Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 was TOTALLY different on Xbox

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X was an Xbox-exclusive version of the game that packed in all of the maps from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 along with 5 exclusive levels and some new features that the other consoles never got.

I mean back in the early 2000s people played the same old game for years and its not as cut throat as THPS3 is coming out, that and 4 even came also out on the PS1.
2x had 2.5 games essentially.

@coments101 Back then we were also children so a lot of stuff felt novel and unique. Today we have played every typical game out there. The only thing i miss from the old days is splitscreen co op.

@@zukodude487987 true, arcades were the original version. The 2000's was the sweet spot in gaming where you weren't getting fucked, arcades were less popular and that shit didn't exist yet.

Play thug pro, you get every map between all the pro skaters, up until project 8.

People should play THUG Pro but I have a pretty big problem with it NO CAREER MODE that's why reTHAWed is my go to for an upgrade mod that reintegrates online and adds more maps to the game it has everything THUG Pro has it's in the wasteland engine and it still has Career and Classic Mode available in its entirety with the intent of porting the careers of older titles to the game as well to make one super game

I liked this port enough. I thought the colors were a little darker, but I think it's an Xbox thing as a whole. I prefer the Dreamcast version for play, but this is in Dolby Digital and sounds nice

The biggest problem with this game was how floaty the air time was, as if the gravity was lower. In THPS2, you couldn't do the 900 on default stats, but on 2x, not a problem. Oh, and its additional maps are just not worth it. Oil rig on the other hand somehow survived up until American Wasteland.

To be fair Oil Rig in Wasteland is actually really fun thanks to the way that it was tweaked to actually flow personally I think out of all the bonus levels Night Club is probably the best one I'd rather have that Matt Hoffman demo though

​@@NotThatJonesShow Getting to the Oil Rig and being able to go back and STILL access it in American Wasteland was so good. And doing a SPINE TRANSFER from WAY UP on the rig into the sewer was SOOO DAMN COOL to see especially when the camera zoomed out and went into slow-motion 🔥🔥🔥 i wish all new games had that imaginative experimental element to them of just HAVING FUN

Is there a 2x version for PC, too? I saw a THPS game some years ago that seemed to include all characters and maps from every former THPS game. But I don't remember the name of the aio game..

Do yourself a favor and look up these controller dongles for the og Xbox that let you use a ps2 controller. All the old Tony hawk games run best on Xbox but that controller is brutal for these games

Agreed. That's the reason I stopped playing 2x. Thps on an Xbox controller just felt wrong. Couldn't hit the same lines or string combos like on PS
