Mr . Wakeman is a treasure! And he says correctly that the recordings capture a moment in time. As a person that works with sound in the entertainment industry I appreciate very much the sound of recordings made in the 70s.
Saw myths and legends live on ice at Wembley. Positively peak prog. Travelled down from Scotland for it. Amazing that we’re both still going strong many years later 😀
Still as good today as he was when he was with YES which i was lucky to see them before it ran it's course & there's no denying just how awesome Yessongs was both the film & the album. Legends !!!
Rick Wakeman is a world treasure… I grew up in the 70s so when I think of crazy keyboard solos, that’s the guy that I think of and I got to see him couple of times yes in Louisville.. the first time in 1980 I think it was they were in the round.. it was the local radio stations 102nd concert that they promoted WLERS102… one of my best concerts I’ve ever witnessed

The reason I'm sending this it's because of my Uncle Javier: He's the greatest Rick Wakeman fan I've ever met. He introduced me to the world of Rick Wakeman and I'm very thankful. He learned to play the piano thanks to Rick Wakeman. He named his first son, my Cousin, Arturo because of "Myths & Legends....", Unfortunatly, he died in a car accident 15 years ago. Also his wife passed away about 6 months ago and he's feeling kinda lonely nowadays. I know Mr. Wakeman it's in the middle of the tour, but if he could only share a couple words with my Uncle it would cheer him big time. If only there's a possibility to meet him everywhere you want, maybe in the hotel lobby, at the soundcheck or we can invite Mr. Wakeman to have lunch. Thank you very much for reading these lines. Hey Robin….still waiting for my box set in vinyl….I paid my money 1 Sept 2023… it has been pushed forward twice… will I receive it 29 June 2024 as promised? I hope so….. P.S. I love Rick’s playing!!
Today,(March 28th), the release of this boxed set was postponed for the SIXTH TIME...to April 26th. This is now more than one year after fans paid £250(and U.S.A. fans such as myself paid $330-$350). If these discs can't be manufactured, it is long overdue to find some compromise, such as supplying the audio materials as downloads. The efforts to manufacture this set have repeatedly ended in failure. In my almost 58 years of collecting recorded music (I started my collection in August 1966, at age 10), this boxed set project is the most stressful experience that I've ever had. It is a bummer. Even a refund would be problematic. In my year of waiting , my credit card number was changed(after I misplaced my card). The card that I charged this purchase with is no longer valid.
When April 26th arrives, the set still won't be released. and the 7th postponement will be announced, with more lame excuse-making. I'm in the U.S.A., so there's nothing much I can do, but be assured, that the bad karma that has been created will come back to Music Glue(d/b/a "Rick Wakeman Music Emporium"), RRAW Enterprises Ltd.,compiler Robin Baxter Ayling and musician Rick Wakeman. This situation will end badly: with prosecution from consumer protection authorities or litigation from UK consumers. These individuals and companies will get what they deserve.
Despite a new introduction from the compiiler, it's the same fake "unboxing" video in which Rick Wakeman "unboxes" a plain white mock-up with no discs whatsoever.
A musician of average talent, he disguises his absence by wearing extravagant clothes and piling up equipment he doesn't even use, repeating predictable steps and making faces and mouths as if he were giving his ass. But there are a legion who applaud, thinking they seem more intelligent for it. I doubt anyone really enjoys this monotony.
