Good video, Peru has many places to visit such as the Sierra, Jungle and other places on the coast, each with its own gastronomy, history and landscapes
@@rungsiyasopa2101 thanks! We were there late March/early April I think. The weather was very nice, most days we were fine with pants and a shirt and a light sweatshirt sometimes. Hope you have a good visit!
Great video on all the places to visit in Lima Peru, thank you so much. I will be in Lima Peru in January 2024 on a medical outreach trip and vacation. I am trying to plan an itinerary on places to visit, are you able to see everything in your video in one day or will it take more than one day?
Thank you! That's awesome that you'll be visiting Lima soon (I'm assuming you meant January 2025, not 2024).Hypothetically you could do all of this in one day, however I do not recommend it because you will be running around a little bit too much. But here is how I would schedule it. Morning - go to the Historic Center, walk around the main plazas and explore a bit Later Morning/Early Afternoon - take an Uber to the Larco Museum Afternoon - take an uber to Barranco neighborhood, explore the main areas Late Afternoon/Evening - walk from Barranco to Miraflores down the Malecon during sunset. Stop at the Larcomar along the way
Love this informative video! Would've been very helpful if you specified how you got around to all these places. Is there public transportation? Thanks!
Thanks so much! We got around by walking and using Uber. I believe there is public transportation, but we liked walking around neighborhood to neighborhood and Uber is very affordable.
Great video! I'm planning a trip to Peru in a couple of months and can't decide between staying in Miraflores or Barranco. Do you have any recommendations? Also, are people still wearing masks in Peru, or is this old footage?
I would personally prefer to stay in Barranco - we stayed in Miraflores and it was perfectly fine, but I preferred the vibes in Barranco. And people are not wearing masks in Peru now I believe
Don’t walk around these places at night! You got lucky. Married into the culture. Been there over 20 times. Very nice people and awesome country. However, walking there at night is gambling with your life. Only in groups and or with a local. Leave Lima and try the smaller city’s. Much safer and more interesting than Lima
Thanks for the comment! Looking back on it, there was a moment in one of my videos where a van pulled up to us during the night and stayed until they saw we were recording. I knew that Lima can be unsafe in some places, but I didn’t think I needed to worry in areas like Miraflores in well lit areas
Just bought my ticket to Peru. Staying in Lima and then Cusco and Machu Picchu! Thanks for the recommendations!
How did you like it?

@@WanderlustWellman Great advice on accessing these locations. As a user of public transport, is there a specific metro card available?
