East Coast here. The Dollar General’s around here were selling the 16 oz cans of Jolt Cola for a long while for $1. They up and stopped about 6 months ago, I was devastated.

We also have them in our Dollar General in the Midwest too. I think that Dollar General might be the only store that has them which I'm aware of so far.

I don't know where there's a Dollar General store in my area, but I'd bought some on Amazon & it was great. Because the shipping charge was so much, I hadn't bought any more recently & wasn't sure if it was still available or if there were any fresh cans left. In any case, just because it didn't last or may have been discontinued again doesn't make it a fail. It's more a fail of society to keep a product from being available to those who love it. Perhaps it should've been made (& still should be made) available on a limited basis (through special orders, if the shipping can be made affordable).

When I was a kid, I spent most of the summer with my friends at the pool. One day, a New Coke van arrived, offering free samples in little paper cups. We stood in line for what felt like forever, until we finally got our samples. We made a toast, and drank it down. It was horrible. Just...so horrible. But we thought that maybe it was just flat, having been poured out of a 2-liter that was who knows how old. So we went to the vending machine and bought a frosty cold can. Still horrible. It confirmed my status as a die-hard Dr. Pepper fanatic.

So basically, Jolt & Josta were the original OG energy drinks!! Lol! They sell Jolt Cola at my local Dollar General, though sadly, I've learned that it's not the original formula, used back in the 80s. I definitely remember Slice, & was a big fan! Would LOVE to see a Slice comeback!!
Serge and volt were good but my crack was pepsi blue. That stuff was legit and I miss it badly... T.T do you all remember when pepsi did pepsi vanilla in the early 2000s..
It be awesome for Pepsi Blue to came back but it wouldn't be the same shade of blue (due to the color dye being banned everywhere) and knowing Pepsi they f it up by making it taste like Pepsi but blue instead of the berry flavor it had.

Jolt returned in Sep 2017 as a Dollar General exclusive. If I recall correctly, it was only supposed to be for a limited time. Almost two and half years later, it has been put on clearance at the DG nearest me. According to Jolt's website, it's supposedly also available at Casey's convenience stores. I've only seen it once at Casey's, though.

I can remember in the late 80s when I lived in Seattle Washington drinking the Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum soda while sitting on the beach those were the days and by the way that like literally was my favorite soda of all time. I still to this day as an old ass person eat bubble gum ice cream
I remember attending a local autoshow in 93 and they were promoting Crystal Pepsi by giving out free samples. I still kept the plastic cups with the logo on it although they are pretty brittle now xD There was also another soda I really liked called Mr. Green by SoBe Beverages. It had ginseng in it and the drink itself was a dark green color.
Scott Williamson Certain sodas FRESCA comes to mind with grapefruit can cause near fatal reactions Valium & Xanax. I liked the original JOLT & Pepsi Clear Pepsi clear just didn’t make a good mixer. When Surge returned briefly, my Son bought 50 + cases sold enough to cover his own. Burger King still has a few fountains with it
There was a night in college that I was writing a paper I'd let go for far too long...I ended up drinking a 2 Liter bottle of Jolt Cola, since I wasn't that big into coffee. I was up for 40 straight hours getting that paper done and then taking it on campus to turn it in. Couldn't feel my legs for the last few hours, but I got an A. Then I slept for about four hours and got up to go to a party...oh, to be young again.
Actually, crystal pepsi DID taste like regular caffeine-free pepsi. The key words here were caffeine-free-they always had a slightly lighter taste-because the slight bitter edge of the caffeine was absent. If you compared any caffeinated cola with the caffeine-free version, this was always true. As for Slice, the lemon-lime and orange flavors were good, but the apple flavor was not so good.
1. They already had bubble gum soda for years, Red soda from Texas 2. They already had grapefruit soda for years, Fresca, they just don't spoil it by telling you it I'd grapefruit. That's as far as I got

I do remember new coke. I did like the taste as I recall. From what I remember the issue was never the taste being bad. It wssn't. It just wasn't the old stuff. That's why people were upset. No choice given. Now if they had put both out and old coke dropped and new coke soared in sales you'd be forgiven for lowering production of the classic. Not canceling it altogeher. That was a step too far.

I remember back in my freshman and sophomore years in high school, I loved hubba bubba cola. Sounds like most don't like it. I guess I am weird like that.
The first run/first gen JOLT cola was a kick start for a 747 but after it was pulled off the market then came back the "jolt" wasn't there and it tasted like the old RC cola. If you still want a bubble gum flavored soda try Big Red.
The first time I had Crystal Pepsi was a couple of years back with the re-release, I was working at a Walgreens, so it was readily available during the run, and since then I've been hooked on them. I don't drink a lot of soda to begin with and, being from the South, I'm more of a sweet tea drinker, but I loved the Crystal Pepsi because it didn't stick to my teeth the same way dark sodas do, especially regular Pepsi. I wish they would just make it a permanent product, but that's the world we live in. Also I've seen Jolt Cola in most Dollar Generals I've been to.
I loved jolt Cola and crystal Pepsi. In the early 90s in US were a crystal trend and they brought another crystal food. Pepsi established crystal Cola in Germany from 1992 until 1994/1995. I still miss it. The taste wasn't so sweet and was something special.
1. Guaraná is not pronounced ga-RAH-nuh; it is pronounced gwah-ra-NAH. My favorite soft drink is Guaraná Antartica. 2. The current Coca-Cola is not the same as the old Coca-Cola. The old Coke was sweetened with sugar. The current Coke is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. The Coca-Cola plants in Mexico still use sugar. I find Mexican Coca-Cola at Fiesta Mart.
I love Crystal Pepsi! Quite honestly, I think it should be released every Summer. And to no surprise, I loved New Coke/Coke II as well! Lol! I really miss Josta! I love the flavor of guarana. Me and a couple of coworkers were talking about it thee other day.
I just had a Grapefruit Sunkist Soda 2day, it was great...I enjoy eating Grapefruits all the time and I am averagely healthy. I was all about Jolt Cola 1.0 and 2.0 (in the large 'Battery Cans' the ones they use for NOS Energy drinks sometimes). At least Josta tasted better than reg Red Bull, but when they introduced the short live Red Bull Cola it was pretty close. Fun Fact: New Coke is (ingredient wise) pretty much what they are selling today as Coke. Fun Fact#2: They introduced 7-Up Golden to compete with 'brown' sodas.

I remember attending a local autoshow in 93 and they were promoting Crystal Pepsi by giving out free samples. I still kept the plastic cups with the logo on it although they are pretty brittle now xD There was also another soda I really liked called Mr. Green by SoBe Beverages. It had ginseng in it and the drink itself was a dark green color.

Certain sodas FRESCA comes to mind with grapefruit can cause near fatal reactions
Valium & Xanax. I liked the original JOLT & Pepsi Clear Pepsi clear just didn’t make a good mixer. When Surge returned briefly, my Son bought 50 + cases sold enough to cover his own. Burger King still has a few fountains with it

There was a night in college that I was writing a paper I'd let go for far too long...I ended up drinking a 2 Liter bottle of Jolt Cola, since I wasn't that big into coffee. I was up for 40 straight hours getting that paper done and then taking it on campus to turn it in. Couldn't feel my legs for the last few hours, but I got an A. Then I slept for about four hours and got up to go to a party...oh, to be young again.

I remember mainly Slice and Crystal Pepsi. I loved Slice as a kid. Crystal Pepsi? It's okay but it didn't taste the same as regular Pepsi.
Actually, crystal pepsi DID taste like regular caffeine-free pepsi.
The key words here were caffeine-free-they always had a slightly lighter taste-because the slight bitter edge of the caffeine was absent.
If you compared any caffeinated cola with the caffeine-free version, this was always true.
As for Slice, the lemon-lime and orange flavors were good, but the apple flavor was not so good.

I do remember new coke. I did like the taste as I recall. From what I remember the issue was never the taste being bad. It wssn't. It just wasn't the old stuff. That's why people were upset. No choice given. Now if they had put both out and old coke dropped and new coke soared in sales you'd be forgiven for lowering production of the classic. Not canceling it altogeher. That was a step too far.

The first run/first gen JOLT cola was a kick start for a 747 but after it was pulled off the market then came back the "jolt" wasn't there and it tasted like the old RC cola. If you still want a bubble gum flavored soda try Big Red.

The first time I had Crystal Pepsi was a couple of years back with the re-release, I was working at a Walgreens, so it was readily available during the run, and since then I've been hooked on them. I don't drink a lot of soda to begin with and, being from the South, I'm more of a sweet tea drinker, but I loved the Crystal Pepsi because it didn't stick to my teeth the same way dark sodas do, especially regular Pepsi. I wish they would just make it a permanent product, but that's the world we live in.
Also I've seen Jolt Cola in most Dollar Generals I've been to.

I loved jolt Cola and crystal Pepsi. In the early 90s in US were a crystal trend and they brought another crystal food. Pepsi established crystal Cola in Germany from 1992 until 1994/1995. I still miss it. The taste wasn't so sweet and was something special.

1. Guaraná is not pronounced ga-RAH-nuh; it is pronounced gwah-ra-NAH. My favorite soft drink is Guaraná Antartica.
2. The current Coca-Cola is not the same as the old Coca-Cola. The old Coke was sweetened with sugar. The current Coke is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. The Coca-Cola plants in Mexico still use sugar. I find Mexican Coca-Cola at Fiesta Mart.
Plus the "real" old coke burnt your throat as it went down. RC used to be that way too. But it also got watered down.

I just had a Grapefruit Sunkist Soda 2day, it was great...I enjoy eating Grapefruits all the time and I am averagely healthy.
I was all about Jolt Cola 1.0 and 2.0 (in the large 'Battery Cans' the ones they use for NOS Energy drinks sometimes).
At least Josta tasted better than reg Red Bull, but when they introduced the short live Red Bull Cola it was pretty close.
Fun Fact: New Coke is (ingredient wise) pretty much what they are selling today as Coke.
Fun Fact#2: They introduced 7-Up Golden to compete with 'brown' sodas.
