I was born in Peru and moved the the U.S. when I was 3, lost touch with my culture but recently i've been researching more about my home country and I really loved this video! The city, the coastline, the art, the food, i'm about to go back to experience it all myself! ^^
That sounds like a wonderful project. Would recommend visiting sometime if you can as there is so much to do in Peru and diversity in cuisine, landscape and culture in different parts of the country.

Ah, that is cool to hear! You can do a lot in 17 hours! You may not be able to eat all of the food we've suggested but you can certainly see a lot of the city.

Nice video, I was browsing through TH-cam for some Lima videos to get nostalgic (Puente de los Suspiros, miss going out in Barranco so much.) I used to live in Lima but haven't been there since 2014, they do have the best cuisine in South America by far, and one of my favorites in the world in general. Especially ceviche and all the seafood, anticuchos, rocoto relleno and causa, and all the Peruvian-Asian fusion foods (chifa, the Peruvian Japanese food.) Those insta-sauces in a bag at the mercados are great. I used those all the time for pollo saltado. And Pisco Sour is the best, Maracuyá Sour too. Don't really like Chilcano. Thanks for the vid, although I'm super hungry now and frustrated at not having access to those dishes haha.

Instead of Punto Azul, you should try El Escondite del Gordo. Is in San Isidro too, and besides the Seafood that they offer, which is delicious, they also do a fusion of seafood and chifa. For example, Chaufa de Pescado or Wantan filed with shred crabs (I don't exactly, but it tastes like that). And also, one plus of this restaurant is that they serve double the portion than in Punto Azul, well not exactly, but more. Great Video btw. Thank you for visiting Lima! Grettings.
