    • @msmith3407
      @msmith3407 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Exactly. This was due to the power vacuum created when Angelo Bruno got killed a few months beforehand.
      FUN FACT: Do you know who Angelo Bruno's driver was on the night of his assasination? None other than John Stanfa! Legend days he was in on it and even lowered the car windows so the shooter had a better shot.
      Years later, Stanfa led the NYC-backed faction of the Philly mob in the 90's when they went to war with Joey Merlino's "young Turks" crew.
      Joey Merlino's father and uncle were both Capos for Nicky Scarfo. Once Scarfo went to jail in the mid 80's things really spiraled out of control in Philly.

      That’s why the term “civil servant” is such a joke. Yes most are there to do an important job that needs to be done like the police, EMT and fire, but the ranking officers and the politicians ride a gravy train that is often corrupt. When I graduated from HS 45 years ago nobody with any ambition went to work for the government and now government employees have lapped average Americans in pay and benefits not to mention an early guaranteed retirement.

    1-By the way, it's very interesting that some of the mafia hails from Sicily which for centuries had Spanish kings (Aragoneses) and viceroys.
    2-And Hispania was the most Roman of provinces too; that not England for example, which was Roman for like 300 years, but never so according to Hellywood and public education tales to the contrary.
    3-Now you know the rest of the story, just dated myself...Shema!!!
