- I decided to transform this driveway when I was doing the next door neighbor's driveway. Theirs drained onto this one and I didn't want to leave this one dirty. So, I knocked on the door and offered to clean it up completely free.
I got started and didn't realize how BIG the driveway actually was. It was also really difficult because of a massive drainage problem towards the back of the surface.
However, the homeowner has been struggling with it for a while and was STUNNED with the results.

Each time: What's wrong with people these days? I just can't get over how little appreciation the owners show for such incredible help. You should be beyond grateful. At least I would be if I was given such a gift.
Agreed, I would’ve been so elated and made sure he at least left with something, whether it be a meal or money or something! Anytime I’ve been given great customer service, I get so happy because it’s not very common these days!
I'm just guessing but I wonder if they are still waiting for the catch like a surprise bill or obligation or something.
People don't trust people that is it. And most people aren't going to offer a complete stranger a meal and let them come into their home. A bottle of water or something is fine. I do concrete and construction and get offered food and drink all the time, but we always decline it.
What video were you guys watching? In THIS video, at the end, the home owner said he liked how the job turned out.
@@janboll7174 That isn't the point people are making here -- it is the short thank you and the quick retreat back into the house which is the issue. There should be more expressed appreciation for quality work and time which they are getting for free -- they are probably embarrassed by their own lack of initiative they don't know how to respond appropriately.
Is water wet? Yes. Awesome transformation? Yes. Made the house look new.
I love that you also clean the mailboxes, which always seem to be a mossy mess!

I often wonder how many miles you walk cleaning these huge driveways, walkways and curbing! Great job, Spenser.
I have been power washing around our house for the last 9 years. I do it at the beginning of Spring every year. It is one of my favourite things to do as it is such a rewarding feeling seeing the transformation and freshening things up.

Great job as usual My only comment would be I can't believe people aren't more gracious and thankful but I guess people are the way they will be... I'm not focusing on these folks at all but overall it seems like you get some people that go overboard thanking you which is appropriate but most others really in my opinion don't seem to thank you enough.,. I'll have to chalk it up to them being shell shocked that you're so generous and considerate to do this for folks... Know that you are loved and appreciated here in the King household for all that you do for others It really is a great show of kindness and true humanity to be so generous and giving of your time and talents. It looks like that driveway was expanded. It was done incorrectly with no consideration for drainage.
As usual a great job on the driveway and sidewalk. Question: why not rinse the mud off the approach to the driveway down the gutter a little so their car doesn't track it back on the nice clean surface?

Now for the Pooling of water in the back, my opinion is that I would of started at garage & went towards the street,
constantly pushing it downward! But Homeowner was pleased because it Looks Good & it was Free!!

Power washing might look like it’s easy but I can tell you I’m a 71-year-old woman who spent three days power washing her driveway and sidewalks and here it is almost 2 weeks later I am crippled by my back

I hear you! I bought a new surface cleaner on wheels last summer (about $100). Made a huge difference in the time it took although I still had to go back over it with the nozzle. I also have to remember to keep looking up so i don't get a bad crick in my neck!
@@CypressThinking I have the accessory that has a circular device that rotates around the pavement with a circular brush and I love it but still in all I can’t imagine doing everything without that
