So glad we kept him as our backup. That's been a problem with my Bears the last decade or so is that we haven't had a capable backup QB. Justin's playing style, and lack of an O Line, leaves him susceptible to injury, so having a good backup makes me extremely happy.
I am a sucker for IPPP players and international Gridiron football players in general. I love hearing all of the different stories of how they came to play football and their long journey to the NFL If yall want a guy to keep an eye on, Hidetora Hanada was one of the best young sumo wrestlers in recent memory, and he quit sumo to play d-line for Colorado State with the goal of eventually becoming the first Japanese born player to make a regular season NFL roster.
I loved watching Lou Hedley at Miami. A friend of mine shared a class with him his senior year, the real long shot was him not getting injured the summer he worked in the green house based on the stories I heard
Lou reminds me of the Welsh soccer player who played NFL kicker in the movie "The Replacements" (starred Keanu Reeves). Smoking a ciggie while kicking a field goal. I hope Lou does well. Great program as always, Brandon. Here's to all them Irish players. 🍺
@@tryhardfinessedyoudepends on if you think a birth certificate means more than genealogy. There are more people of Irish descent in the US than there is in the rest of the world combined. Kirkpatrick is too. So are Fitzpatrick and Mahomes!
I entered the nfl at 26. Got season tickets to the Packers after waiting 26 years on the wait list. Thanks Dad! My contract sucks i pay them but working on it.

Bagent (pronounced Bay-gent) lit up the Colts. In joint practices he went 3 for 3 in redzone situations and then scored a 4th consecutive time on them in the actual game. Outside of a pick in game 3 he looks steady. Most preseason low end cut qbs look rushed, flustered and their offenses look hectic. He was in control at all times on the field. Pocket breaking down? Doesn't matter because the ball was consistently out on time, as soon as he he hits his back foot he knows where he wants to go and puts the ball there. He can move too. I'd rather he not play because that'd mean Fields is either hurt or sucking, but I like the guy and the upside he's shown, theres no way they could've let him his waivers. Also the kids dad is a professional arm wrestler multiple time champion, with both arms.
I got to see IPPP Raiders FB Jakub Johnson play for the Stuttgart Scorpions a few years back. He was playing LB at the time and was one of the best players on the field, and I'm so happy that he made it with the Patriots and the Raiders!
Brandon: "The style of football that Justin Fields plays right now suggests Tyson has a legit chance to start some games" *proceeds to show two plays where players went through the line unblocked
@@ELIJAHNUBOYDI'm also starting to think Ed Oliver is a dirty player. Helmet to helmet shot on Fields here. In the pre season game, on the broken screen where Fields had to run, when he was getting his leg twisted to bring him down, if Fields hadn't decided to just go down, Oliver was coming out like a torpedo at Fields head. I'm sure he does that shit to other QBs as well. He doesn't play to tackle the QB, he's deliberately trying to injure them.
On behalf of those of us from Perth... the big rock isn't actually in WA 😅😅😅 It's in the NT where Crocodile Dundee is from. Also, don't knock the scaffolders. Depending on if he was working locally or remotely he could have been making big dollars up north.
Mason Brooks is a guard that signed an UDFA contract with the Commies this year, he and I used to play 6 man football together in high school… he was our ONLY lineman at one point
As a Shepherd Alumni . . . I saw Tre Sullivan play Safety and Corner and was special. Also managed to snag an Eagles jersey with his name and number on it. Tyson is special since he is (hopefully) the best prospect we have gotten to the NFL. I hope at least he gets a chance as a backup, or at least as a Spring League starter. Also as a Shepherd Alumni, we don't take ourselves too seriously either. We are proud about football, but know our place in D2. We're more of a medical school than anything else. That dude CJ looks like an adult attacking a kid when he was sacking that Rams QB..... Man what do they eat down in Nigeria? I've eaten their food and it's pretty tasty, a little spicy, but it never made me grow that big
The 49ers have used the IPP on an offensive lineman because he's a good locker room presence. Alfredo Gutierrez. He led the team out of the locker room at the Mexico City game last season.
Michael Lewis was Budweiser truck driver who made the Saints roster…guy didn’t even play college football but was talked into trying out when they saw his speed in a flag football league
My hometown school of CSU-Pueblo getting mentioned in a Brandon Perna video might be their biggest accomplishment…even bigger than their national championship
Maybe not the longest shot since he was a 4 star recruit out of high school but Devon Allen tore his ACL in the rose bowl and quit football to run pro track for 6 years. He made the eagles practice squad last season and will probably be a returner this year
At this point, I feel like all your draft spot means is just what you’re gonna make on your contract. You have 1st rounders that end up being terrible, you have undrafted players who become pro bowlers or even hall of famers for that matter. I don’t invest any stock in draft positions anymore.
This gives me some hope fr, I had a lot of bs going on in life but i still wanna play ball, ill be 27 next year but im working hard to walk onto a juco then transfer to a bigger school.
That big rock, Uluru, is in the Northern Territory (if you look at the map you had up again its the upper middle territory outlined). So yeah, Western Australia is morneor less just Perth and an excuse to beach in the Indian Ocean.
lou headly not being a rugby player in australia is the most surprising thing about him to me as an australian, since rugby is much more similar to american football than australian football is. then again an australian rules player is probably a much better option as punter thana rugby player, so there is that.

That big rock that you mentioned when talking about the Aussie guy is called Uluru and is in the Northern Territory not Western Australia, still a good video though, especially from a Broncos fan lol 😂
im not how people dont know, but tyson bagents dad, travis, is one of the best arm wrestlers in historys. the dude literally couldnt loose with his left arm.
Most of the guys like Tony Romo and others that were also pro prospects in other sports in addition to football were only “long shots” because NFL teams were concerned they would choose another sport.
Don't sell Sheperd short, they have TWO players in the NFL. Undrafted rookie OL Joey Fisher, cut by San Francisco on Tuesday is signed to the Carolina (iirc) practice squad.

As someone who played against Tyson Bagent this past year I’m letting y’all know right now he’s really like that
Saw him live at Soldier Field. I feel great having him in our QB room.
He has a tough road to starter, Fields would have to get hurt really
So glad we kept him as our backup. That's been a problem with my Bears the last decade or so is that we haven't had a capable backup QB. Justin's playing style, and lack of an O Line, leaves him susceptible to injury, so having a good backup makes me extremely happy.
