!

    That could be a magical garden space. You did a fantastic job cleaning it up. Owner should give it a good power washing and it would look cleaner.

    Thank you for clearing out the flower beds instead weed whacking them. Share in the video about the situation that led to the overgrowth. Also arranging pots was touching.TY!

      I always do my best to weed by hand where I can. I also generally try to avoid poison.

      @@earthtrimgardens2249 Well said! Dispite taking precautions, I recently made the mistake of unknowingly getting into poison ivy while weeding. What a nightmare! I am relying on rubbing alcohol to cut the oils, since not much else works. Oh, the problems we get into while doing what we love!

    Cleaning flower beds is my forte, i love seeing the plants not hindered by grass and weeds, all i use in the beds is a hand trowel which can be very time consuming, but very rewarding!

    Wow, a lot of bending and stooping. My knees hurt watching you 😁. I used to have a lot of planters, being a gardener, then one day I just picked them all up, gave them away, and now only have maybe 6-8 pots left. Sometimes we gardeners get a little carried away with pots....lol. You did a great job, looking forward to your next video.

    its a nice little garden, but taken as trash area, like lot people do. But garden is for relaxing. best humus, you can do in herbs or flowers. good job.

    The patio is so small there’s no need to have grass. If the owner likes pot planting, you can make a beautiful patio with hard floor. It can be easier to maintain.

    Well done on the TIDY up.... I see shrubs I do not recognize, Lantana maybe, a citrus tree maybe, roses or mallow or hibiscus could not tell....

    Nice job and I did appreciate the way you respected the plants. 😊😊 However, you need to improve recording to go beyond small parts of the soil loosing the understanding of the garden as a whole. Thanks!

    If it's cold enough to have to wear a heavy jacket like that while doing physical labor, it's too cold for euphorbias. The ones in the pots are dying. They're not like cacti, they can't winter over in the garden if it gets down into the 40s or lower.
