A simple history lesson should shut up most Protestants Just remind them they were nowhere to be found when the NT was written , when the canon was finally finished and for centuries when monks copied it by hand.

(The kingdom of heaven is like…) All 3 knew the Master, and the one who didn’t use his talents was cast out into the darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. (That isn’t heaven). Please correct me if this isn’t an example of faith without works.

First, a few preliminary points, just because something isn’t gospel doesn’t mean you’re not required to believe it (a) logical statements like- a thing cannot both be and not be at the same time eg. a married bachelor (b) a law of physics eg. The speed of light (c) a historical fact eg. That Peter, whom Jesus gave the primacy to has had an unbroken line of successors even until now with Pope Francis. The proof texts for the existence of Traditions (that we are obligated believe) can be found in these Bible passages: Thess 2:15; 2 Tim 2:2; 1 Cor 11:2; 1 Thess 2:13 - Paul speaks of oral tradition Acts 2:42 - early Christians followed apostolic tradition 2 Jn 1:12; 3 Jn 1:13-14 - more oral tradition 2 Pet 1:20-21 - against personal interpretation of Bible Acts 8:31; Heb 5:12 - guidance needed to interpret scriptures Examples of oral Traditions would be the form and matter of each of the 7 Sacraments, how to properly worship God in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the replacement of Sabbath observance with Sunday, and many others that are not found directly in the Bible, and of course they can never contradict the Bible. This is why we need the Church who preserves all the Traditions in tact for us and to be sure we are not led into error by anyone trying to manipulate the word of God to make it mean something it does not. Does that make sense? The official interpretation of the Biblical passages is itself an example of oral tradition too! I hope that helps.

Charity, love for the brethern, meekness, willingness to share the gospel and stff like that. Ive glanced at the writings of these men you mention. They paraphrase scripture and then add little things. Let me tell you alittle secret. After pentacost when the holy ghost was given to men, the good news was spread by word of mouth from one person to the next. One saved person would lead another to christ. Then that person would lead others to christ. No organization, no costumes, no flag, no money laundering bank. When i was first saved, the Lord led me to others that this happened to. We would meet in living rooms, the park and such. Young and old. Sitting in peoples homes who befor they were born again would never have let this motley crew into their homes. We all had one thing in common.....we all knew the Lord personally. We know his voice and another we wont follow. Thats why i dont care for these early church fathers, because i dont hear the voice of the Lord in them. Its no joke, its true. I catch flack because of that. "How dare you tell me im not born again" Well, nows your chance to do something about it. Dont be mad at me.
How to get to heaven? Jesus said, "You got to be born again! Steve, how does one get born again? Steve is misleading people. He's talking so much. Keep it simple.

In John chapter 3 when Jesus is teaching Nicodemus he uses the word “ANOTHEN” which can mean “again” or “from above”. Nicodemus misunderstands Jesus to mean “again” and he says I am too old to enter into my mother’s womb again. So, to clear up the confusion Jesus says “unless one is born of water and spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God”. And, this all happened right after Jesus had just been baptized by John and the Spirit of God came down upon Him. This is why Peter says “Baptism now saves you” (1 Peter 3:21)
