I do love to hear a fretless bass, and that bassist plays superbly. Rick, of course, is magnificent. I had not seen this before; thank you for posting.

Im just blown away. Im a musician myself, but his skills of playing Keys is so extremely outstanding, i just wanna sell all my Gear and stop trying. This is so unreachable.

Impresionante.

    Thank you!
Great performance together with Paton, I didn't know his nice guitar side.
1984 is one of my favourite albums, so that was a grand finale!

Very glad RW ensured his Life has been well-documented all these years. A real treasure - and so astonishing that he wrote so many large pieces before he was even 25 yrs old. What had any of us actually ACCOMPLISHED by the time each of us was 25 yrs old ?!?

I ruled the world for ren years between the ages of 15 and 25, but I became tired of it and invented a machine to erase the memory of my reign from the minds of everyone on the planet. Those were the days.

When playing Eleanor Riggby solo, Rick used to play it double the speed. Here you can notice that he can´t stand it and tries to "drag" the guitar to his comfort zone.

Good performance, but I just hate the digital piano sound that he is using on the Korg synth here, its very flat and undynamic, which is to be expected from a sample based synth from this era. I wish he played on a real piano instead, because Wakeman do have a really musical touch to his playing which this korg m1 based piano sound does not bring to justice.

That’s really quite unkind. I feel sorry for you having to get your kicks by seeking out thing others enjoy and leaving spiteful comments. Not a great use of time on planet Earth.

@@NROS2012 B"H /Comments are for people to say opinions.I followed Rick wakeman ince 1968 and the music he made that i enjoyed was few and far between. he is an amazing musician, composer, father, human but with the sheeer ammount of work he produced, little was worth my time. I think that his teaming up with chris squire in 1967 was a vast mistake. he wasted his best work on them. NOW, about negativity: After 69 years on earth, I see almost always good things. We give 20% of our meager earnings to charities. we raised 8 children to adulthood, 7 were our own biological and no one else WANTED them so we kept them well fed, educated and healthy. ALSO our Rav asked us to take in an orphan one of 12 kids whom their father was a long time friend of ours. We raised the boy for years as our own. In worldly things even the pain and troubles we are taught to see the good in it all. We asumme that all troubles bring a better good. I was simply stating my opinion. MOTZART for example turned out an amazing reperotoire of music in a short time. Wakeman has had some 75 years and lets face it, the good stuff is few and far between. No, i don't follow Johnny Depp's trial or anything that Hollyweird has to offer. nor have I ever played a computer or digital game, you know, the kind where you massacre 76 people within 30 seconds...sorry

    • @RasMajnouni
      @RasMajnouni 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@NROS2012 You can say those exact words to yourself...since i commeneted on a body of music he made in 70 years. YOURS is negative also, BUT I agree that we might need critique and"negativity" in comments?

His knowledge of harmonics exceeds by far that of most rock keyboard players. No doubt, he has published some second class recordings too. Newertheless, he is supreme to most. And very entertaining at times.

Brilliant man and musician. He hasn't lost a touch either as I can attest to that after seeing him perform 2 weeks ago. He hasn't lost that God given talent one bit. He's hilarious too telling jokes and his priceless stories in between songs and about the songs. Brilliant man that deserves all the accolades given to him and much more.
