What about when Arthur was a fish and when he was also a squirrel? Sure, he eventually used magic to solve the problems, but Arthur had to figure out how to escape the Pike fish and the girl squirrel without Merlin’s help.
Looking back at him as a grown up, he's just this smart guy trapped in the dark ages, souranded by savages and trying to have fun and teach a kid some proponer sense
What always makes me question that though is he tells Wart magic isn't going to solve anything, but uses magic to teach him and show off and when things don't go his way it is Archemedes that basically sticks by the boy, begrudgingly, but tries to teach him some basics.

He was so mád he was gonna curse the boy or something and instead said "Im out" and he seemed shocked that his magic was actually making him fly away. Also he later came back. If I had to theorise, I'd say the guy is extremly powerful and knows from experience that its imprtant to learn self control first... but maybe Im reading too much into it

That was always one of my favourite Disney movies. I usually dont really like them, but this one here is somehing special. No princesses, no cheesy singing, a different subject. Merlin is one of the funniest characters and so underrated.

CONFOUND IT CONFOUND IT ALL." 4.) "Best Room in the vastle. Guest Room, guest room!" 5.) the wizard duel "MIM MIM...." i know im leaving out a few.... In my opinion this is the greatest Disney movie of all time. I laughed more at this movie than any two Disney movies put together. Far too underrated for as good as it is..
