      Arrange an owner financed mortgage. Just get an agreement with the seller and get a contract set up with a lawyer. I bought Mt house that way.

    Thank you Joseph. Love this one. Not too big, not too small. Roughly how much would it cost to make the house habitable: i.e, reroof, join to electric grid, add a (composting?) toilet, and a means of purifying the well water so that it is drinkable? Thank you again.

    I can’t wait to come back to Portugal. It’s going to take me a while, but I’ll make it there eventually. My son is going to graduate from university in May! That will help, no more expensive tuition. 😅

    I 💙 it❣️ Absolutely beautiful❣️💯 The largest living organism is Pando, a clonal colony of quaking aspen trees located in Utah, which spans over 8 kilometers and weighs approximately 13 million pounds. Another contender is the giant marine plant Posidonia australis, which covers an area of about 200 square kilometers in Australia. They all share the same root system, they're clones❣️

    You said the building could be enlarged, is that a second floor or a bigger footprint?

    • @Farmerforfun

      Both potentially, paperwork for second floor is easier than extending footprint though

  • @tlmiam1

    About 1 1/2 acres of land. Density of the trees? Say about 50 trees. Not commercially viable. So a “hobby farm” a 35,000 euro donation. How many holiday houses could you hire for that? OR if you invested it, how much per year to pay for holidays?

    I am 8 minutes in, do you have to join be connected to the grid or could u be off grid with solar ect?.
    Also on a property like this could u build a none permeant cabin,? Would u need planning if it was like a caravan say,?
    Cheers

  • @infour44

    Does the property have a damp proofing membrane under the (concrete?) floor. Or is it simply a ‘dirt/earth’ floor.
    Greetings from breezy but sunny Lagos. 😊

    Joseph would it be possible to build a house on this farm?

  • @billyohara239

    What would you need to put a building on the land

    • @Farmerforfun

      There is already one there that has a ruin as the footprint, so to rebuild that to a modern standard, it can be done straight away, to extend outwards need an architect

      @ my thougt was that suckers left to grow might not be true to the cultivar.
      But what do I know in Denmark

    • @Farmerforfun

      Ahh I see, yes you are correct, due to them not being grafted they are indeed true to the rootstock

    • @prichards8229

      Why ? to have 6000sqm of grass? and destroy 50 years plus of growing? You belong to the city, not the countryside!
