- Here is my flight review of the Dynam P-47D Thunderbolt 1220mm (bit.ly/DymP47). This is a really good and forgiving flying warbird that will easily fly for 10+ minutes on 4 cells. Though not as pre-fabricated as some other warbirds out there, assembly is simple and enjoyable and it comes as a blank canvas which provides opportunities for customization. At the heart of it, I used a Spektrum AR620 receiver (bit.ly/SpkAR620) which works great! Spektrum file download available at thercgeek.com/... #HunHunter #P47Thunderbolt #ScaleModel

I wish they made a Razorback version. I'd buy that one for sure. I'd also replace the ESC and servo's before the first flight. I own Dynam and their electronics stink. I like Dynam's models and price point but they are a modelers aircraft. Great video/content/and flying! AirHammer out!!
Great flight my friend and perfect landing. The bird looks really interesting. Think I will click on this baby and try it on our runway. Big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
Thanks Robert! This bird should operate from your field without any problems at all. Super forgiving flyer!
@@Thercgeek I have decited that we will test a few Dynam birds in the future. The price is great and somethimes you can be really surprissed. The plane with the most flights last year was in fact Dynam Waco. I just love that baby. Cheers
Nice!
Oh yeah, I would love to see you guys fly this.
@@PetrincicBrosRC You're going to make me buy another plane, aren't you, Pilot Robert?
*salute*
Nice flying plane and it looks really nice too! Perfect size to throw in most any vehicle without taking it apart, which is cool. Great job Chris!
Awesome, can't wait for Mine!
The drop tank looks like a perfect place to put a 3D printed external battery holder? Hint,, Hint!
You fly like the rest of Us wanna, great stuff Yank.
Thanks. Picking this up cheap near new so can't complain. Hate the green on top but that's easily fixed with tape and airbrush. Probably only decals I'll use will be the stars and bars and otherwise just custom paint scheme. Hope the servos hold up.
Nice!
I have always loved the jug! Nice job!
Such a classic shape!
That is a great flying airplane for the money. I've had it for two years and it is getting a refinish this month. I typically fly with 4500 mAh battery packs and have done over 20 minutes of touch and goes. Great to practice approaches with or throw in the back of the car and fly at a park. Callie Graphics are showing up Friday hopefully!
Nice!
You always got to stay till the end to get that out take clip! Nice flying Chris!
Thanks man! Gotta throw those outtakes in when I have them! 🤣
CHRIS I put invasion stripes on mine and it looks awesome. I wish mine had a little more vertical too even a little more speed would be cool. Nice Flying BROTHER 👍🏼😎✌🏼
Thanks man! I bet that looks great with the invasion stripes
Beautiful plane and great flying and explanation Chris, nice work 👍🏼👍🏼👊🏼
Thanks man!
Awesome flight
Love the Dynam P-47!!! I pretty much have used it as a trainer along w/Trojan.👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
It’s a great warbird trainer for sure!
I got a question: The new Avanti V3 has a control box mounted inside and behind bay and looks like it slides into a groove. If you have one look at it. I tried pulling it out but afraid to pull too hard. Can it come out? I would like to put landing light on gear like FWF-15 on it. Do you think that control board would have a place for landing light? Maybe even come on when down and off when up.👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Sweet flyer!
I was just curious when you mentioned your Father and Jet Hanger, was that the Jet Hangar in Lakewood (my hometown)?
Yes sir!
Nothing like a Dynam build. Well... Durafly is close. I actually enjoy them. I feel like I’ve accomplished something.
It was pretty fun to assemble. Packaging was interesting with everything being in separate boxes.
The RC Geek I bought the FW 190 1600mm 6 months ago. No manual, no directions, couldn’t find a TH-cam video on the build. Just sat in the basement and figured it out.
The funny thing is, I didn’t remember the FW-190 being a pushprop.... (LOL!)
The RC Geek Oh no, not the dreaded double box! That’s like an Easter Egg for parts and screws.
Mine flies on two 4 cell in Parallel 4500 MAH Lipos. A little extra weight a MR RC Sound Aspire & 2-Transducers with a HOBBYEAGLE A3 V2 3-Axis Airplane AVCS Gyro Stabilizer . I find it flys better with a 2 blade prop. Nice Vid Chris Say high to your Father 4 me.
Nice! I did fly this with a 14x7 2blade prop, but it wasn’t markedly different. I needed to have bumped up the pitch I think.
I'm torn on which to add to my collection first; this, the Corsair or the spitfire...
It looks fun to fly. I wonder if it's as forgiving as the p51.
I’ve only flown the Dynam p47 and Corsair and they’re both extremely forgiving flyers.
great flight Nice JUG Paint the yellow on thats what i did this plane is almost like a low wing Trainer
Take Care
Good point! Trying to wrap those stickers on wouldn’t have worked out that well. 😉
Butta'd that landing!! Sweet.
She's like buttah!
Hi Chris, do you think it could run with a 3S 2200 mAh?
I don't think a 3s will give this the power it needs for flight. Definitely recommend using a 4s pack.
For perfect CG, which 4 cell 2600 3300 battery should I use?
With either of those batteries, you will need to add weight in the nose to get the proper cg. If you saw in the video, even with a 4s 5000 pack I had to add nose weight.
"A touch more Vertical" I really don't understand why everyone wants a Scale WARBIRD to fly like a Sport flyer or 3D job. It's a SCALE War Bird it should fly like one. JMHO. One could always convert the Motor Speed Control and Lipo to 6 cells. It'll have Vertical then.
Haha, a touch more vertical is just that, just a little bit more. Not 3d performance by any stretch. 😉. Just my personal preference. I think with the right 2blade prop, it would probably give that little bit more.
@@Thercgeek yeah we switched to a 2 blade apc on bentleys dynam corsair (uses same prop as p47) flies better..a lil more performance and even more flight time lol
@@Thercgeek a 13x8 double blade propeller worked better on mine for more speed and climb performance.
Expo good.
The Eflite P-47 seems much faster... is that correct?
Yes, the eflite has quite a bit more performance to this one, especially on 4s.
Looks good in the air... tossed between the Dynam P-47 and Hellcat.... anyone?
I haven’t flown the hellcat. Looks pretty cool. If it flies anything like the jug, I don’t think you could go wrong with either one.
How would you rate this next to its E-Flite 1200mm counterpart?
Love the channel--you're one of my go-to's.
Thanks man! The performance of the eflite is quite a bit more and is more prefabricated with a little better components, but also is more expensive. I think this one is a little more forgiving in the air actually. Slows up a little nicer having a little bit more wing to it.
It’s actually a great plane except under 40 degrees the retracts don’t work
Oh, interesting! Rarely gets that cold here.
You going to crash that one to 😮
🤦♂️
I know you have gotten lower then that. Lol
Indeed! Haha
