'Lansky' has a serrated sharpener, (pocket size) for Cold Steel serrated blades. mfg. code is 'LTRCS'...8 - 11 $'s depending on the store...reshapes/sharpens the serrations, then strop or lightly sharpen the beveled side.. .hope this helps....
I was going to mention the Lansky Cold Steel Sharpener that has a section for serrations, but someone beat me to it. I will go check out the young ladies channel and give it a peek.
One last thing about tht fully serrated Vaquero Grandes I have, and fully serrated blades in general: I have the feeling that the 6" blade of the Vaqueros are better in chopping twigs up to about 1" diameter than any of my 5 - 6" knifes without serrations. Especially if you look on the weight and the weight distribution of those knifes. If you hold the knife in the "third position", what for me is right on the end of the handle, this knifes develop an insane cutting capacity. Sure, the recurve of the Vaqueros do help, too, but a faster, cleaner cut, just in one swing, is not that easy with one of my similar sized knifes of similar weight. The serrations give the knife a real good bite on wood and other materials, what gives you a verry safe, straight cut. #22aday Stay safe, and stay blessed. Greetings from Germany!
Nice Cold Steel Voyager Grande Vaquero 6" nice 👍👌collector; 👍 I have the newer version 10A Aus Steel fully serrated edge 😀 5.5 3 position grip grivory handle I really like 👍 deploys fast as all Cold Steel do.
I have always been one of those who didn’t “like” serrations. In all honesty though, I never bought or used one. I’m damn impressed at what that thing can do. Thanks for the kind words brother. Have a fantastic weekend.
Don't have many, but LOVE how serrations grab the sh!t out of stuff you're cutting. It's the right tool for the particular job, people don't understand that. It ain't about just looks, serrations do something, and they do it well. #22aday #nevergiveup
Is this video about knife throwing? Oh, I misspoke, is it about knife falling...? It was the modernized "American Tanto" blades that made me a huge fanboy of Cold Steel knifes. But it was my Vaquero Grandes who made me a huge fanboy of fully serrated blades, but this two Vaqueros are enough for me, because I really prefer straight blades without serrations. Anyway, you are able to do anything with a serrated blade you are able to do with a unserrated one. Scab showed the right way to sharpen the serrated blade, this is how Cold Steel recommends it. If you have to sharpen one of those serrated Cold Steel knifes it is most of the time enough, if you just stropp the back side of the blade. If there are bigger issues with the edge, there are some systems with ceramic rods that fit into the big serrations. So you are able to give back this aereas their sharpness. But, to be honest, this was not ncsessary for the first 30 years I had the Vaqueros. I hope that the new edge I gave them some weeks ago does hold as long as the factory edge did. This edge retention is fucking impressive for the japanese VG1 those Vaquero Grandes have been made of. Yeah, and they are made in Japan. #22aday Stay safe, and stay blessed. Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for the comparison with the voyager i was hesitating between those 2, now from my understanding there's isn't or there isn't anymore something as a RECON 1 XL there's just the RECON 1 and it's a big folder knife now i'm not qualified to say if CTS XHP is better than the new S35VN but one thing is sure is that CTS XHP models are nearly a 100 dollars cheapers and good as a S35VN is i don't think it's worth putting that much more money to get it.
Never thought that you would use clickbait, Megatron probably fills used.😂🤣😂🤣 I don't have a serrated knife but you got me seriously thinking about getting one. #22aday
Man brotha scab this is such a badass knife it’s one of my very favorite grails... yes like you said very very difficult to find......I think the last one I saw on eBay was $350 😱
Keep on keeping on brother 🤘
Great tests on the Recon XL. Great knife.
#22aday Cold Steel for the win.

CTS XHP Carpenter Steel Recon 1 Tanto
Super Steel is already a Cold Steel Legend.

You Da'Man Scab! Great review as always brother. Keep grinding!
wild looking knife
i do believe you just found you another carry knife
Great video 👊
Another cool 😎video Scab 😎 take care brother 🙏
For the emerson wave. You can take out the thump studs and put a zip tie through it. This work quite well.
Great suggestion
Brother that knife is starting to grow on me I really like the look of it
Just got one of these bad Larry’s from a nation member ! Couldn’t be more impressed with this blade 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Big fan of it!!

I always disliked serrated edge knives, till I had to cut wet rope, I carry one for seat belt escape, only purpose personally I have a serrated blade.
I don't like serrrated edges either LOL . They do come in handy though for certain tasks I like having one maybe two knives but that's about it

I dig that thing! ⚔🤘
It's an animal!
The serrated edge on those 2 Cold Steel knives you have Scab are vicious slashers. The 🐅 Claw cts xhp is very good 👍👌slash and penetration

lynn didn't say serrations are 3xs sharper, he said it cuts 3 times deeper especially in self defence situations.
Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!
Those are some bad mamma jammas.
Love them!

When cutting fibers or tubing, there is nothing like a good serration. #22aday
