Repairing Neighbor Al's Rusty Water Pipes

- In this video, neighbor Al and I repair the rusty water pipes under his off grid cabin in the woods. After discovering a slow flow of water to his kitchen faucet, we decided it was time to replace the rusty old iron pipes from the original build of his cabin (1977). Using PEX pipe, we crawl underneath his cabin and replace the old iron pipe with new brass tees, shutoffs and high quality crimps. After finishing this project, Al has better water flow through his faucets from his gravity fed, natural spring water source.
Thanks for watching!

These days it's rare for the young to want to help the old(er) people. You are a good soul.
Jeez he's 80+ under the sink cranking wrenches .. amazing.
If you think that's impressive, you should watch the last video of those two, where Al was skiing for hours like he was 20 years old, after 25 years of no skiing! Amazing!
Nothing better than learning from our elders and helping them where we can. I have many many elder teachers.
Al has found a good neighbor in you. The world needs more of them!
Diego, you are such a nice, kind guy helping Al out.
I love seeing you guys together like pals ✊🏻🙏🏻rare . But blessed 🙏🏻😊
This is what humanity is all about. The young generation being taught by the older generation while helping the old with tasks that may be too labor intensive for them. Sad this isn't more common, but keep spreading the positivity!!
Not only are you a friend to Al but you are adding to his quality of life! Well done you man!
You are a swell dude Diego. I'm guessing you probably receive more from Al than he does you. What a wonderful friendship the 2 of you have.
Love watching you two work together in this beautiful setting. You make a great team.
I am over the top impressed by both of you. I have only been subscribed for a short time. I was going to ask about your back story, but I see you have posted a video. Thank you so much for what you do. I am 71 years old and do not know what I would do without the younger people in my life. Especially my daughter. Much love to you.
I don't even know how i found out about you, but i do know i like the content. Greetings from the Netherlands!
I am so impressed with how well you work everything out. You do a great job every time. I want to say too, your Mom must be Very Proud to have such a Son. Also your connection with your neighbor Al is an amazing example of your loving caring nature. You are so Blessed to have each other in your lives. Carry on my friend.
You two radiate good energy. Being a blessing to each other will pay off in so many ways. God bless.

I absolutely love seeing your projects, I wish I was there to help.
So very cool that you went over to Al's to help him with his hot and cold water pipes , always very nice to help our neighbours where we can. loved watching you two working together found the plumbing interesting. I have to do the same at my home. what a great video
What a wonderful friendship ❤
There’s community right there. History evolves and is more rich with all generations working together which is why the Amish communities work so well. How ever with the internet bringing people together like these two and a willingness to embrace ordinary life as it evolves I want to see more stories like these. 🙏🏽
Diego, keep up with these videoes! So calming and good quality. Love it!
What a great team. How fortunate to have such a wonderful relationship with neighbours. Greetings from Aus 💚
Yes it’s a rarity even in Aus. It’s wonderfull to enjoy helping one another. I hope you both can enjoy this friendship for some time to come.

Very best regards from the sinking good old germany.
I live just north of Olympia and have been wanting to work on an off grid cabin for years. I enjoy your videos and it’s awesome you could help your neighbor out. You could tell how much it meant to him. I subscribed and liked. I’m jealous of the hands on experience you have been getting lol.
Pretty cool shape Phil and it sure do look like a nice wood to turn
Nice and meaningful job!
Wouldnt a simple settling filter on the spring pipe a nice addition to prevent clogging? At least if there is a filter which doesn't require cleaning to often.
New to the channel. You seem like a great genuine friend and your chemistry with Al is 10/10. I'm subbed now thanks for great content keep it up 👍🏻
pretty cool what you do for your neighbours. god bless.
You are a great help to him,,,
A small torch to the poly and it’ll slide right over the fittings effortlessly.
You a good man and he's a kool man and reminds me of me i probably wont make 80 but still kicking just not as hard
Nice
Like these videos so much it’s my 3ed time lol
I’ve gotten into the habit of taking a picture of my problem plumbing or electrical with my cell phone to compare when I “gofer” fittings.
ur a good dude
God Bless
dude you should make an outdoor kitchen area and nearby hot tub heated by that wood stove
You are a fu%^ing animal! He is very lucky to have you as a neighbor. Keep up the great videos brother. Loyal viewer
Given the flow you got from the hose bib I would expect the sink to flow at a higher volume. I’m not a plumber though.
I know ! I know Diego left wishing he could have changed out that faucet. I really wish he would have allowed him to. If it's not the faucet, something is being overlooked. That flow doesn't make any sense.
At 65 and live off grid with my wife it gets harder every year !
YOU ARE SO SWEET!
Bonjour Je découvre ta chaîne de France
C est à la fois plaisant et intéressant à regarder
Bonne continuation
Vous êtes dans quel état des États Unis?
Stephane
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Let Al knees ON the pillow. His old Bones might be in pain.😅
Question what is he doing about his lines freezing in winter ?
Dang your more a maintenance man to Al at this point. 😂 Its all good i would to the same to a guy with a great war stories. Help your elders everyone.
What size was the PEX pipe that you were using to repair the plumbing?
!/2" I think
all and i would be best friends he reminds me of my dad
How does the water pressure works from the spring to the house?
Gravity
Seems like a battery operated PEX pipe crimper would've been helpful here. I prefer not to do stuff like that manually. Wastes energy.
