Nothing wrong with the UAD Pultecs, but damn Purple3 honestly embarrassed them with how much more depth and detail there is on the top end. Both have a nice rounds bottom, but I go for acustica since the high end detail and articulations across the frequency range are so much closer to the Pultecs and clones I have used. You can really tell on the vocal demo that Purple3 rounded and thickened the lows, and brought up the air and articulation, while the UAD did provide an ok warm bottom, but the top end was sharp and nice articulations turned into aggressive throat and plosive sounds.
I agree with the top. There was more realism in the top of the kick with the purple. Listening back to the vocal, there was more detail like silky and little less grainy
You shouldn't set the same parameters on GUI (it's different sounding devices modelled). Use Plugin Doctor if you want 1:1 CURVES. You can't tune phase for sure )))
Interestingly, my opinion was quite the opposite)) I have hated uad plugin delays for 9 years and have been trying to find alternatives all the time, but unfortunately their sound is always more to my taste.
I feel the AA sounds a tad louder than the UAD in this demo. This and the hatred against UAD will skew any opinion. The funny thing is AA plugins are as expensive as UAD but at least they run natively.
Why did you first dialed in settings on Purple and then set same values on UAD plugin? They all emulate different units, that comparison is flawed. Instead you need to try to get best sound out of both separately, then compare. Anyway, Purple will win, since there are many emulations in one package, which all sound different.
It would've been amazing if there was a Softube PE1C thrown in this comparison too, would like to hear how that one competes as well against these two beauties. Great stuff though, liked the Acustica version a lot.
As others have said, setting the (virtual) knobs at the same numbers doesn’t equate to the same EQ level settings. However, I still think the UAD ‘feels’ much better and has that ‘magical’ sound and depth (of a real one) that is lacking (by comparison) in the Acustica Audio version (to my ears and soul).
Ciao Marco, I think comparing plugins that emulating analog is some like to try to find the angel sex. They emulation altho is based on some units that for sure are not the same ...I mean UAD did it by "sampling" one unit that had his own sound and Acustica used another "sampling" with another unit....so since sampling technology is different, the raw material is different: they will never sound the same with same setup ..... You should to get both in your hand and use em in your pref track! My 2 cents..e comunque gli italiani stanno facendo cose bellissime peccato che pesano un casino per la cpu!
Krinzo logicstudio I could be wrong on this, but AA samples, and UAD models. And I believe that’s why AA plugs require more processing power to run. IMO, having used both the AA and the UAD Pultecs, The AA was far more authentic to the real Pultecs I’ve used in the past. I’m not a “fan boy” of either, I’m not blindly loyal to either... and with that in mind, I’m not saying that the UAD is “bad”, but... it’s not nearly as close in sound and response to the hardware that AA’s Purple is. FWIW.
@@donnythompson408 UA does both, it models the circuits but uses a few "golden units" and measures/samples them to find out what the unit should be and the real world result. I sometimes wonder about what some people listen on and how much real hardware they have used though.

I think the acoustica losed some details in the wide range and i feel it depth and wide clean but losed some details
Purple wins this one, it sounds more 3D and lively, while UAD's Pultec sounds flatter, especially on the vocal.
Thank you for your comments 🙏

Que gran definición y cuerpo le da el Acustica Audio , el mejor sin duda alguna!
UAD version works 2ms latency with UADx now, which is fraction against Purple
Purple on everything except the vocal, which I think sounded more solid on the UAD version
Purple 3 easily. Sounds more, alive, more real.
UAD sounds more flat and lifeless.
Thank you for your comments 🙏
iive got to get that purple for vocals....dayyyyymmmm
Thank you for Nice Comparison. I Need it.🙏
uad was very bad compared to acoustic audio, i say that as a uad user i am sorry to buy my apollo x6. with that money I would buy an RME interface
RME is amazing
RME UFX III, Best investment I've ever made for my studio.

I understand. Thank you
You can tune the phase which is called spectral phase invert. You can tune the timing as well.
@@Mixyap that's interesting! I am thinking about SSL phase plugin. Can you recommend something else?
I kept saying UAD is rip off....Plugin Alliance and Brainworx...or Analog Obsession even sounds better than UAD
Matter of Fact, Analog Obession over all might be the best sounding Plugins outside of Acustica Audio and thier FREE!! lol
The Turkish singer has a nice voice. Nice comparison btw.
Elimde Acustica Da Var Kullandım Ama Softube Tube-Tech Her Türlü Yiyor Onu Bu Sebepten Elim Otomatik Softube gidiyor
Evet gayet başarılı bir plugin.
Onunla ilgili de video var ;)

Appreciate this!
Thanks for your video ! CPU load for Purple 3 ?
Spending too much CPU
@@HasanDelenHomeStudio 😕 +1 for UAD
@@HasanDelenHomeStudio Purple is light comparing to the other AA plugins.
UAD Sounds congested and boxy by comparison to The Acustica Purple.

Teşekkürler video için. Noisash'in Rule Tec'ini deneme imkânınız oldu mu?
Maalesef ama deneyeceğim 👍
La nueva vercion de ruletec está al mismo nivel de uad y acústica audio y la gente no lo saven
What's the CPU usage of the Acustica Purple?
seven more
Uda 🎉🎉🎉

And they also need lot of power....
From my expirience If I need boost lows I better take the UAD because the PURPLE wash away the lows. It's getting not so tight as in the original
👍

Input is on 0%, why not put it to 100%?
Acoustica all day

AA более жирно и витажно звучит в то время как UAD пампит больше и по цифровому
acustica
Easily Purple 3, UAD is lifeless
Thank you for your comments 🙏
AA are waaay more musical, UAD stays in 90s, harsh, plastic, thin; yet money greedy.
Thank you for your comments 🙏
I've own purple it sounds more like hardware uad sounds like plastic
Thank you for your comments 🙏
the winner is always the same; UNIVERSAL AUDIO (In my opinion), thankyou again!!!
