with that glasses i saw in all quiet on western front, when the soldiers were issued their equipment the main character (i forgot name) got normal glasses but with string at back
Actual wear looks the best in the end, that is true. I see weathering and ageing as a tool to give the gear a head start, but they certainly need some more use than just that head start. Thank you very much!
I agree, artificially ageing your gear could actually damage and shorten the life of it. Just wear it in the field or while doing yard work. I'm sure during the war, new recruits didn't age and weather their new gear so they could look cool. The mix between new and old gear gives you an unique and historically correct look. Keep up the great videos!
